I fully agree with you. People say they're tired of FLs being so weak, then when they get a strong or well-written one, they still bash her or nitpick her somehow! Ba-Ram/Seo-Yeon in Vengeance of the Bride was a great FL in the past few KBS dailies. She was tough, determined, and fiery. Yet, some people still hated her. Min Hee-Kyung and Kim Gemma from Red Shoes were great too. Gemma was just too emotional, and Hee-Kyung was the ruthless villain.
Maybe the writers will turn Hye-Won evil. It won't be a surprise to me either. To me, a good FL is resilient and flawed. There is no such thing as a flawless protagonist. If a protagonist was flawless, the show would be boring.

They've also ended Good For You and I Trusted Him (MBC drama, the other was SBS I think) early, too. I Trusted Him was cancelled, though. Wang Bitna played a good girl in that one.
