2024 is the year of the dragon per Chinese calendar thus, BT21 release a theme set!
I am slowly trying to collect one for each member but I also can’t buy a whole set lol. I always tend to buy RJ or Mang but for this edition, I wanted the rap line and RJ lol. I only have Chimmy and Cooky left to complete my OT7 collection.
I am well and have bee crazy busy in real life due to my job. Happy holidays to everyone na.-

I also hope people will give this drama a chance because it is still quite good; haven’t enjoyed a drama like this since LLTG. This one will go into my favorite list for sure. Now I just enjoy the soundtrack and behind the scenes.

Ending thoughts
SpoilerFor a realistic and sad ending, I think it really ended true to the themes of fulfilling their duties to secure peace, the brotherhood, and helping those you love etc.
My own personal theory, is that they are all died very heroic deaths and fulfilling what they set out to do! I can live with this ending and don’t regret watching this series. I cried each time one of the 5 died! All the great stuff out numbered the weakness, and there were many flaws for sure. The pacing was all over the place half way onwards and again super rushed ending - meh. No scenes of Jiu and Ying together as rulers even!
I think the random kids with tribute names to Ning, Shisan, and Ruyi is more of a symbolic tribute that survivors of the war recognized their sacrifices. There is no way Ruyi survived or wanted to (per her internal thoughts that she was too lonely without Ning and they emphasized again that she wasn’t pregnant too during OTP scenes).

37 and 38 were better than I thought too. Despite the tragedies, the political mess gets fully address and there was so really good, unexpected turns!

Been crying non-stop for ep 35-36 - the death of each brother is done well but when it’s back to back; oof especially for Yuan Lu’s. They all be heroes in their own way especially to smack sense into the Wu emperor at how wrong, terrible he was.
Still because of the slowed down and light episodes fillers, I didn’t think it was gonna go back to brutal realism.
I can see why people won’t be happy but I don’t mind the sad ending. I survived sad Cdramas before. Honestly, it has been hinted all along and it’s a suicide mission from the get go.

I will watch the rest probably tonight and tomorrow since I VIP access but it was work that kept me too busy etc.
Another excellent soundtrack from this series too.
edit: I am on ep 36 now….I won’t say anymore except that for fans that only watch for happy endings — Ep 34 is really the ‘happy ending’ exit - meaning stop here for that and do not proceed.

I am caught up to ep 34 and whew!
- so happy re the princess’ arc and character development! It’s probably one of the best so far for a secondary character
- happy for OTP and their healthy relationship lol. Their scenes are so fun to watch.
- finally, the mission plot advancement!! The action!
- one unfortunate big flaw was the weird momentum slow down by derailing the main plot with sub plots and stretching it too long but this is THE big Cdrama issue cuz of the long episodes. We didn’t need to devote entire episodes etc.
Very very interest to see what remains in the last 6 episodes.

I am watching Ep 15 and I’m gonna say it
SpoilerI don’t trust the princess’s BF? he just pops up out of no where? Oh no he caused a lot of trouble !!! Man - how did the shady BF outdo the members of the hall?!?!
Dump him ASAP girl…. So many red flags
ah I was right! What a scum bag !! Ugh I the princess is still too naive and stupid!
Bravo to this show for going against the stereotypical and predictable route!

The drama does good on adding in the really funny scenes to balance the politics. I haven’t laughed this hard re a C drama in a long while. At the same time, I enjoy the OTP, group dynamics, and fight scenes too! I just finished ep 14 and will stop for a bit.

I am ep 9 and yes, so far I have no complaints. This drama has been my happy place since I started to watch it.
I haven’t laughed and rooted for such a group in a Cdrama in a while.
I love the two main characters - flaws in all- and both LSS and LYN are great in this show. The pace has slowed a bit for the character back story, relationship building but I love the two assassins from warring countries finding love and working out all the trust, trauma, loyalty issues.
oh ep 10 was sooooooo great

Just finished ep 2 and 3! So far so great! Entertaining and fast paced! Love the characters (leads chemistry is great!) and plot is good kind of complicated.
I love the embedded PSA: remember to check and your data sources and quality!
One negative is the overacting my the Prime Minister guy lol

I am also enjoying this drama. Ep 1 was sooo fantastic and the young leads were excellent. I can’t believe it’s ending soon. Another excellent drama with PEB and CJH is adorable and N is also very good - glad both are gaining recognition.

Hi hi it’s been a long long while since I came here. Hope friends are doing good! Haven’t watched Cdramas in a while but this was on my most anticipated list.
So I am watching!!!! I got iQiyi VIP just for this drama lol. I am watching ep 1 and so far - the story MOVES fast! I think my subs had some errors and it got a bit confusing re the details but overall - I am happy!! It seems to be quality - strong leads, interesting characters/plot/writing, good music, beautiful costumes - just from ep 1 lol. I love all of LSS/Ruyi’s fighting scenes lol
SpoilerLSS still so beautiful and she plays Ruyi so cold - like ice cold which I find intriguing and different than most female lead.
LYN fits his character too! He has gotten a bit better looking too! Glow up lol. His character arc is also very interesting.

I love love love Hobi’s ‘on the street’ w/J. Cole. The MV was great too. Sounds better on headphones and iTunes.

Still waiting for news re Suga’s upcoming tour to here too. Lots of stuff to distract me from Jin and Hobi being gone for a bit!
