On January 23rd, the 7th 'APAN Star Awards' were held to recognize celebrities who made a contribution to Korean Television and Hallyu. The award show was initially scheduled for November, but it took place in January due to a resurgence of COVID-19 in Korea.
Hyun Bin won Daesang with 'Crash Landing on You', and his acceptance speech made a lasting impression on viewers. Hyun Bin said, "I'm so grateful to start off the new year with such an honorable award. I have a feeling I should do better this year as a response to this award. I've received so much love thanks to 'Crash Landing on You' all year last year and even to this date. Thank you to my fans and viewers who have been supporting and watching 'Crash Landing on You' all over the world."
He continued, "I am so thankful for Jeong Hyeok's best partner Yoon Se Ri, Ye Jin. I believe it was Ye Jin, who portrayed Yoon Se Ri so well, made RiJeong Hyeok look so much cooler. I wanted to say thank you. I will do my best to show my better self in the near future to all of you." The viewers reacted that his acceptance speech was sweet and respectable because he showed gratitude to actress Son Ye Jin as his co-lead, not as his girlfriend although the couple has publicly announced their relationship.

- Son Ye Jin kicked off the new year by letting the world know she's found someone special! After Dispatch reported that Son Ye Jin is dating Hyun Bin, the Crash Landing On You star confirmed the news via her agency before she addressed the development on her Instagram. While fans are celebrating this union, an interview of the actress taken in 2018 caught our attention wherein the actress talks about dating and marriage. As reported by Soompi, the actress was asked why she was not involved in a dating scandal.
The Negotiation star joked she was bad at dating. "In order to date, you need to make up your mind to date, meet many people, and have blind dates offered to you, but that’s not easy. It’s more difficult as you get older. I don’t think it’s possible to do something by force either," she said at the time, adding that she was waiting for the one! Son Ye Jin also addressed the subject of marriage and said nothing was set in stone at the time.
Son Ye Jin also spoke about marriage impacting acting career. She noted that all actresses are worried that marriage could impact their career. "When I look around me, people who are married are unable to do all the work they want to do. Being a mother and wife are big roles. I would like to spend a lot of time for my family, but I think I’m still immature. I don’t know if I’ll be able to do that," she said.
Nevertheless, the Be With You star said that personal happiness is as important as being ambitious in career. "Just because I’m happy with my acting life doesn’t mean I’m happy with my personal life. I’m always making an effort to balance between the two. I’m enjoying my work more than before, so I’m receiving less stress now," she said.

It’s official: both Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin have confirmed that they’re in a relationship!
On January 1, Hyun Bin’s agency VAST Entertainment stated, “Actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin met through their projects, and after the end of their drama, their positive feelings towards one another developed into a romantic relationship.”
The agency added, “We ask that you look warmly upon their relationship and cheer them on in the future.”
Son Ye Jin’s agency MS Team Entertainment similarly confirmed, “The two of them got to know each other through their acting projects, and after the end of their drama, they developed an interest in each other and ended up dating.”
Congratulations to the happy couple!

Dispatch has reported that Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin are in a relationship!
On January 1, Dispatch published a report claiming that the two stars have been dating for the past eight months—and that their relationship began after the conclusion of their hit drama “Crash Landing on You.”
According to Dispatch, when the co-stars denied dating rumors multiple times in the past, they were telling the truth and were not, in fact, romantically involved at the time. However, a source close to Hyun Bin reportedly stated that around March 2020, the two developed romantic feelings for one another. The anonymous source commented, “I think that after the drama ended and they spent time apart, they began to miss each other.”
Dispatch claimed that Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin met up several times to hang out with fellow actors following the end of “Crash Landing on You,” and during these get-togethers, they realized just how well-suited they were as a couple. They also reportedly bonded over their mutual love of golf.
Along with its report, Dispatch published photos of Son Ye Jin getting into Hyun Bin’s car.
Son Ye Jin’s agency responded to the report by stating, “We are currently in the process of checking with [the actress] after seeing the article.”
Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin starred together in the 2018 film “The Negotiation” before reuniting in the popular drama “Crash Landing on You” in 2019. The two actors have been swept up in dating rumors multiple times since, but denied the rumors each time.
