    what kind of time travel theory does TKEM follow? I know it’s grounded on travelling  between different time lines, but is it based on predestination paradox or inter-dimensional time travel? I thought it was cyclical time travel ,starting with him saving himself ,leaving JTE is ID for him and thus ,becoming who he is at the future.I thought him meeting her through time then and there made more sense to her attraction to him within the first few episodes .But no , this actually changes her attitude towards him when they first meet ,proving this is something that has changed and not something that has always been that way.Tell me ,did Lee Gon travel to another world of dimension and change things there? or is the woman who he is meeting at first Luna ?     From what I know, and understand is.. 

     

    Lee Gon come to the past,  not to another parallel world,  he want to change ( not let Lee Rim get manpasikjeok)  but he failed,  so.. He just want comeback to Tae eul in the right time (tae eul who is remember him), but he have to spent 4 months in "in between" place for come to 2020 tae eul, he sometimes come to tae eul in other years, for check the time,so he didn't go to the wrong time, 

     

    Yes, first one is Luna, in KOC when he even doesn't know about parallel world, 

    But actually not meet her,  just see her and chase her, 

    Future lee gon make Luna come to horse pen(?) for let past lee gon follow her so he know about the gate and meet tae eul, 

     

     

    I'm not good about explanation ,right?  Haha sorry..

    I guess like most of the viewers, it's the time travel aspect and the rules for time travel that are throwing me off.   Despite all the revelations in the last episode, I feel that it is STILL NOT CLEAR what rules we are following.  Because there are hints of both a loop and an alternative timeline type.  So here are more of my questions:

     

    1.    Do we all agree that this is NOT the Back to the Future alternative timeline type?  It can't be the same as BTTF because the scenes we saw in Episodes 1-13 are one original timeline only.  It's not a second timeline.   If it were a second timeline, then there should have been a first timeline where there was no one traveling in time (just like in BTTF).

     

    2.    If we all agree that Episodes 1-13 is the original timeline, then the 1994 scenes (up until that point where LG entered the gate trying to go back to 2020) in this Episode 14 ARE EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED in 1994 when they showed us in Episode 1.   The only difference being, they showed us the "how" which explains why we see scenes that we did not see in Episode 1 (Future LR getting killed, LG meeting Lady Noh in the corridor, LG trying to go after LR but seeing that Prince Buyeong's son helped LR escape etc).

     

    Incidentally, let me add that these whole sequence of events was very well done.   Perfectly executed.

     

    3.  OK here is where the divergence in time travel principles happens.   After the murder of his father, LG attempted to go back to 2020 and realized that he couldn't because LR was no longer there in the in-between.  So the time axis could not be used.

     

    It would have still been consistent with the loop theory if LG did not do anything from 1994 to 2020 that would have an effect of changing future events.  But he did (particularly, that 2016 meeting with JTE).   So now the question is:

     

    -What happened to that meeting we saw in Episode 1 where JTE was rude to him, and the events that happened subsequently thereafter?

    -What knowledge of LG does the JTE of Episode 14 have?  Only the fact that the same LG visited her in 1994 and in 2016?  

     

    4.   Now we go to my main point of confusion which is the time in the outside world while LG is "travelling" from 1994 to 2020.   Remember that when LG left in 2020 (after he left the hospital after his poisoning), he would have disappeared from 2020 at that point (because he went back in time).     So to avoid the "missing from KOC for 4 months" point, he would have to return to 2020 at the exact same point that he left right? (Thanks @Heretorant for clearing this up)

     

    Which means that if he goes back to the point where he left, he would not yet know that:

    • Luna stabbed JTE
    • The detectives found LR's hideout, and LR's people made it explode

    So, will he change these events as well?

     

    5.   Finally, LR.   Unlike LG, his future self cannot go back to 2020 anymore because his past self killed his future self.    So who is the LG we see in the previews (talking to PM).   

     

     

     

     

    From what I know is, 

     

    There is no timeline with Lee Gon who didn't rescue little lee gon

    It's just his fate to survive because lee gon future and lee gon future's fate to rescue him self in the past

     

     

    About the scene that she rude to him?  And lee gon hug tae eul first?? 

    That's just memory for future tae eul,  tae eul in the past didn't have that experience. 

     

    About other questions, I'm not sure with my answer,  so yeah, let's wait next episode,  maybe KES is kind enough to let us know everything, let our brain rest HAHA

    That man is the same person,  we didn't see that man's doppleganger,  that man just Lee Rim's people who in the night of traitor come to kill the king and get manpasikjeok, After 25 years, he is a water seller, and Lee rim take him to ROK,  and Lee con see him in restaurant and bring him back to KOC and die in there

    I just can't comprehend how she was able to pull every emotion off of her so perfectly, that makes you want to cry with her when she cries and laugh with her when she does. She's one hell of a brilliant actress in her generation. I stan!

     

    And these scenes:

     

    Having someone who loves you like LG does to TE? That's one in a million. LMH was able to really portray that well. Even the tiniest expression was so on point. Their acting makes you want to beg KES to give their characters a happy ending coz if not, your heart will break into million pieces too. So I really hope we are looking at a happy ending for these two coz they both deserve it.

     

    YESSS!!!  KIM GO EUN IS THE BEST ACTRESS!!! 

     

    She really good express all these emotions:tears:

    She is really good in other drama and movie too

    It's not like different place, but just different time,  so,  if lee gon change the past, the future will change, like tae eul who remember the new memory, 

     

    ...

     

    What I really curious is,  tae eul past and tae eul future have a same memory, so tae eul past will become tae eul future,  but how about lee gon?  If lee gon past do something like lee gon future, who come to the past, so, it will be repeat again??  Or lee gon in the future will vanish?

     

    .....

     

     Oh God..  Still so many questions! 
    Let's just enjoy all the episode even something still can't understandably  :joy:

    He hasn't been stuck there for 26 years, the time there flows differently and for him it equals only to 4 months. And exactly because those 4 months equal to 26 years, when he'll come back to 2020 it will be only days or a week at most since he left.

    The reason why LR's half of flute vanished but LG's hasn't been made clear yet and will be surely revealed later; however, perhaps it has to do with the fact that the 1994 LR didn't obtain the flute yet and the one who did died, or perhaps because LG HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE RIGHTFUL OWNER OF THE FLUTE BEFORE HE PICKED THE HALF OF IT UP IN 1994. My theory is that he didn't need to physically obtain it for it to be his.

    I thought he 'lost' about 4 months.. Because he came from 1994..and stay in "in between" place for 4 months and back to taeul. So tae eul didn't see him about 4 months.

    Oh God :blink: today episode is make me dizzy:crazy: 

     

    I'm almost have a heart attack with all the fact and then crying looking how LG/TE's love story that really complicated , it's sooooo sad :bawling:

     

    I think I understand almost all of the scene.. 

    And thank you for the theories,  make me more understand everything in this incredible drama :heart:

    Let's wait patiently around.. 20+ hours :confounded:

    Lee Gon didn't come to the past, Little Lee Gon didn't hear the flute, 

    And the king die,  Lee Rim get a complete manpasikjeok ,

    What will Lee Rim do?? 

    He will be almost immortal,  and..  What??  He wouldn't be a king,  so what he will do in his looooong life :joy:

    From what I see..  There is 2 saviors, 

    One, the guy who shoot the glass and kill almost all the traitors,  he look like clean the road for other guy who come..  That's Lee Gon,  our King :rolleyes: he look like shoot many times but actually just shoot one, lee rim,  but the bookstore guy block it and get shoot on his shoulder,  they run out,  and Lee Gon come to little Lee Gon,  make sure he is alive,  and little lee gon 'accidentally ' take Tae eul's ID card.. 

    End.. :D
