The people who wants SQ in the final main defense is that SQ has more energy and better moves. I think they have more energy because they do BIG moves as oppose to Kaba Modern isolations which are small, intricate, detailed moves. The way SQ dance is more of a b boy style. They do alot of hip hop and street styles of dance which require alot of energy and big movements. If they didn't dance with that kind of energy then obviously they would be kicked off the show by now. But what Kaba do is bring in a new flavor and style of dance. This is the first time I ever been introduced to iso. And Kaba kills it everytime. I mean come on its more rare to see somebody do what Kaba do. Its more common to see somebody dance like SQ just because its a known kind of dance and style. But that doesn't mean Kaba don't bring energy to their performance. They always have that swagger about them. Kindof like Hmmm I wonder what Kaba are going to do today with their isos. But everytime SQ comes on I know they are gonna have flips, acrobats and hip hop moves. It's very predictable. So thats why I think there should be a Kaba Modern/ Jabbawockeez Finale. I want to see two styles of dance compete with one another. Its a competition. So there should be diversity with the two finalist.
I think each crew brings something new to their signature moves. If you single out Kaba, its because you like their style and since its your first time being introduced to isos, I guess you would say they bring "new" flavor and style of dance on the show.
Isos rare on the show, yes.
SQ's main style of dance is hip hop(if that is what you are referring too) along with everyone else since this is a hip hop dance competition. Groups just added their own styles.
When you say that about their Isos I think the same about SQ's flips. We know its coming (isos for kaba and flips for SQ) but we don't know how, where, or when they are going to do it. BTW there are different types of flips/spins etc.
When it comes down to the final I'd like to see Jabba win b/c I feel they have a performance feel to them as opposed to Kaba (IMO). I can see kaba doing backup dancing for an artist and Jabba actually giving a story/performance/dance.
although i find that jabba is seriously a bigger crowd favorite.i think sq stayed so long is because of the whole voting thing, actually. what with so many posters above me stating how people vote for those of their own race just to keep them in the game. - a racial pride issue.
umm, maybe but like I stated before, you dont see ppl on fb/forums/youtube/etc. saying black pride like you see with azns.
I vote b/c I like them. period.

Well, this is your preference. I think Kaba's style is cool but I'm not really into the small movement...kinda looses my attention.
im watching old clips of the show right now and shane is a nut.first he said that iconic was too broadway. then he said on the broadway episode that broadway is the new direction for hip hop.
then he said that kaba brought back tutting, but status quo tutted in a pyrmaid on the souljah boy episode
then he said that kaba was the future of dance, then last week he turned around and said that jabba was
he said that live in color was the most verstile group on the show but then turned around and said breaksk8 was the most verstile group he has seen.

just depends on peoples' preferences and opinions. IMO, jabba vs SQ would be more interesting. jabba isn't ONLY bboy style, they've shown a hella lot more than that. and IMO, i think SQ's energy fits more of a battle/finale.
and also, i hope JABBA got the most votes

hope that clears a few things up. & i guess it WAS true that the music was changed last minute.
& yeah people say YURI isnt as pretty as other asian celebs etc. but if you actually GO to korea there aren't pretty girls like her... plus she hasnt had surgery either haha.
but yeah like i said i think people should STOP bashing her altogether.
Well that does clear somethings up. Never was bashing her but I just didnt see why she was singled out of the whole group.

But you know all hell's going to break loose if Jabba loses. Even more so than if Kaba loses.
If the judges are swayed by the popularity, and don't want crap from people, they'll more likely give it to Jabba.

Because the whole point is to get enough votes to beat Jabba, not to avoid elimination.
I think so, I mean its good enough to get them in the final two, but I think when it comes down to the decision for who to win I think it's left up to the judges as it usually is...unles they change it at the end
and let's be real, there are tons of black people voting for sq just because they're good and they're the last black crew left, just like there's asian people doing the same thing for kaba.....your dad's not being closed minded, he's just rooting for people who look/sound like him, people who have a closer background to him.........perhaps it's hard to understand in LA, but if you move to a city or town that is more representative of what America is like, one that isn't so diverse, you'll definitely have a greater sense of pride in whatever race you are....of course it'd be great if we just looked at each other as people but that's not the way the world works.......your dad probably roots for asians because he identifies with them because when he grew up or lived in america, people treated him differently because of his race.and you really think SQ vs Jabba will get more ratings than Kaba vs Jabba?? and how is putting sq and jabba saving any face?? if anything people will think it's more rigged if they had sq vs jabba......and mtv doesnt have to choose a winner, i think if you put a gun to everybody's head right now, we'd all say jabba's winning......and is anyone gonna stop watching the show because they're convinced it's rigged?? of course not, they'll just keep watching and complaining and MTV could care less about that as long as you're watching.
Iddk about the tons of black ppl voting for SQ becuase they r good and r the only last black crew left...I hvent seen ppl saying black pride or anything like that compared to some of the azn fans....so idk
Well, for me, it would be far more interesting to watch than Jabba and Kaba. They battle between Jabba and Kaba is just so predicatable and I'm getting used ot seeing kaba's moves...
last i checked the judges arent picking the winner in the final 2So votes will decide the winner in the end? If so, I'm voting like hell for Jabba.

Putting them in the bottom two will get more viewers+anticipation is only reason why I would imagine they told them to change the song last minute which is pretty crappy for them man.

Well I dont know her background so I'm not going to say anything about that but she seems to know alot of the technical moves and flips ppl do.
If the whole changing choreography last minute thing is true (which seems to be since many people have affirmed), I don't understand why the producers would do that to them since some people have said that Kaba KNOW the producers of the show. Why would the producers do this to them, then?Yeah, that Facebook thread... Kaba fans are scared crapless because they know Jabba's going to win since they're the most popular.
Doesnt mean Jabba will win as much as I would like (they win in popularity). Its down to the judge's decision which makes me nervous ....

i heard on another message board that the votes dont even count. its just another way for mtv to make mula if you vote by phone. i voted one time and that was the 2nd episode when live in color had the dancehall theme performance (big up jamaica lol) but yeah i voted and they charged me an outrageous price for that damn text. and im WITH CINGULAR! i called the customer service and everything i was heated!
and for the people who said that kaba has a whole organization behind them so theres no way they could be down in votes, i thought the same way before i believe that the show was riggid b/c Live in color is like an academy of dancers in miami. the crew is soo big and they had fan pages on myspace and crazy support i even saw someone on 106 n park rockin a live in color tee (when the crew was still on the show) so thats another reason why i believe the votes dont count.
but oh well as much as i would love to see a true street hip hop bboy battle with jabba and status i already know its gonna be between kaba and jabba. the producers already had it made up with who they wanted, but i also heard from a lil mole lol that kaba is suppose to win and jabba and the rest of the crews are going on a national tour. i dont know how true that can be..but if so all hell is going 2 break loose lol

Ahahaha I'm not surprised to see the Kaba fans suddenly claiming that the show is rigged after the most recent episode. Personally, rigged or not, you all need to keep in mind that the show is nearing a close and Kaba's always been a strong crew but Status Quo's fanbase has been gaining momentum. I think they get a lot of sympathy votes (if it weren't rigged; if it were, I'd take a guess that they put Kaba at the bottom to give everyone the top two being West Vs East).About the performances I thought Status Quo did a great job! They were so entertaining! XD
And I had really high expectations for Jabba because "All That Jazz" is one of my all time favorite musical numbers. I think they did a great job and this was actually the first time I disagreed with JC's critism, though I still give him kudos for not always kissing richard simmons like Shane and Lil' Mama.
Oh my gah, Yuri screwed up and cried. So what? A lot of other people on the show have screwed up and I'm sure they felt the same as Yuri. No need to highlight it even more. I mean, I felt bad that she screwed up as I do to the other dancers who have in their performances but no need to make her mistake special.
I think Kaba is a very talented crew, but their routines have become a bit repetitive.
BreakSk8 did a great job but I have to agree with the judges when they said that they didn't really do anything Broadway. But I don't blame them. Come on...."Dreamgirls"? Really? They should have done a "Cabaret" routine!
I question the sympathy votes. Maybe for some but I vote for them b/c I like them. But other than that I think you said it all. =D
well asians in general just dont vote.......plus even with the whole organization, that probably doesnt compare to just the regular person watching the show on mtv.......i mean if kaba modern started a youtube channel, and made every in the organization subscribe to it and make all their friends watch to get views, they still wont get as many views as esmeedenters, marie digby, david choi, etc.Actually I think they do. If you go to the facebook group they have a ton of azn fans and they usually say they are going to vote. I didnt notice untill I started reading the comments and seeing the pics. They had a forum topic saying dont vote for Jabba b/c they have a lot of fans and if you are a true Kaba fan, you shoould vote only for kaba =/. One guy said he was going to use a clicker that keeps clicking

the show isnt riggid to get kaba kicked off.
kaba won the us hip hop international in july 07' they got invited by the producers of hip hop international to be on ABDC which they also serve as co-producers. so i dont think the show is riggid to get kaba off. i mean they do KNOW the producers.
i just wish they do the international concept that they had before where they invite crews from around the world I really want to see the team from the west indies Eletrik and the Philippine All Stars on the show.

damn ughh i agree. gosh! it would be a boring richard simmons battle between kaba and jabba. im sorry kaba stans but thats just how i feel. i mean we already know jabba is going to be the champs but at least make it entertaining by having status quo battle them and compete for the title

I agree, it is predictable. I do want it to be between SQ and Jabba just b/c it would make it interesting instead of so predicatable. I do think Jabba will win. I just want the element of surprise and I kinda know what Kaba does so I'm not usually in ''Aww" of them.

Same here. As much as I liek SQ they won't win so I will go with my 2nd fav group Jabba. Kaba is a great DANCE group but Jabba (for me) brings more to the competition than just dancing. They telll a story WITH their dancing so I find that more interesting and they are very creative (Superman ftw).

I guess I've experienced that one moment when you feel like you've let everyone down so I shed a tear or two with her LOL

i mean forreals...everyone insults the other crews but if someone insults kaba all hell breaks loose. no one was taking up for live in color when people were saying that the 2 girls were sore losers and dirty sports cus they cried in shock b/c they were sent home.
this forum is soo biased at least i try to give some type of support to the underdogs even if im a jabba fan.
ok i just watch status quo performance again. please somebody tell me that ishh wasnt raw? they killed it! and im not even a status groupie lol i mean when they did the pose on the floor i went back 2 the movie and thought about the scene from when tracy was in dentention with the "Black" kids, the chair stunt was crazy, jamal getting into character, the juking in the chair the swinging of the arms.

I apprecrate it! I need impartial ppl! Tends to get annoying when ppl act blind. Sometimes some performances aren't great even if I like the crew.

Kabba was really bad this week (compared to previous performances). I'm really dissapointed and now i don't think they'll make it to the final =(
Which is sad. I think, they started AWESOME, but took a little for granted their position. They need to step it up BIG time, because we know that Jabba is finalist and Status Quo is getting a lot of simpathy and attention. And tbh they have pick it up this pass two weeks. (although I STILL don't like SQ style the same way disliked how the girls of LIC dance)
I don't think it's sympathy. I actually stopped voting, thinking other ppl would vote the usual way but maybe other ppl aren't voting anymore...
Doesnt matter if you dont like LIC's style they still did good.

agreeed... except for the "sick of kaba" part. i still like kaba.. but rewatching their performance.. they did pretty much suck this week. i dont think tehy did as bad as status quo tho but apparently a lot of people on this forum think they rocked it. i mean.. what part o the performance was good? i dont get it.
SQ did better than most of the creews (Kaba/Bsk8) IMO. I was slighty entertained with SQ's and Jabba's performances. In whole the challenge sucked.

i mean yuri is cute but people are acting like shes like Aaliyah (who i think is one of the most gorgeous women ive ever seen) i still dont see why cindy doesnt get any shine. the girl is crazzzzzzzzzzzy!!! i mean just go watch fusion 2007 and 2008 performances on youtube and shes in the middle. she kills it!
but i bet u Iconic is in Englishtown, NJ mad as hell lol it would have been lights out 2nite for all the crews if they were on there
Finally someone who sees it the same as I. I think Yuri is cute but ppl are acting like she is the prettiest thing walking. She looks like a lot of azn girl’s I’ve seen…cute. I do think part of the reason guys like her so much is b/c she can dance.

I'm officially sick of Kaba. the slaughtered Thriller and they just completely screwed Grease. granted the only good crew this week was Jabba (they were just okay) and that the ONLY group who could've done this was Iconic. and what te hell was SQ doing? ew. and breakst8, well they even know they were bad. to me, Jabba would've been better if their music was a bit faster.
Your being harsh and not giving credi where it's due. I knwo you are partial to Jabba but atleast give credit where ti is due. Jabba alogn with most of the crews did ok. SQ and Jabba made me smile this week but not get excited.

i hope they bring all the groups back 4 the last episode to perform.
I actually saw some girls from Fysh n Chicks in the audience at the end.
LIC should still be here....worse decision ever made on the show.

I know you probably don't care what I'm 'bout to say since I'm obviously biased for Yuri (and I'm pretty sure you're biased against, no offense),
but you wouldn't feel that great if you potentially stopped the dreams of your entire team in its tracks. (and even had your mistake pointed out on television)
And I 100% disagree that Jabba vs. SQ would be better.
I hope the finals are theme-less.
Just let the crews go all out!
Dont be dramtic Cripsy. She owuldnt have stopped their dreams at all. Most crews have messed up on the show and manged to move on with their dreams.
I hope the last episode has a REAL battle. No themes or choreographed stuff...just dancing.
