    [Drama 2018] What is Wrong with Secretary Kim, 김비서가 왜 그럴까

    This drama is absolutely hilarious and good. The title should have been "why vice-president LYJ" lol :D.

     

    Now that I have watched ep 2, things are starting to make sense. My theory is that YJ is not in love with secretary Kim yet. I mean he likes her but not in a romantic way. It is more like she understands him and his needs better. Also she is the type to not betray his trust and I think this means a lot to him as a person. Exactly why he was so shocked and can not understand why she is leaving him. But the problem here is that he is so self-centred that he forgot that she is a person who has a life to live and will not always be there for him.

     

    When they were texting each other and Secretary Kim was complaining to him about the way he Is, his reply to me was sincere. He said that if she told him, he was willing to it for her; but she never told him anything. That flashback from 9 years ago was an evidence that he is willing to change his rule for her. I mean he gave her a second chance which he normally wouldn't do. This confirms that he need to hear from their mouths what the problem is, otherwise he will never know. 

     

    Secretary Kim is absolutely amazing, is confident, and good at dealing with YJ. I resonate with her because I'm also in the stage where I have a good job but want to start doing little things for myself except I don't have a boss like hers lol. I'm looking forward to her journey on how she finds herself. Plus how she falls in love with him Lol, this will be fun. 

     

    I'll stop watching from this ep because I want to marathon the rest of the drama. Waiting for new eps every week is a torture lol. I'll try my best to avoid although I'm not sure how long though:tongue:.

    Finally caught with this drama and it is amazing. Now if they can only give us the preview early:D:D:D lol. The torture of waiting :rolleyes:. Now back to the drama.

     

    - DC is definitely a con artist and a real prosecutor lol. I'm forward to everyone on the prosecution office finding out that a con artist did their job properly lol. The embarrassent:lol::lol::lol:.  I like the way he gets the work done and I hope at the end, he takes the bar exam because he is good at the job. I like his relationship with HR. They are my favorite partners in crime lol. 

     

    - JS is the opposite of DC. He used to stick to the rules but now he learning the tropes from our con artist lol. I hope the writer doesn't go with the twin theory. I like them both as they are. I hope he doesn't die until justice gets served:unsure:. 

     

    - What can I say about HR. She is awesome and perfect partner for DC:D. The girl is a con artist at heart lol. I love that she is independent and doesn't need saving. I hope DC doesn't betray her for real or else she is gonna beat the living crap out of him lol.

     

    -  DC teammates are excellent and really good. I have a feeling that whoever called DC on the day of the Bar Exam was the ajjushi.

     

    The flour-drug accident was really funny. I though DC conned the prosecutors for real lol. That was a really good twist. 

     

    Chief Yang makes me laugh. The poor guy has to answer to his supervisor but at the same time has to clean up after HR and DC mess lol. Keep up with the prayer chief Yang. U gonna need it hahahahaha:lol:. 

     

    As for HR mom, she is complaining about having a prosecutor as a son in law. Wait until she gets a con artist as a son in law if DC and HR end up together. The famous neck-grabbing will happen lol.

     

    This is my first time liking villains in a legal drama especially the ex-detective. There is something about him that is different and I hope DC puts up a good fight.

    Finished watching both eps with subs. Yey JEC lived. I love the open ending. Now on my thoughts of everyone:

     

    JEC: he got the chance to start all over again; his job and regaining his identity as JEC. He had a peaceful look at the end and I couldn't ask for more. His relationship with NMH was left to our imagination whether they will get together or not. They both admitted that they want each other but because there was too much lies and deceit, they let go of each other. With this fresh start for both of them, there is a chance they will get together. I was surprised that he got stabbed by the illegitimate child of gramps but then again KPJ pissed off a lot of people. I'm glad he told NMH he was going to the rooftop. She saved him again and he got to start over. He got his revenge on JMR and it was satisfying. 

     

    NMH: I'm glad she started over and that her dad had sincerely apologized to her. She survived that mess of a family and living her life as before but stronger and matured this time. JEC apologized to her for bringing her in this mess and I'm proud that he did that. I glad she told JEC that she will keep him in her heart as the boy she saved and as well the man who saved her life. I'm glad she saved him again on the rooftop and also sent him those application to start over again because she knows he has potential in running the company. I wanted a scene with both of them again but this is for the best. This is the first drama that I'm happy that OTP acted as adults and continued with their lives with or without love.

     

    Gramps: he ended up alone and the only one who cared for him genuinely at the end was Ms.Han. The look on his face when the entire Jang family was arrested after the judge gave them their sentences was priceless. He realised what he created and done for the first time. I'm glad he listened to JEC regarding the company management. His company lives on and JEC donated 4 billion dollars to society without gramps permission lol. Some things don't change hahaha. 

     

    Uncle: he got a 7 years jail time and I couldn't be happier. At least JEC didn't donation his assets lol. 

     

    Cousin: got a one year sentence for instigating suicide. I hope he learned his lesson and doesn't do anything stupid or mess around with JEC again. 

     

    JBC: he finally grow up a little. Willing to let go NMH and making amends. JEC and his relationship was toxic from the beginning but I'm glad he acknowledged what his mother did to KPJs family and his father as well. Like he told his mother, he can't afford to snap until she comes to her senses. I'm surprised that he did not abandon his mom, she doesn't care for him at all. I felt sorry for him the moment he started to cry in front of gramps. I guess that's when he realised and admitted for real he is not gramps grandson. At least he has YSW and his son to fall back to. 

     

    JMR: I thought KPJ being JEC didn't affect her at all, but man JEC broke her down completely. She is obsessed with him to the point she though JEC was her late husband. She is obsessed with him to the point where she thought committing suicide along with JEC and being carried in coffins together. The fact that she tried to drink poison in front of them was crazy. I'm glad that JBC brought that gun to the room. Boy she sent chills to my bones. She is lunatic and pure madness. I can't believe she murdered her husband when he told her he is leaving and also decided to get rid of his real family completely. The look of JEC and JBC hearing from her mouth that she killed JSM was priceless. I'm glad JBC told JEC to get out of the room.This is the woman who told the media that her son is not a JANG and JEC is the real grandson. Her son was just a tool at the end. Im glad he didnt inherit her madness lol. I think JBCs sister is also JECs half sister considering the fact the writer didn't mention anything regarding her. 

     

    Thanks chingus for the recaps, analysis, and clips as always. I'm going to miss this show dearly. Also thanks to actors, actresses, staffs, directors and writer for this masterpiece revenge drama. This couldn't happen without u all. No offence but other writers should take a lesson from this wonderful drama on how to get revenge properly done lol.

I don't think he expected to love NMH - not part of his plan.  He hurt and used her, yet she still loves him. (She is much tougher than we thought - says he will have to pay a price for his sins but will wait for him because she sympathizes with him).  That is really the only goodness he has in his life ( and if you ask me, doesn't deserve - no matter how pained and macho sexy he is - he betrayed her).  But there you have it. Everyone loves this couple and wants them to live happity dappity ever after. Not sure that will happen. We will see.   

    So true. Like u said, KPJ has only lived for revenge and nothing else. Wearing a mask and lying to himself for the last 20 years.That's why I'm worried what is going to happen after his revenge is done. He has no home, no real friends except YG, no family and no purpose to live. I hope the writer surprises us with the ending.

    About NMH, I know he screwed up big time, but if she gives him a chance, I want him to earn it and work for it. And if he does not end up with NMH, I want him to have peace with himself.

    I have a feeling that all 3 had a hand in JSMs death. I'm looking forward to JEC teaching them a lesson they won't forget in their lives. JMR just digged her own graveyard by talking to the press lol. How stupid can she be when gramps filed a lawsuit regarding the inheritance. It is only a matter of time before the reporters start digging on their own :crazy:. I'm so going to enjoy the Jang family destroying themselves lol. And why is uncle out? I thought he will serving some jail time<_<.

    Yep it is something he will do. JEC always has a solution to their tactics so it will be fine. Man I can't wait for tomorrow.

    What i always like abouth JEC's character is his composure.  In a tense moment or when his cornered he was often composed never agitated sometimes i notice a subtle smile on his lips as if saying ' ahah i know what you doing, sorry but i have covered that'. And i think Jang Hyuk played that well. I think those of you who think JEC will go to jail have little confidence in him. Don't you think JEC would have address every possible outcome. Remember when he handed Woo the 10 yr plan for Cheong A, It would be ridiculous for him to fail now, going to jail would jeopardize what he has come so far for. 

     

    As for the NMH and JEC, i don't think they will be sailing off into the sunset. NMH will go into politics as she planned. JEC will leave Cheong A after he has set the ground work and hand it over to a capable leader.

I'm one of those who though JEC will do some jail time. I know JEC is smart but i was worried cuz I remembered when the slush fund management was given to JMR from JYCs mom, JEC was the witness lawyer and he signed the paper. Is he liable? Also can someone kindly explain to me how this slush fund thing work when it comes to funding presidential candidate? I don't understand lol. Thanks. Also I agree with u regarding NMH and JEC relationship. I'm happy if JEC is happy with or without her. That's all that matters. :wub:

    i think it will be all 4. hahaha JBC goes on a rampage.  It has something to do with the lawsuit to nullify the inheritance that grandpa had bestowed in advance to JBC. JEC wants JMR to give up her shares of the company and leave. If the lawsuit is brought to court the public will find out that JBC isn't a Jang lineage which JMR wants to avoid at all cost. I believe the old witch will be stubborn and not give up her shares. This will leave JEC with no choice but to file the lawsuit. Well its kind of pathetic ending for JBC. 

    Hahaha that was really funny. JEC really knows how to put JMR and gramps in their places lol. I am laughting at every scene theses morons trying to outsmart JEC but he has a perfect answer to their questions. This was another one; when uncle got arrested. JEC told  gramps straight on his face that he sent uncle to jail for tax evasion and he should hire a good lawyer for his son lol. The look on gramps was priceless hahaha. 

    I agree with u. JBC will go on a rampage hahaha. JEC clearly warned her but it seems like they are going to learn their lessons the hard way. The public and media will be reading the worst scandal in history lol.

    I'm still laughing at the scene where uncle thinks he won the vote for the chairman position. The way he asked his father and sister in law ridiculously if they gave money to buy shares and the latter, half of her shares to KPJ was priceless lol. 

     

    The scene where KPJ is always alone in his room, I feel like it is foreshadowing. I don't know how to explain this but I'm not liking the look on his face. He is looking more tired and dead inside. I hope he does not try to commit suicide after he pays for his crime. Is it just me or I'm freaking out for nothing? What do u chingus think?

    KPJ will probably get a lighter sentence because he will be the one to hand the evidence to the prosecution. JMR and JYCs mom were the ones who are running the foundation whereas KPJ was the witness. His signature is on the papers. Gramps owns the slush funds and also he bought shares under different names which only KPJ knows. Gramps is screwed if public finds out. What else? The judge will look back to his previous records as well. I hope at least he doesn't loss his law licence. Also regarding his name change, I hope KPJ has evidences that JMR, Gramps, Uncle, driver OH tried to kill him or frame for murder because taking someone else's name is fraud by law. The media will play a big part in this. While JMR can't be charged for the crime of JKC, public will remember it especially when they found out where the body was buried.:angry:

    Finally done with eng subs. Man this was amazing as usual. For chingus who don't want spoilers, DO NOT READ

     

    Thoughts on ep 21:

     

    1. JMR reaction, man I was expecting her to faint but this was better. She had the nerve to call KPJ a coward for letting his brother drown. Strangling her was nothing compared to what he is planning to do to her at the end. KPJ better had recorded her confession regarding his family's murder. This woman is ashamed of sleeping with driver OH. That is the one thing that got her on her knees. Wait until JBC finds out that she killed his bio father.The nerve she has to say that she didn't do anything wrong.:angry: also say What? u don't like prison clothes. This woman, her first thought after she heard she is going to prison hahaha. Like KPJ said she is a piece of work.

     

    2. Uncle knew about JEC and JKCs existence. I can't believe that gramps and uncle knew about the kids and they let JMR deal with them without getting their hands dirty. This family is one messed up. By the way, what was the lack of reaction regarding KPJs identity? Is it just me?

     

    3. JSM and JMR were married for real it seems and JSM knew about JBC not being his son but was willing to raise him. 

     

    4. KPJ is planning to give power to the committee, that way the JANGs will have less power over the company. This is good strategy. This way when the Jangs are arrested, the company won't be damaged that much I hope.

     

    5. Pure blood my richard simmons, what are u guys, Some vampire clan????. Can not believe these morons, Gramps and uncle are delusional. For the first time in his life, gramps got his hands dirty and what he came up with: kill his fake grandson and make his real grandson take the fall:crazy:. I have no words.

     

    6. JBC finds out the real reason why KPJ stayed with them for the last 20years. Let's see what he does after he wakes up from this attempted murder.

     

    Thoughts for ep 22:

     

    1. Hahaha KPJ put gramps in his place again. KPJ told him he does not need the JANG name to get the chairman position and also to never touch his preys again. Also told him to admit that out of his grandsons, he is the best lol. He added attempted murder and manipulation of the law due to that will that gramps got for JBC to his list of crimes. Boy the look on gramps face was priceless lol.

     

    2. KPJ told straight to JMRs face that he knows that her and uncle are planning to get rid of him and gramps. The look on her face was awesome. Her tactics are becoming less harm  and she really should give KPJ what he wants when he is asking nicely because she is getting on his nerves. She should know by now that he is not one to mess with. KPJ really pitied JBC and he told JMR that her son is laying there because of her. I got scared when KPJ touched the oxygen mask, it is like a parallel to gramps and JSM. 

     

    3. The Jang family's faces when they found out that KPJ ripped them off regarding the shares of Cheong A bio Hahaha. Uncle is like: Dad, did u allow him to buy shares with the money that  u got from the bank?  Also Sister in law, did u give him half of ur company's shares? B) Daebak. 

     

     4. Finally the divorce happened. NMH won the lawsuit.

     

    5. Uncle got sent to prison. This guy was thinking that he was going home soon lol. Gramps just got a straight answer from his grandson. Get ur son a good attorney hahaha. Gramps told the committee that the Jangs are not allowed to participate with the voting. He just did KPJ a big favor lol. KPJ told him to vote for him or else he is going to public regarding his little dirty secret. The old man run out of energy hahaha.

     

    6. KPJ will be cleaning up the company before he goes to the prosecution office to testify.  He prepared 10 year plan for the company. 

     

    7. NMHs dad woke up and this means trouble and the end for the Jangs.
