  1. The kiss was just as wonderful as I thought it would be when these two were first cast! Now that's what I'm here for, shallow as it is lol. My favs kissing on screen.

On a more plot relevant note: I'm more convinced than ever that the parents are lying about the kidnapping to Seung Yeon, and Young Joon really does know exactly what happened. For sure all 3 of them were taken, by Seung Yeon and Mi So's comments about there being a third person now I'm more sure of it. And it seems more likely now that Seung Yeon got away earlier than Mi So and his little brother. He might have ditched them entirely, or more likely Young Joon did something self sacrificing to get him away. I wonder if the guilt of that is why he doesn't remember anything anymore and his brain concocted lies about his little brother bullying him and being at fault to protect himself from that guilt. And I bet that Young Joon on his own decided to pretend he didn't remember and his parents went along with it not knowing that he really does still remember. The question now is why? Why did they choose to lie even now? Did they think it would be better than the mental break Seung Yeon would likely have if he realized what happened? Because there's no way the mom just forgot which son was sensitive to cold, and which wasn't and what he was wearing. But she slipped up due to her emotional state when talking to Mi So.

And all this contributes to Young Joon being maladjusted. He needed help and counseling and a lot of things as a traumatized child and his parents didn't get it for him because they were upholding this lie while also thinking that he was okay and didn't remember anything.

ALSO wondering if the lady who kidnapped them was related to the father and that's why the mom is not his biggest fan. I'm hesitant to say that because the show plays off her and Young Joon making fun of him and brushing him off as a joke, but I won't count that out yet.

Can't wait for Mi So to officially quit and find out what she wants to do with her life and what she likes and enjoys. And if she happens to go back to work in a higher position on par with her boyfriend then everyone wins! Whatever she chooses, she'll have her man by her side. And she doesn't have to stay as his secretary for them to be at each other's side and they both know that now ^^

  2. Dramaland has finally pulled me back in this week with 2 good drama premieres back to back! This and Are You Human Too are soooo good. I was surprised by how much of a good time I had watching this, it wasn't just super funny but there was a surprising amount of depth there. How crazy is it that the first time they had a real conversation and she aired her grievances was one time 9 years ago and the second time was over text messages. It never occurred to him to worry about her taking on more than she wanted to or could and encouraging her to speak up, and it never occurred to her to try speaking up and not take on so much. Just a lot revealed in one angry text conversation. And the set up to her sending him the hearts flew over my head until it happened haha. Just really good all around.

Park Min Young and Park Seo Joon are KILLING it!

  3. I'm sad we don't have any Yul or JA in the preview :( I really have been looking forward to them the most the past 3 weeks or so. I'm definitely gonna enjoy Cutter making even more of a jerk out of himself and finally losing that's for sure. And I'm looking forward to CW becoming even *more* attentive of YY because they don't have as much time together.

  4. I am glad that Yul learned the entire situation and decided to trust her again and give her a break because ultimately she's not just a colleague he trust but as CW said she's someone he genuinely likes and trusts. His eye wasn't wrong when he saw her and saw potential and an ally. They made me really sad this week but we brought it back at the end there. Someone recognizing that she's not okay that actually has the power to help her is really good too. Even though her friends, YY especially, know she's having a rough time there's not much they could do to help her besides be by her side even while she feels like she's drowning. Yul comforting her in the break room was really sweet, nicely shot, and you could see the sadness in his eyes and the sadness but also relief in hers. Really well acted by both actors. I do wish we got to see more of GW's mindset and process of deciding to become a driver and drop out because he clearly is doing this because he wants to support his mom and the family. I would've liked that more than office politics but it is what it is and though it would've been nice to get more, I do like what we did get. And I'll be really happy for JA to be able to go to work with her own name, if she chooses. Idk how they'll explain that but I wish them luck. I found their stuff more compelling this week, even though it was just as angsty it feels more real than corporate bullcrap yknow? Maybe that's just me.

For me the real MVPs this week were the Video Department team. Them paying Cutter back in coins was classic I love them so much and their commitment to their department and team. I wonder who Cutters insiders are... and I like YY's resolution to do what she needs to for the department. It's in line with what we've seen from her. I'm sad CW has moved out :( i like cohabitation stuff and now they won't even see each other at work and Bong will definitely be keeping her super busy (and making her miserable tbh). I'm not sure if he's supposed to be the ultimate villain or...? And BN seems to be the real brains of the takeover tbh, all the plans are hers. How is Cutter going to be handled, and her? Any thoughts?

Honestly, I think you give BN too much credit and justification for her attitude. Her father is a capable man; He married and started a family. He worked over the years to provide for his family BEFORE his daughter was old enough to get a job.

These are all assumptions you're making. We actually don't know where her mother is, if she was ever in the picture and married to her dad, how early BN started to work and how capable her father was of taking care of them both (or helping to contribute to the 3 of them living if her mom was around and was working). Maybe he only started to struggle recently and BN really just sees him as a burden and has her whole life and uses him as an excuse. Maybe she's had to work to support them for a lot of her life. Neither of us know and that stuff isn't really my point it's what's happening now in the show because we don't know anything besides the character stuff the drama gave us.

Her dad gets screwed over, BN works very hard and gives him part of her paycheck now so he can make rent, she sees him as her responsibility and that it's hard, and that's shown in the show to be the final reason she decides to work with Cutter on his plan. Cutter deliberately set up a scenario where he would look like the reliable  boss who understands her circumstances, helped defend her disabled father, and will carry her to the top to get her to agree to the plan. Cutter is a frustrating boss to work with for BN. It's hard for them to get new job postings even if they do request one because their boss is crazy pants (at least it was for YY and idk if it's that hard for everyone or just her because of the scandal. Maybe it would be a lot easier for BN to leave or maybe it's impossible). These are all true along with BN not being a nice person and her having done an unforgivable thing, having a very bad attitude, being extremely self interested and selfish, and is jealous of YY having a good boss now even though they suffered together for years with bad bosses. I'm not trying to justify her attitude, but the show is trying to show why she's like that so she seems more human and real. Even if we know why it doesn't justify anything  or excuse her actions. At least that's the way I see it.

She never quite treated YY right and that made it easier for her to betray her. I don't think it's fair to dislike her for our own assumptions and try and make her out to have turned on YY on a whim for no reason or pretend her circumstances aren't bad just because she's horrible. Because if we do that then we're treating her like a cardboard cut out "villain" of dramas (like Cutter actually lol) who are just mean and evil for no reason. But the show isn't trying to do that with BN.  The women being more varied and not just tv tropes is actually part of why I like the show! We both don't like her, there are a lot of reasons to not like her, and nothing she'd doing is justified I agree with you. And I agree with you that she's doing things her dad would be ashamed of and he wouldn't want her money knowing it came like this. She wants to live more comfortably and that's definitely part of the reason but it's not *only* social climbing intentions.

Whether that means she's gonna get redeemed ( i hope not I'm crossing my fingers she isn't) or that she genuinely feels bad for her actions after she gets cut off from her friends and ends up miserable who knows. But it won't be just her having bad things happen and her screaming her anger to the sky like what will definitely happen with Cutter. Because I don't think that's what the writer is trying to do. So we gotta prepare for all that by talking about BN honestly so we can try and figure it out together ^_^. Because if redemption is around the corner we all need each other as support and we can't be blindsided by it lol. I won't make it through that without you guys.

Who wants to form a support group for just in case BN gets redeemed....I won't be able to handle that alone...

I have to say, I can't understand her actions at all. She has a father who is deaf, yet he's able to make a living.

The show actually made a point of saying that he's not making enough of a living. Bo Na is helping to pay his rent with her own money because he's presumably being screwed over by his landlords (this happens a lot to disabled people who can't defend themselves properly) and it's to the point where he might have to move back in with her if it continues. He's not disabled to the point where she literally has to stay at home to take care of him and can't because of company politics, which is what I think you're trying to say, but I want us to be honest about how hard of a time she's having.

For all intents and purposes she has a crappy life. She works a crap job with a crap boss that keeps her from having an actual social life (like missing her dads birthday dinner) and has a horrible attitude probably born from a life of struggling and she's bitter that her friend who used to be suffering alongside her is now in a better position and might usurp her and her boss from moving up to the position she wants. It's a case of a person who probably wasn't that nice to begin with and is super self interested being in a bad situation so it's easy for her to turn on her "friend" and that's not a good thing *but* it's for sure a bad situation and her dad being disabled and her having to help take care of him (and thinking Cutter would support her) did impact her decision. The show goes out of it's way to show that instead of just having her decide randomly to turn on YY.

  7. I already commented on how I think it'll go next week for our main couple but I am super worried/interesting in what's going to happen with Jung Ae and Yul. I have no idea how he'll react. This drama has this message about trust, giving it out and it being betrayed, etc. And he trusted her to be the one person by his side. Like the guys in the office (who complains about their boss trying to actually do work? First they complained about him being lazy and now they complain that he wants their division to branch out and succeed. That really made me mad) said he started to genuinely try and work after she started being his assistant. Having someone support him and his vision and also help him through personal struggle and listen to him was important. And the show did an amazing job showing him growing into a more focused version of himself and showing how she fit into his life and him into hers. She's important to him and honestly he's important to her too now.

So how badly will he take it that her identity is a lie? Will he assume she wants something from him and think that all the good things she's done were also a lie? Will he have trouble coming to terms with the fact that his MVP and support system was lying about who she is, and how quickly will he understand why she lied? What will she say and how will she feel about her son pulling away so much from her and now this new person she let into her life probably pushing her away and rejecting her too? And she feels that she hasn't been focusing on GW because of work so will she just accept that Yul doesn't want her around anymore and quit? I'm super excited and scared for that next week and I'm sure however it's handled will be compelling. If he immediately understands it'll be heartwarming and if there's a big blowup it'll be heartbreaking. Or we'll fall right in the middle and get both feelings at once.

I kind of can't believe this is my favorite show in kdrama land right now but it's the perfect mix of modern kdrama and old school kdrama rom com. It just makes me happy to watch and it's just what I needed. And the soundtrack is really nice too, thank you for posting my favorite song from the OST @triplem !

The only thing that I am worried is how YY will counter-attack the rapid assumptions made about her after the exposure. I hope the writer will succumb to the same method as the time when YY counter-attack NCW's ex..that scene was really daebak!! I hope in next week's episode, we will see the same dynamic...

I agree with it not being a scandal that will negatively impact CW all that much, it's more like people will side eye him for dating his assistant since he's in a higher position of power. The real person who's gonna be affect is YY, you see it at the end of the episode people are assuming she seduced her boss *again* and is some seductress social climber/ gold digger/ other horrible things. In fact people will less likely say things like CW is skeevy for going after his assistant because of the past actions they think she did; trying to seduce her married boss.

And I bet money that the goal is to pile as much richard simmons onto YY as possible and maker her life miserable and Cutter and BN assume that eventually CW will cut her off to save his own skin since they're still operating under the assumption that his do-gooder attitude and desire to clean out the scum of the earth from the company is some kind of image booster for him and he's self interested at the core. You always get that sense from Cutter especially, you know he doesn't think CW is a good person and thinks he'll cut YY off, removing his major positive relationship in the company while also making himself look like he only cares about himself in the process. A double hit to his reputation; or so he thinks.

YY and CW's reaction to this next week will surprise him I'm sure of it and it'll derail his plans a bit. He's still in the dog house for the TV defect problem so he's going to try more schemes next week and probably thinks CW will sit by and let him do it but he's got another thing coming.
