Still waiting for Episode 29 to sub
Am I the only one who is frustrated with Yoon Se Ah? She's stunningly beautiful and I actually like whenever she shows up on screen (contrary to most people here, I'm sure), but...her character is psycho and honestly her acting chops seem pretty limited at some point. Ugh -
Ugh I had to read through all these spoilers because the Viki subbing has been slower than usual for the past 2 weeks.
Given the number of Korean dramas I have seen, Na Bi...yeah come on, she is definitely faking it. Faking amnesia is something so commonly used in these dramas. However I agree with awsparkle that this will be Na Bi's chance to deliver the best performance of her career, although it is not onscreen. -

She also asked if they had contacted NB and they told they had but NB said that they had broke up and she was in the middle of filming so she would be unable to come.
At the same time SA was pregnant and married to WJ but he was away and she couldn't reach him. So she went to the TV studio to find NB who didn't know who she was and thought she wanted an autograph but before she could give it to her the new boyfriend walked up and gave NB a kissed and they walked away. SA was so shocked she ended up having a miscarriage.
NB on the other hand was his I think English student and was attracted to him because he was kind and attentive, but once they started to date he became to possessive so NB broke it off, he then started to stalk NB so she tried to hide from him and wouldn't take his calls which of course made matters worse. They showed a scene where he called her assistant because she wouldn't answer her phone, NB took the call and told him to stop or she would report him to the police. I think that was the call that pushed him over the edge.
NB did admit to SA that she could have been kinder and maybe handled things better, -

I also wanted to add that I hope we start to learn more about exactly what happened between Na Bi and Sang Hyun, and perhaps more details surrounding why Seol Ah is convinced Na Bi caused him to "commit suicide" (aside from the fact that Seol Ah's kind of crazy herself). I feel the writers have been focusing the heat on Roy and the whole hiding from his family thing, and we kind of need to see a bit more of this other buried conflict.
I also keep forgetting that this drama is supposedly 50 episodes? Guess the writers have a long run. -
I've never cared for what she wears, but I'm a huge fan of Yoon Eun Hye and it blows my mind how she can rock anything and look stunning. I never knew for so many of her dramas that she was THIS decked out in designer brands. "My Fair Lady" was an obvious one, but for the likes of "Lie To Me", I'm pretty surprised. She has top notch stylists.

I don't see anyone could never repeat a same head-to-toe outfit, unless they were a celebrity or someone who has a stylist. I guess with girls it's harder to say since they have bags to match and such.
Personally I never wear the same entire outfit within 1 week and don't wear the same outfit two days in a row, but I definitely repeat outfits a lot. -
Dang, that sucks that we won't be able to see an Ep 22 this week then. The good stuff is just starting, too.

Damn it, I came in here and Episode 20 was spoiled for me (I'm still waiting for the Viki subs). Oh well, by the laws of Asian dramas...I guess I shouldn't be too surprised with what was spoiled.
Anyways, I wanted to say that Yum Jung Ah has impressed me in Episode 19. Honestly since the beginning, I didn't think this lady was a good actress. I always felt that she had this "stupid" and "ditzy" look on her face all the time, but I kept reading in and out of this thread how great of an actress she is. Now I'm guessing...she just may be that good? Since Na Bi is supposed to be kind of "dumb"....I guess Jung Ah nails it right down to the tee? Her crying in Episode 19 is right on cue, as if I could snap my fingers as a director and BAM, she will start sobbing.
Seol Ah....same 'ol with her but I will say that I was happy to see Jeon Yi get her richard simmons whooped by Na Bi in Episode 19....hopefully the same will happen with Seol Ah soon. Haha. I am glad though that not everything is going great for Seol Ah now...like with how Woo Jae walked out on the business trip and how Moon Sun (the cousin) got mad at her for what she made her do to the Meji Bean family. -
I've loved the pink Gatsby wax for years, but the stuff is impossible to wash out. Even shampooing twice, there's still that waxy feel to the hair. Apparently only Gatsby's own wax shampoo can wash the stuff out.
My barber said in the long run, the stuff will be bad for your hair and scalp because chances are, most guys don't thoroughly remove the product from their hair. I met a guy this summer who used the grey Gatsby wax and NEVER washes it out of his hair.
I personally never experienced a difference between most of the waxes (exception is the green one, which really has zero hold) despite their different claims. Strange.
But if you're someone who kinda spikes his hair a bit, the pink is definitely your go-to. -

Anyways, yeah like in my last commentary, I still really don't get why Na Bi doesn't bring up Seol Ah to her family, namely her mom and in-laws, who all still think Seol Ah is a good person. I'm waiting for Seol Ah to get her richard simmons whooped somewhere down the line.
And I was pretty thrown off by the end of Episode 18....this one's gonna throw the drama into another direction now. I commend the writers for their work thus far though because I saw "My Love, Butterfly Lady" going downhill a few episodes ago. But please make Na Bi smarter already...it astounds me how she doesn't say some things some times. -

I've been watching this although the plot frustrates me with how dumb and slow some things are progressing. I'm gonna rant a bit here. I don't know how it takes 14 episodes for Nam Bi to finally realize, "Oh richard simmons...Woo Jae is the marketing manager of World?" I know it's all for the drama's sake, but stuff like this really gets to me. Anyone would've been able to tell he wasn't just a "normal employee"...but...anyways
Yoon Se Ah's character (BTW I love how the character name is so close to her actual name) has been bugging me too. Thank God she's showed her true colors now, but I really didn't like how she'd sweet talk on the phone to Na Bi then instantly change her face and drop some dramatic one liner about how Na Bi will never make a comeback, all the while making some evil smirk on her face. And one other thing that's bugged me - why is she always just standing in that corner of the department store with her phone in her hand? Isn't a representative supposed to have an actual office..like a desk, chair, phone set, etc.?
Also if Woo Jae is a marketing manager (which is a pretty high position), how is he able to run around all day (ex. helping Na Bi to the hospital) among other things? Don't these people have meetings and presentations to take care of? Ugh! -

I've found that tea tree oil doesn't work too well for me either. I used The Body Shop's tea tree facial line many years ago and it didn't do too much for my skin (no visible improvement). I tried the night serum I believe it was 2 years ago and had an allergic reaction to it, so...it really depends on your skin. I think with any natural stuff (natural oils, extracts, etc) there's actually a bigger risk of an adverse reaction, so use with caution. Tea tree oil in general also stung my eyes a lot...I had used an organic tea tree oil shampoo that my mom just stuck in my shower and even with rinsing, it always stung my eyes. =/

For those who can not understand, I would just summarize key parts he was talking of. The show is called Live TV General Hospital, subject is about anti-aging. The dermatologist is basically saying that women feel aging around 20s, but their body aging on average starts or before at age 25. Naturally random part of your body's skin to become no good as you age. He also mention skin aging increases due to the environment. The environment he talks of is expose to UV ray. The body that you expose to UV ray take several damage causing skin aging.
I don't know if you guys know this, but UV ray is not just limited to sun. Some of the CFL bulbs we use for light or fluorescent lights at office/school/public buildings, and etc. all have UV ray. As for the sunscreen, I think you should consider using sunblock in combination of using daily skincare product at night. Using sunscreen does not help your skin aging from UV ray. Back then it did wonders of just covering face like foundation and whitening skin. Now, it has spf for sun protection, wrinkle prevention, and skin whitening. This BB cream is great if you are going to use with either sunblock or sunscreen since it has egf. -
If you're not seeing any adverse effects such as redness, irritation, or break outs, then I'd say you should be okay. Granted what others have said about not letting your skin naturally regenerate is true, but if the My Beauty Diary masks instruct you to use daily, then what it means is that their masks are safe for daily use (you don't have to use them daily, obviously).
Some masks aren't good for daily use (since some are irritating with high alcohol levels, such as Kose's Cosmeport line). So I think just read the instructions.
I feel the only downside to you using masks daily is that masks (whether bought in bulk or not) are pricey...so you're just using your masks up a lot quicker.
Some people have sworn by using masks daily (ex. Taiwanese model 隋棠), so hey - you never know.

I mainly use Tabasco (original) on everything, but I sometimes use some Chinese ma la or chili sauces. I use Saracha on occassion depending on the food.

I personally have always found it odd. I would never grow hair out that long (I technically am unable to since my hair grows into an afro like form when it gets long...it doesn't grow downwards or anything like traditional long hair).
However depending on face shape and overall demeanor, some guys can pull it off.
The best I've seen with the ponytail look (but not really a ponytail) was Lee Wei's slicked back bun in "Hi My Sweetheart." He actually pulled off the look pretty well, but again - it comes down to your looks.

I must say the ending was disappointing to me. It bothers me how Tae Yang and Tae In were never told of how Kang Sun was responsible for the death of their grandmother. Also, I don't get how Kang Sun pretty much lost her mind....then one day out of the blue calls Jin Shim by her name, and I presume...suddenly sees her as a daughter and not as a fake "Ga On." But then again, I get how the writers were probably given a ton of crap by viewers for focusing too much on Kang Sun and her craziness, so they decided to just write her off in an easy way.
I also overall wasn't really happy with they way Jin Shim's character developed. She kept going back to Kang Sun no matter what...it was an abusive relationship and she couldn't get out of it. She's should've just been like Im Beom and just kicked Kang Sun to the curb...but I guess the writers wanted Jin Shim to hang on to Kang Sun until she "woke up" from her delusional world. In terms of Wang Ji Hye, I think she did a decent job this time around for her first leading role, but I personally think she can do much better - the role of Jin Shim just slowly went downhill, so I look forward to seeing her as another lead in the near future.
Ji Chang Wook pretty much held his own the entire time and I'm also really looking forward to seeing more of his works. And I must mention, as crazy as she was, Hwang Shin Hye did an amazing job as Kang Sun...I was pretty convinced the entire time that this woman was seriously mentally unstable.
Overall I think this drama was alright...it had a lot of potential but I think the way the story took a turn really ended up killing that potential...and a number of plot holes were left unfilled.

Ugh, another repeat of last week. I know we have to be patient with subs, but up until last week, the two episodes a week would always be done exactly a day after they aired. The drama is about to hit its peak, and I'm on pins and needles (I had to bum rush this page and last page to hopefully not see any spoilers. The screencaps are exciting enough). I don't know what's up the subbers, but I hope we are able to see Ep 17 and 18 soon. Aigoo

I was wondering why Episode 16 was taking so long to go online (Episode 15 took longer than usual, too). I don't understand how copyright issues could arise though, because DramaFever in particular notes that they work directly with the distribution company of the dramas on their websites. Hmm okay well I hope Episode 16 comes on Monday and that future episodes do not run into issues like this!
Also...20 episodes for this drama? Uh doesn't sound realistic to me, given how complicated things are getting. If the writers were to sum everything up within 4 more episodes, I think it'd be way too rushed, especially given how Tae Yang has a long way to success. 24 episodes sounds more realistic, but I guess we'll just see.
I also feel that this drama is quite underrated...I just don't see as much hype going on about it Some viewers seem to not like Wang Ji Hye's character this time around, saying that her acting isn't on par with her preceding roles. I do get frustrated with Jin Shim/"Ga On" at times and how restricted her expressions are, but I feel we're not yet at the peak of Wang Ji Hye's performance potential for her character. Ji Chang Wook, on the other hand, has been praised a lot by viewers and I really agree with it all - his performance in that scene where he confronts Jin Shim/"Ga On" after rushing out from the hospital was at a A-game level.
Can't wait for Episode 16! HURRYYYYY

I tried their whitening milky lotion but the stuff seems too rich for me. Also, I've found if you try apply any product after the milky lotion, the milky lotion will ball up and roll off a bit.
Also, the whitening didn't seem to have any effect.I've heard good things about the whitening essence, though.

I'm jumping right in here without reading any comments but having skimmed the OP.
I've heard this particular phrase for YEARS too, and given that this forum is dedicated to Korean entertainment, I'm sure everyone in here has heard this phrase at some point in their Korean fandom.
I really say it's a mixed bag, like with any Asian ethnicity. You'll have those girls who are naturally blessed, and those who've been blessed....by the work of a surgeon or multiple surgeons. However it's no secret that in Korean society, the outer appearance is absolutely critical in all aspects of life, and many Korean believe that luck, success, and fate can be attributed to good looks. Because of this, it wouldn't surprise me that a lot of Korean girls would go get some work done here and there. I personally know a handful of Korean girls who've had their eyelids done and some who've had some nose work done. However, to respond to the OP, I don't think it's fair to say "most" of the pretty girls are fake because we never know who has had work done and who hasn't. To speak for celebrities, if pictures tell enough, okay - but at the end of the day, I think everyone to some extent will always envy or look up to someone who is physically attractive (regardless of whether the person has had work done or not). I think the real deal here is for the person who is admiring to know that everyone wants to look their best - some resort to cosmetic surgery, some depend on a lot of makeup and tricks. You can do whatever you want to make yourself look better, but I don't think it's right to slam others for what they have done in their same attempts to be more attractive. I think also at the end of the day, there is also this quote to bear in mind: "There are no ugly women, only lazy ones."
