  2. Lee Jong Seok and Park Shin Hye Reunite at the 2015 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards

    maya.jpg

The awards season seems to have expanded in scope, or else I simply never paid much attention to this particular award until now when my babies are being feted together. Hallyu stars Lee Jong Seok, Park Shin Hye, Jeon Ji Hyun, IU, and JYJ were all gathered at the National Theater of Korea this week to receive Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards. Lee Jong Seok and Park Shin Hye received the Prime Minister’s Award for acting while IU and JYJ took home the same award for music. Very noticeably pregnant and glowing Jeon Ji Hyun won the President’s Award for her role in spreading Korean culture and arts, most notably in recent years with runaway hit K-drama You From Another Star and box office topping period flick Assassination. All the attendees looked so beautiful and appropriately stylish at the awards, with JYJ showcasing three different looks. I super love it!

Article: "Bangs are my strength"... Park Shin Hye's shy forehead exposure

    Source: Dispatch via Nate

    1. [+422, -55] Definitely a natural beauty. I like how she looks with her forehead exposed like that but her hair style doesn't seem to suit her.

    2. [+360, -95] She lost a lot of weight. Find strength, Shin Hye-yang... You can tell how hard she worked to lose the weight when you see her legs. They weren't the type of legs where she could just throw on any skirt and make it work.

    3. [+281, -131] She suddenly looks like she's aged a bit ㅜㅜ

    4. [+64, -22] She's honestly not on the pretty side for an actress but she gets her talents overhyped because she used to be child actress

    5. [+27, -14] I'll take the bullets for you all and just say it: her legs are thick and short.

    6. [+27, -6] Her hair doesn't suit her at all. She looks fine with her bangs down but old with them up.. why is everyone always calling her a goddess all the time.

    7. [+19, -10] Doesn't match her hair pulled up like that

    8. [+17, -8] Face is natural but her legs are sculpted medically ㅜㅜ

“Descendants of the Sun” Sets Broadcasting Date

“Descendants of the Sun” starring Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki is slated to air in February 2016 as the follow-up drama to the current Wednesday-Thursday drama “The Merchant: Gaekju 2015.”

“Descendants of the Sun” is a 100 percent pre-production drama and is under the pressure of having to complete filming by the end of the year due to Chinese broadcasting regulatory policies. The “Descendants of the Sun” is determined to finish post-production work after the completion of filming to get the drama ready to air by first week of February. Since MBC and SBS still have not announced their lineup for the same time slot against “Descendants of the Sun,” fierce competition is anticipated.

Song Hye Kyo, Song Joong Ki and other key actors and crew members headed for Greece at the end of last month. Greece is the backdrop of the drama, the location where the troops are sent overseas. This is where the story begins as the two main characters Song Hye Kyo (Kang Mo Yeon) and Song Joong Ki (Yoo Shi Jin) meet fatefully.

“Descendants of the Sun” is a story of a young soldier and doctor pursuing love and dreams as strangers in a distant land. It’s a melodrama portraying the very essence of life. 23. Check out Park Shin-hye’s music playlist

    • Updated : October 26 2015

    (OSEN)

Leading hallyu star Park Shin-hye has posted a number of music recommendations since joining Instagram a year ago.

Following are the eight songs Park so far has publicly endorsed along with her comments, in reverse chronology.

    1. “The Good Old Days” by Tei
Park’s comment:“The more I listen to it, the more I like it. What a night full of fall. Good-night, everyone.”

“The Good Old Days” sings of loneliness, regret, terminated love and longing for the bygone sweet days.

    2. “Flower” by Lee Seung-hwan
Park‘s comment: “Today I will become a flower.”

“Flower” finishes off with lyrics, “after all your suns are set and gone, I’ll come to you without a word and become a flower. Upon the bed of grass where my love forever rests, I‘ll become a flower.”

    3. “Oversleep” by Time To Date
Park’s comment: “Pretty voice ... Your voice makes me feel good, lady.”

“Oversleep” is a light-beat narrative by a girl to her love, “I overslept again, after thinking about you all night last night. I could do this every day, if every day felt this happy.”

    4. “Campus Couple (with Rooftop Moonlight)” by Peppertones
Park’s comment: “Two days before the start of my final semester. Let’s go!”

“Campus Couple” is a funny ballad, with two contrasting verses. The first verse sings of shining young college lovebirds, picturesque against the spring sunshine and flowers. The second verse turns on them and wishes they would disappear out of sight, never come near and for rain and thunder to strike them.

    5. “Dream” by Priscilla Ahn
Park‘s comment: “’I had a dream. That I could fly from the highest swing. I had a dream’ ... I want to live this much.”

The lyrics of “Dream” are like a swan song of a grayed woman who recounts her life from youth up to imminent death, satisfied and happy for the life she has led.

    6. “From January to June” by Yoon Jong-shin
Park’s comment: “That Ichon-dong road~~ whenever I pass the streets the memories come afresh as if yesterday~~ Sigh, I should stop now.”

Another breakup song, the song reminisces of a past love that lasted from January to June: “Would she know my heart always fluttered on my way to pick her up? ... That Ichon-dong road, whenever I pass the streets, the memories come afresh as if yesterday.”

    7. “Hug Me” by Jung Joon-il
Park’s comment:“Warning: dangerous to listen to alone at night.”

“Hug Me” is a mournful love song for a distancing love. As the lyrics go, “The countless nights I resented you were living hell to me. Please don’t let go of me.”

    8. “Eat” by Zion.T
Park’s comment: “Since ‘One Last Night,’ Zion.T doesn‘t disappoint. Going to listen to this over and over on my way to Beijing. I want to be complimented, too.”

Zion.T says he will compliment those who don’t forget to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. He bids the listeners listen to his song as if it was a piece of chocolate or an apple, saying you should “eat this song when you are hungry.”
