Me : Did we watch the wrong drama by any chance? I feel like watching a different drama with different character in every episode.

LOL. Eclipses, this drama just made me and my mom a murderer. She never felt this way before. The ending succeeded in bringing some unexpected emotions. We're emotionally exhausted.
Anyway, can someone please do the roll call if SBS decided to do some miracle like epilogue that can do some justice to this drama?? Please?? *puppy eyes*

I CAN'T SLEEP!
I'm so sorry I need to rant ABOUT EPISODE 19 and get this out of my system before I sleep.
I thought that the writer can't get HS character more worse..... but she just proves me wrong in this episode. Though I do see a lot of time skip but I can totally see WS driven core (to protect what he has and to change the world for a better place so nobody will ever be as miserable as him) and that is why I understand most of his actions. HS though.... what is her core?? Survival? Love? Changing GJ? It seems like she keeps on changing it's so confusing. It's not only the fault of a rushed editing, but also the fault of how the writer seemed to want to portray her character as good natured but just makes her seem more like a hypocrite somehow. Sorry people, not only my feelings died on her (HS) but it also seems to get transported to a black hole I can't seem to find it anywhere. Everytime HS hurts WS my brain cells died, my head hurts, and I feel like hitting my own screen. Her good natured character is driving me nuts. She is actually seems like a super selfish person in this episode trying to save and understand everybody reasons but WS. WS is drawn to her because she is very understanding and she cares for him despite his ruthless nature. But she jinx it in this episode. No wonder WS gets so frustrated with her.
HS : I'm here. I will never change. I understand you. I trust you completely. I will never leave you. I love you.
Congratulations HS, you jinx everything you said there. You just become the heroine with the most contradiction between her words and actions in KDrama Land History ever. She said she will never change but she changed, all right. She said she understands him but she question GJ every decisions. She said she trusted him but she denied his explanation, thinks he is wrong somehow, and hates him or blames him for everything. Thinking that everything he did is just because he is changing and becoming more ruthless, without putting his condition and also his feelings into consideration (Did she even knows that he basically gets stabbed from everywhere? Did she even TRY to understand him? Seeing from his POV as king?). She said she won't leave him but she is the one who asked him to let her go and leave him first. BRAVO. You jinx everything when you leave him, honey. I understand though, you're too fragile just like a flower, and he is too hard just like a fortress. But you choose to leave when everything goes haywire? BIG NO NO. Where is your commitment, lady? That's just a coward coward way out. YOU JUST HURT YOURSELF AND HIM MORE. Where is the understanding, trusting, and not leaving part? I'm so angry with her I need to take a deep breath. I expect myself to be crying when watching HS leaves WS but, the only reaction I feel are upset, mad, angry, frustrated, SIGH.
The only time I cried is when WS cried. Kudos to LJG for bringing the tears in me.
Now we just have this lone wolf in the palace.. and everybody keeps on leaving him.. Sigh what's wrong with wolfs? Are they doomed to be lonely for the rest of their lives?
Are there even any wolf movie where the wolfie boy won't get saad. huhuhu
Dang, I know that he is only a fiction character but I really wanted to fly to goryeo to comfort him. ASAP.
Sorry for ranting. Now I just hope everything will gets better tomorrow. SIGH

JUST 1 HOUR TO GO UNTIL EPISODE 19, ARE YOU GUYS READY YET?
I think I'm ready, but at the same time I'm not
I don't know why but I feel so scared.. am I weird??
I'm a bundle of mess waiting for tonight episode. I'm feeling insecure throughout the day. I even dreamed about MLSHR yesterday night, which never ever happened before. I guess this drama affected me so much it started invading my unconscious world. I dreamed that Hae Soo wore her gorgeous fur dress from earlier episode, and Wang So wore his wolfy dress, and they lived as a normal person in a normal house, with Hae Soo cooking breakfast and Wang So hugging her from behind. Then suddenly their 8 y.o son came out from the bedroom, and asked daddy Wang So to go to the school with him because it's parents day today. The cute son didn't want mommy Hae Soo to come because he didn't want to be labeled as mommy boy. Hearing that Wang So cutely hit his own hands above his son's head, and said you have the best mommy in the world, thank goodness you didn't meet your grandmother. Then suddenly it jumped to Wang So, who wore his best dress, taking his son to the school. The son met his friends who got awestruck by Wang So, and said to the son "OMG YOUR MOMMY IS SO PRETTY.." the son is speechless while saying "but that's my daddy...." and I woke up. LOL I can never understand my own dream.

Ep 17-18 sped up the sequence of events in the original novel and C-BBJX. We have 2 more episodes to bring this epic love story to a close.
In the ep 19 preview, the sequence of events is jumbled in my opinion. My version for Ep 19-20 is as follows. Parts of Baek Ah and Woo Hee are not included as my concern is only So-Soo. Points 11-25 could be vastly different from the drama. I just need to get these thoughts out of my system.
1. GJ plots to get rid of Wook - with the help of YH and Won.
2. Wook is condemned to death for attempted treason.
3. Soo steps in to beg for Wook's life - possible that Wook's mother asked her for help and tells her the sequence of Wook's progression into the dark side. Given her personality, she risks her life to help Wook one last time - out of guilt, out of her loyalty to her late cousin, out of whatever residual feeling she has left for 8th. She succeeds in getting his life saved but causes a permanent rift in her relationship with So.
4. Wook reflects on the sequence of events and figures out that his sister has betrayed him for GJ. By then, Jung will have gotten wind of Soo's decision to leave with him.
5. So gets the late King's edict to betroth Soo to Jung. He refuses to acknowledge the edict. Jung shows the hairpin as proof of Soo's decision. The sight of his token of love to Soo hurts GJ deeply. Baek Ah realises the significance of Soo's request and is devastated.
6. Wook loses all hope in his life and family. He confronts GJ for a final show down - tells him the truth about the poisoning incident, YH's involvement and why he couldn't save Soo. He pulls everyone into the blackhole with him - if he has to suffer, GJ and YH will have to suffer along. Soo becomes the collateral damage in this confrontation.
7. GJ is devastated by Wook's confession and links her determination to save Wook as a sign of her love for Wook. He confronts Soo and she admits to her past relationship with Wook. GJ tells her that he doesn't want to see her anymore and she has the permission to leave the palace.
8. Soo leaves the palace and Songgak for good. Before she steps out of the gilded cage, she looks back with tears in her eyes and memories of the past flashing before her. Soo knows she will never see the palace again.
9. GJ looks from afar with tears streaming down his face. Memories of happier times flashing before him. WS is inconsolable but GJ soldiers on. He fulfils his promise to YH to give her an heir.
10. Time skip. Soo starts life anew with Jung in exile. A celebration of marriage is prohibited between them but Jung is happy to have Soo by his side and tries his best to make her happy. Soo misses So deeply and continues her writing every day.
11. GJ continues to consolidate his empire. He has spies in Jung's household. Jung is aware of it. GJ gets reports on Soo and Jung regularly.
12. Jung creates an illusion of intimacy between him and Soo for the spies to report back to GJ, mainly to rile GJ. GJ is devastated that Soo has finally moved on from him and orders that reports on Jung's household must not be presented to him from here on.
13. In the mean time, Soo's health continues to deteriorate. She knows her end is near. Asks Jung to help her to deliver a letter to GJ. She hopes to see him one last time.
14. Jung accedes her request. Notices her handwriting is too similar to GJ's. He puts her letter in another envelope with his handwriting on the envelope.
15. Letter reaches GJ. GJ doesn't read it.
16. Soo dolls herself up the best that she can. Deteriorates rapidly.
17. GJ dreams of Soo. His right arm where he was once wounded aches terribly.
18. Soo gives up hope that So will come to her. She asks Jung to cremate her right away after she dies and throw her ashes into the ocean/lake on a windy day. She wants to forget all of them. She asks him to let go of the past and live on fruitfully. Soo doesn't leave any last words for her beloved. She dies in Jung's arms. Soo finally leaves Goryeo behind. We see a solar eclipse transporting Soo back to modern time the moment she passes on.
19. Jimong sees the solar eclipse and sighs for the loss of his kindred spirit Soo. He knows she is gone.
20. Words finally reach GJ and Baek Ah that Soo has passed away. He is shocked beyond words. He scrambles for the unread letter. He finds it and opens it with trembling hands. He sees Soo's handwriting for the first time. Reads the letter while the audience weeps with him. All inconsolable. Ambulance and medics should be on standby at LJG's fan meeting.
21. GJ and Baek Ah arrive at Jung's residence. Fight ensues. Baek Ah stops them, asks them to let Soo leave in peace after being sandwiched between all the brothers for the past 10 years.
22. So enters Soo's room to find her belongings - the hairpin, the arrow, stacks of her writing...So breaks down once again. He knows she left with him etched in her heart. There was no room for anyone else. He was her eternal love, just like she is to him. She is completely his person, always and forever. Need more back up on ambulance and medics - many are suffering from excessive sobbing and heart aches.
23. So takes her ashes back to Songgak. Jimong tries to explain to GJ about Soo/Ha Jin - offends GJ and is banished. So and Baek Ah throws her ashes into the ocean or Dongji lake as per her wishes. GJ mulls on Soo's odd ways and concludes that he will find her one way or the other.
24. GJ lives for another 20+ years, misses Soo everyday. GJ tries to leave clues for the future Soo/Ha Jin. Dies on a solar eclipse in 975.
25. Time skip 1000 years to modern day Seoul. Your guess is as good as mine. Let's hope for a good ending with all the loose ends tied up nicely.
Will we all be alright on Tuesday night? I am going to ask my hubby and kids to stay out of my way from 9pm.

Anyway, as much as I hate that HS is seemingly leaving WS in the next episode, I guess I can relate to her because I also often buried my feelings, can't say what I really wanted to say, and holding back on my anger, so much that I regret it. Maybe that is why I often get angry with HS's decision, and question her love, because I know just like me she is gonna regret it at some point. I'm so sorry if my earlier frustration on her somehow creates many analysis on HS's reason in this episode. lol I agree though, the girl just get mentally exhausted because HS-GJ keep on hurting each other.
So, back to your post, I agree that most of this will likely happens in next episode.... And I'm sure I'm gonna cry hard on these :

I was just thinking if they're going to use it in the part where WS is so broken and he finds himself again, visiting the lake in the middle of the night because it's already becoming a habit for him to go there just to catch a glimpse of his significance other and because that is where he and HS meet most of the time. After telling himself he is stupid and HS isn't in this world anymore, he tirns back and he suddenly sees HS from afar crying and said "I wait here for a long time. What took you so long?". He can't believe it but she keeps on coming closer to him. And then when she is within his reach, he kiss her hard, all while crying. But then when he he realizes that it's all just his hallucination. And then his heart (along with ours) becomes hard, more broken, shattered, and inconsolable when HS hallucination leaving him. (I'm so sorry. I'm just a sucker for this kind of sad scene. Maybe I really am a masochist when watching a melodrama. LOL)
THIS DRAMA HAS DONE A 180 ON MY LIFE AND MY FAMILY&FRIENDS ALREADY QUESTIONED MY EMOTIONAL STATE

It would be epic if she ends up drowning in a Goryeo lake and rises from future Wang So's bathtub ( parallel scene with the beginning). I tend to avoid watching incomplete dramas but SHR is one of the exceptions. I don't know why I'm putting myself through the pain honestly. Maybe it's because I've followed this thread since December...I can't back out now.

It's 09.18 A.M here in my side of the world and I'm in the middle of my class right now but I can't help thinking about yesterday's episode.
If I have a discussion with the writer (W) and The director (D) in a meeting room maybe it will goes like this.
Me : Character wise, those character you write are all epic.
W : Thankyou.
Me : But the praise ends there. Some of their growth are horrendous.
W : What do you mean? I don't have time! I think about the story for 35 or more episodes and they made it into 20 episodes drama what can I do? And it's the director's decision to choose what to show on the screen, so their growth got skipped a lot.
Me : Director, what do say about this?
D : Deadlines. I'm chased with deadlines what can I do?
Me : Sigh. This is a mess. Whatever. Now *flips paper* I have some complaints. Many people are complaining about the shift change in WS's personality.
W & D : What do you mean shift change WS always has this ruthless streak even in the beginning.
Me : I know he stays on character. I know that you tried to showed us that WS is very ruthless by slacing the horse, burning the trees, fighting the wolves, fighting the monks, lalala that makes him a very hard and kind of cruel character but then you showed us how he got humanities from knowing HS, and you just showed us cinnamon roll WS from then and suddenly in episode 17 you decided to show us ta dah his cruel streak is back without good transition. People get shocked of course. Though not me, I kinda love it.
W & D : .... We have no comments on this. Time. Deadlines.
Me : sigh-_- well, I just hope he won't have another shift change and goes ballistic on us by sleeping with YH when HS is still there. That is plain cruel to his growth.

Sleeping with his sister who unknowingly poisoned him without his knowledge, while still being in love with another girl just because you get jealous suddenly when he seems like he doesn't really care at all in the past is just plain stupid. DOES SHE EVEN LOVE HIM?? DOES SHE??? Why is it that it looks like she is not putting any effort into the relationship, and only WS who is trying hard?? Whenever she is having a fight in episode 17 with Wang So looks feds up and leaves the room first, and she just gives up?? without chasing him??? HAHAHAHA*maniac laugh* where is the HS that said she will trust WS? understand him? hates to be apart from him?? WHY IS SHE KEEPS ON BREAKING PROMISES TO HIM??
Isn't Ha Jin supposed to be 6-7 years older than WS?? Apart from asking too much from WS to suit everything within her saint complex core, this is just plain running away from problem. If I'm Wang So I will also be fed up with her. And she is the main character? Where is her growth lesson? WHY? WHYYYYYYYYYY.W : I leave the growth to viewers imagination. And HS said that it's okay for victimezed people like her to be selfish.....
Me : STOP. Didn't she learn what WS was through at the moment from YH? How much pressure he is in? At that fight they have about Jung, this is what she should do in this stage of story, IF she truly loves him :
WS gets angry and leaves the room,
HS chases him and kiss him senseless.
And then when he is back to puppy Wang So, she asks what happens, why is he like this suddenly? What's wrong? I don't understand. I'm stupid. I'm clueless about politics. Please teach me. Please enlighten me. No, sorry hyperbole at the end. But she should ask him what is wrong!!!W : she is from modern time...
Me : *flips table, papers everywhere* screw this. I'll just watch gwangjong takes revenge on those snakes and give up on redeeming HS. Now she just cross my patience and I can't see her love as trascend time and space. *walks out. slams the door.*

MLSHR S-One international version, based on my memory.
Wook just basically attacks WS on his marriage prospect and clan control. HS hear from YH all the problem WS have with his monarch and how a queen should help him with her clans backups so he won't get stripped out of his crown fast. WS said to Wook why should I choose and sacrifice something when I can just have everything, but Wook knows he is kidding himself and it seems like an impending doom words.
JM told the story about prince to HS. I laugh at the one on Yo-Wook book grabbing. IMO, seeing it from JM POV, they are such an innocent and normal princes, actually, the throne is the things that makes them go berserk. So we should hate the throne together. JM asked HS to give up on marrying WS. HS reject, but she seems not sure.
HS getting all cutie pie and asking WS on a date. WS answers cutely too and agrees on a date. And ta daaah what a beautiful couple. Ponytailed Wang So is back!!! Dang how I miss those bangs. Wang So is so handsome and Hae Soo is so pretty and they're having such a cute date!!! FINALLY. No masked kiss though?? They go to the stone piles. Hae Soo just basically urging him to propose. So he does. But she rejects it because she can't give him support. WS goes angry. But HS said if she become queen, she will have to follow the rules and she can't go see him often. WS said she is the only queen for him. Sad proposal. ever. period. damn. I think I'm gonna cry.
Oh richard simmons. YH-WS wedding. Darn I'm gonna sulk. Glad that it's short and goes swoosh like dust.
HS prays. Jung is here. I hate those sideburns on Jung. He said jokingly he is not welcomed in the couple wedding. Sigh. I really hate how he keeps pestering HS about how she should tell him when she wants it (leaving the palace).
The Wedding Night. WS opened YH veils. OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. LOL Wang So said to Yeon Hwa's face you can just focus on playing queen. LOL LOL

HS and CR are on the stone piles. CR telling HS story about her family. Hiks.. And HS trying to hypnotize herself and chanting "I'm fine." while

Jung getting exiled, losing his power and status. I agree with WH-BA, yes, you should stay still HS yaa.. Don't do any noble idiocy. Aand, the queen is sick. huh. HS-WS fight because WS won't let Jung in the palace and HS just basically told Jung about queen mother. Why though? Jung is becoming 2nd HS with no rain scene and wait for her mother outside, BA gives him water... this is touching. Why are they loving that kind of mother? ckckckck. Ooh so this is GJ punishment and revenge to his mother, he will tell people that in her last moment she loves him so much. Thus making the clan accept him. In her last moment the queen tried to touch WS face. I don't know what she feels, but WS seems affected by the touch and now he is crying. And they put another Im Sunhwa OST. Dang I'm crying. Another WS-HS fight because of this. Can't you just hug him HS ya? Uuugh this couple just have the most problematic problem of miss and less communication ever. Again WS left the room and leaves HS with little explanation.

This episode is actually another good episode, almost in par in episode 11 imo, edit it's far from episode 11 but it's waaay better than yesterday's episode. But the last quarter of this episode just ruined it. It feels rushed, as usual. But what ruined it for me is HS's decision to accept Jung's plea. Yeah, I know it gets stuffy for her, but this is just.. I don't care anymore. She should solve her problem with WS and not run away from it!!! aaaaarrrggghhhh
Anyway, it seems like they leave out the pregnancy plot?
But then again, I'm glad that it seems like HS gonna die soon. They should just end this misery. She should die in episode 19. And we can enjoy episode 20 in modern setting, with no palace politics whatsoever.
AND EVERYONE!!!! we only have 2 more episodes of roller coaster ride to go!!! I need to meditate for next week.

Question : Why would WW use HS's scar as reasons that HS can't marry GJ? GJ also have scar, right? and isn't it HS's own cream that can solve that problem? That cream is magic! Just use magic to make the scar disappears! lol I guess they won't marry because HS can't provide the support that GJ needs as king and she is feeling guilty as she have chance of leaving him faster because of her health. Sigh.
At the stone prayer HS said that she only have less than 10 years to life in this Goryeo era. Dare I hope? Can I delulu? I hope that this show won't go down with the miscarriage plan. Even if they're separated and go down with HS leaving palace with Jung, HS is actually pregnant and can give birth to WS's son without Jung knowing. Not even WS will know about this because she only told Baek Ah about her giving birth to Wang So's child. After that, Baek Ah will adopt HS&WS's son as his own son (isn't BA's son become the king that create Joseon era?). Later, when all hell breaks lose and HS die, and when WS seems ready to go berserk, BA will told him that his son is actually WS&HS's son. Hiks. I really hope there is a fragment that HS leaves in this era for WS... I feel really sad for him. The man can't catch a break before or after becoming king. I hope that son can stop him from becoming more ruthless after HS leaves him. There. End of delulu.

In this episode 17, in the international version, if my short term memory isn't failing me, General Park said that

This drama is taking an emotional roller coaster ride to a whole new level. I feel like my brain is progressing the scenes that are happening with lighting speed while my emotions are having a hard time trying to catch up. They're not in sync! I'm traumatized. lol.
This is what happened when the plot that have the basic of building things slowly and carefully getting fast forwarded and squeezed into this emotional swoosh and whiplash. They're taking away all the growing and learning that should've happened. It's making my brain hurts.
This problem is more apparent for me in this episode that not even lovely OTP moments can save me from the bad feelings I've got because of this emotional swoosh and whiplash.
Some people said before that the throne is cursed, and I agree! Basically most Sageuk I've watched just teach me that being royals especially being king is hell. They have 80% chance of having a personality change that brings the worst in his/her personality. Why dramaland why?
Knowing that this drama is full of angst and problems from the very first episode, I think I already prepared my heart for the complications, but.... I guess I was wrong.. lol. I still need to catch a break.
I beg of you upcoming episode, please be nice. please be happy. please don't get too complicated on me. just let the complications go swoosh and whiplash and you can prolong the happy moments more. lol. please.. please...

Anyway I kinda envy and pity Korean fans at the same time. I mean if I watch it with LJG, I won't be able to enjoy and concentrate on the screen and will keep glancing to see his expression instead. LOL Also, the evil part of me want mlshr to have very sexy scenes at the end of the episode so the fans can tease him like crazy. Hahahaha Just like when the fans asked him if there was a bed scene or not in his movie, and he gets so shy and timid.... omg his reaction was precious. Hahahaha I LIKE IT WHEN HE GETS SHY.. I agree the thread goes crazy whenever there is a new stills/news/bts/etc. hahaha and I do feel that this week's stills and episode can't satisfy my (and maybe yours and possibly all of us) thrist for LJG/WSthis drama. Hahaha... Omoo... please tell your cousin to be strong and don't take it to the heart too much.. I also get teased by my friends in university because I have so many MLSHR pictures on my phone that I have trouble finding my project assignment photos/pictures. LOL But then again, instead of getting discouraged I teased them back instead hehe

I'm so sad reading the article about LJG who feels responsible about the low ratings for this drama when the ratings are just based on people who watched it live...
I really wanted to say to LJG :
Somebody said it's better to have a few but dedicated fans than having many fans but not as dedicated. Now LJG-shi, imho, this drama isn't for watching live and moving on with RL or other drama just like that, but for people to watch it, get awed while confused, download the episode again, ponder about it, and finally understand the hidden meaning of what the writer try to convey and the meaning behind the expressions all the actors try to deliver, while wondering about the truth which is the real meaning of that plot and expression in the next episode. The conclusion is, this drama made people think, everyday, while waiting for the next episode. So maybe, just maybe, not everyone can watch it live and there are some people who just need to have the right mood to have a better understanding about this drama. That's why fans of this drama has better chance of rewatching this drama in the future and remembering it in everyday life. IMO, this drama definitly attracts more dedicated fans, who fall in love with the subtle meaning behind every episodes. Proof? HERE! and all the websites who posted the episode about this drama or just talk about this drama. I've never seen so many comments on a drama before. That means people feel the need to talk and analyze about drama so much they may start to write a thesis out of it. LOL What has MLSHR done to you people (and me also)??

THEN BAM!!
She sees right in front of her, separated by the lake, this man in her vision. Smiling. How great will it be for some kind of epilogue or prologue to a whole new drama. Pffftttt
