  1. Watched it. Feel so cheated that they didn't meet. But finally glad that this roller coaster of emotions is over. I can finally breathe and move on, well not really if you count reading fanfics, haha.  A big heavy weight has been lifted off my chest. No drama made me feel this way. I'm feeling varies emotions that I can't express them in words. You guys get it I'm sure. I thought I would have been crying hysterically and going nuts and mad, but I strangely feel calm. Does it make sense to feel numb but at the same time have different emotions? I don't know what to think anymore, but happy that its over. . I might re-watch it in the distance future, not anytime soon. I want to get over this heartache.  This drama will be very special to me. Can't say all the reasons why but it is. Made me create an account and  join this forum for the first time:bawling:. I loved sharing my thoughts, feelings, and getting to know you guys. This won't be my last post, I feel like I'm saying a sad goodbye. I hope we meet again in a different drama. Some dramas I watch I leave it halfway cuz I don't find it appealing anymore, but rare dramas such as this, boy did it make me crave for more. Just real sad that they didn't meet.

  2. There is a saying "there's more than meets the eye " I think this could be said for the preview. Just think like why in the world would LJG have a fan meeting with almost 600 people if it ends with tears and regret. Damn if he enjoys watching his fans suffer then I think he lost it during filming when he's ruthless king. There's got to be more than tears and saddens and regret. The viewers need to be satisfied. If the audience aren't satisfied then doesn't that affect future projects of the writer. Viewers remember how each drama ends and who wrote it and directed it. I mean if you watch a film that is beautiful in cinematography but not that well at the writing department, the criticism follows you in your next project. Or am I wrong?? Anyway my point is that I hope the fan meeting goes wonderfully well and few people faint of broken hearted and we get the ending we deserve.

I watched both version. There's no 'action' at all, they cut it with So clenching his teeth and stood close to YH.

I'm dying to deny this, but after re-watching the epi, couldn't help to feel they actually did it, but the director/writer purposely left it vague for our imagination. then, we'll all go nuts and die of curiousity  *scratching my head 'til it bleeds"

Thanks. The only thing I do now is read recaps and check Instagram. Don't have the energy to watch the whole episode. I will once final airs. Just not now. I noticed that, not now but before, that the writer or director, or both, they love to leave scenes vague and ambiguous:huh: Really not helpful

I need first psychological aid! How am I even supposed to analyze this TRAINWRECK of an episode?!! This drama makes me want to murder people - which is basically the writer and basically every single character except for WS and BA. I think the writer made a bet how much makjang drama and illogical tragedy she could squeeze in in 60 minutes and she has just broke the world record. To achieve it she got high on crack while writing the final episodes. She has destroyed 18 hours of character and relationship development and storytelling, ruining the OTP in the process.

Actually, So’s character remains consistent for the most part of the episode, however, there are TWO GLARING MISTAKES, AND INCONSISTENCIES which makes the whole episode utterly incoherent.

The first one is the THE (NON-)CONSUMMATION SCENE. Apart from the red curtains, there is absolutely no indication whether So and YH slept together or not, be it in the scene alone or in the aftermath. But the thing is THOSE RED CURTAINS WERE IN THAT ROOM SINCE THE VERY BEGINNING. Other than that, there was NO CANDLE BLOWN, THEY DIDN’T EVEN TOUCH, THEY DIDN’T SHOW THEM LYING IN THE BED IN THE AFTERMATH…. just NOTHING. It’s impossible to analyze something when you have absolutely no context whatsoever. And let’s say they did consummate their marriage (I mean YH DID betray her brother) - THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO REACTION FROM WS AFTERWARDS! WS has had always strong reactions because he feels so much and cares so much, even after he killed those monks he suffered from guilt, after he learned about BA leaving his side,…BUT NOW THERE IS NOTHING. Remember how guilty and unhappy he was WHEN HE MARRIED MOO’S DAUGHTER?! THIS IS A MAN WHO FELT GUILTY AND WAS READY TO LET HS GO BECAUSE HE WAS FORCED TO MARRY A CHILD! And he only sent her to nunnery and now WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE THAT AFTER “CHEATING” ON HS HE WOULDN’t SUFFER FROM ANY GUILT?! That he wouldn’t let her go?! After everything we’ve seen in those 18 previous episodes, how are the viewers supposed to believe he would actualy do this to HS when he promised to be only hers, when he promised her she is his only queen?! That’s the reason why I absolutely do not accept that there was any kind of consumation between them. HOW ELSE DO YOU EXPLAIN 4+ years WITHOUT A CHILD (it’s 951 now, and their son was born in November 955). The writer had it all set up so why not to exploit this strange occurance. Because if they did consummate the marriage combined with WS’s lack of any reaction - THIS SCENE HAS JUST SINGLEHANDEDLY DESTROYED WS’S CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.

My only consolation is that the drama ends tomorrow and I won’t need to deal with any more of this madness.

Halfway through the drama, I strongly believe that the writer was on crack, LOL. I was going to mention something similar like they were all drinking soju while writing this, drunk and not thinking straight, but being on crack sums it up. Just that portion destroyed Wang So for me. I think this is the only drama that I won't re-watch and wind up crazy. I can't believe we all went through this for a month. I rather watch Empress Ki and that's 50 episodes, there is complete madness but at least not this rushed and crazy.

in sbs version, WS did not know yet abt WW-HS past before this YH incident..

WS asked YH to betray her family if she wanted an heir, thus that's what happened..

UGH... she sits on the bed... grrrrr.... (sbs version was edited and cut where they are only standing after a short convo)

the editing makes all a difference if we will hate WS or not hehe

So.... did he sleep with her? I still can't get a clear answer, I don't want to watch it though. I know about their deal, but did "it" happen in SBS version or international or not at all?

  6. All the character development just went out the door. What a waste of time. I rather watch King Tajo and the evil mom than this. They were clear minded people than the ones I see now .

Wang So is over for me once he betrayed HS and gave himself to YH. He f****** slept with her due to knowing that HS used to have feelings for Wook and almost accepted his proposal. That was years ago dude, she loves you now and accepted you. But no you had to think as most men do when they hear that their lover accepted someone before them, and had to take revenge by sleeping with another. Not having watched the episode I might and could've missed key elements on why Wang So does what he does, but seeing this picture is why I'm so mad. So if you think HS deserves this than that's your opinion, I respect that. But like I said, this picture got me so MAD, which is why I'm ranting here. They always say jealousy and anger is never a good mix. I don't even want to watch the final anymore, they killed my favorite people. I'm glad Baek-A left the palace and so did Hae Soo. Go away and live in peace for your final days. I am happy that Hae Soo leaves this era, she never belonged here. This world is too savage for her.  God knows I need my peace. I think I need to watch Running Man or read fanfics to get my mood up. Gwangjong has killed me.

LOL..dont worry..but something in me is telling me to stay positive..really!

Since most of the things happnd in today's epi..i think they will show a brief moment in 21st century, with them getting together..i am 100% sure about that!!!

Aren't you the optimistic one. Sigh. I don't know anything anymore. Haven't seen 19 but looks like if I do watch it I'm gonna flip tables throughout the whole episode. I'll watch it together with 20. I'm not holding onto anything anymore, tired from staying positive, so drained of energy. The final better compensate us.

My thoughts on watching Ep18 & the extended preview of Ep19:

    Gwangjong is scary.

    Lee Joon-gi is hot.

    Gwangjong is nasty.

    Lee Joon-gi is hot.

    Gwangjong is crazy.

    Lee Joon-gi is hot.

    Gwangjong is cruel.

    Lee Joon-gi is hot.

    Gwangjong is evil.

    Lee Joon-gi is hot.

    Ohhhhh f***! I'm so screwed.

MLSHR, what are you doing to meeeeeeee?!!!!! Helllllllppppp!!!

Seriously though. Those eyes, that bone-structure, that face..... The combination is lethal.

I can feel my brain cells rapidly dying, just looking at it.

You hit the nail on all accounts. Gwangjong is really scary, Jesus Christ. "combination is lethal" that is already danger zone. My emotions are going to go out the window. His fans during the fan meeting, I don't know how they are going to concentrate on the screen with him around them. I am blushing red just looking at him on screen, probably melt in front of him when I see him.

Hello friends!! Just shrooming by to drop off the "insurance"/episode 18 fix-it fic I wrote to deal with the post-18 pain. It's historically inaccurate. But I'm just going to live in that universe because canon is doing me too dirty. :( I'm so not ready for the next episodes. You would not believe how not ready I am hahaha.

from the perfect start, to the finish line

    ladyfriday

    Summary:

Sleep is elusive in the nights that follow. He lies with his head on her pillow. She rests her head in the crook of his shoulder, holding onto him as if her life depends on it. It is perhaps not new, in that he has shared her bed, he has had the privilege of holding her while she sleeps. She stops shivering, eventually. She calms, eventually. But she doesn’t let him go.

They don’t speak. They have no need to.

    She is his only queen.

    [read here]

Can you PLEASE CONTINUE IT! Add a wedding and more, like YH punishment and Wook's. She learns the truth but I don't think he gives out punishments. Anyway it was so good, that it made my mood better. After watching 19 and 20, I'm gonna re-read this to feel better again. Please continue!

  10. If there is a HUGE PLOT TWIST that can make us all HAPPY and make us cry HAPPY tears, then I will applaud and bow down to the writer for doing such an incredible writing and surprising us. Sadly as far as we can tell Woo Hee commits suicide. Baek-A lost someone who loves him back and is lost again. Break-up of WS and HS. YH plotting to have a son and be powerful. Wook confessing about his proposal and feelings regarding HS, which leads to disaster and falling into a trap that includes treason. Jung...who knows what he's up to, probably going to beg WS to let HS leave the palace and showing the hairpin. No idea what happens to Won.

When everything goes to chaos and WS goes to rampage, but there is hope and light at the end of the tunnel, I will jump and scream out of joy. I don't like to sound like a broken record, but we all want HAPPINESS, HEALING and LOVE. So far all I'm receiving and showing is hell, stress, depression, negativity, pain, anger, etc. So please, drama gods ****prayer hands and looking up*** give our couple your blessings and happy ending. beg-onion-head-emoticon.gif

  11. I really hope that one way or the other, Wang So learns about Has Soo diagnosis. I want him to drill the royal doctor about why Hae Soo's health is decreasing, looking pale and not upbeat, plus can't they tell when she's clutching her chest and pounding too that something is not right with her. I don't think people who are healthy would constantly smooth and pound their chest area. Saying she is simply ill isn't enough for me. We learned that she won't be able to walk ever again, that's huge. She is going to be paralyzed waist down, and last time I checked this is 10th century, no wheelchairs. Her heart can give away any second from shock or anything that's too big to handle. She is the king's woman, so the king should know whether his love's life is in danger or not.

"Starting from today, I will never see you again" these words will be the most painful and harsh for Hae Soo whose life will be shortened by this inminent break up. With this scene we will see the end of their relationship and how will disapear the last residue of kindness in Wang So, now Gwangjong. I cannot even imagine how painful it will be for him when he finds out that she died loving him until her last breath  depressed1 onion head

That quote will reduce Hae Soo's  life expectancy from 10 years to one day T_T. Imagine him knowing her death and realizing that his words caused more harm than good. Her last words will be wanting to see Wang So, but he rejects her cuz he is hurt and stubborn and not thinking straight. He will realize that he didn't get the chance to see her one last time, the only woman he looked at and loved, and yet he couldn't be at her deathbed. He got to say goodbye to his mother, who didn't even blink an eye at his direction, but for Hae Soo he might not T_T.

  13. Sorry if I'm going to sound super negative.

I really feel like not watching tomorrow's episode or the final for some reason. Every couple that we began to love and grow attached to is dead: Eun and Soon-Duk, Baek-A and Woo-Hee, and now from the still and preview Wang So and Hae Soo.  All those couples that we rooted for, cried for, and grown attached to like best friends are no more.Plus all the good people: Madam Hae  and Lady Oh-You are remembered:bawling:. "Re-write history for love"--I don't trust you anymore. Moon Lovers has taught me not to believe in previews anymore, throughout the end bad guys get what they want (YH) if not all then half (Yo, Wook and Won), and good things never last, period:heartbreak:. Maybe the writer wanted to show how the emperor became who he was before taking the throne, sure show it, but why state "Re-write history" when everything that we know about So and his wife and kids is happening correctly as we know it. My mind is 50/50 on watching tomorrows and the final. I'm for sure going to check this forum and everyone's posts, but I'm like Hae Soo, my heart literally can't take the pain especially the breaking up part. The General was right, so many deaths that you really don't want to breathe the same air. But on the other hand, the more I think about it, I want closure. If your guys posts sound so negative and angry and everyone's crying, that lakes and oceans can form, then my  closure would be my own imagined ending, haha. I desperately need it. Though I think I will watch both episodes with turning my emotions off ( I sound like Damon from TVD, :sweatingbullets:). Like really a robot just watching without crying or feeling bitter, especially since I have classes on those days. I don't want to snap and kill someone and blame it on ML and LJG incredible acting.
