Yes, I don't think it's Suryeon. It's most likely the twins' mom. DT's words can't be trusted, he lies about everything, prolly including the existence of the twins' birth mom. So I'm pretty sure this lady is the real mom. I just hope she's here for revenge against DT.

Okay I decided to come back to this forum after seeing spoilers on twitter. 

 

FIRSTLY. I really don't think Rona died. Like for now, I do think that YH and Logan probably might stash her away in America to recover first. Cause Rona's story HAS NO CLOSURE?! So I really really hope she's still alive. And I really hope the writer isn't stupid to completely kill Rona off esp when she knows that everyone LOVE Rona x Seokhoon pairing, so killing her completely is gonna make netz angry. But if the writer still does it, then.. I'd be pissed and will prolly stop watching.. at least until the S2 finishes airing. 

 

SECONDLY. LEE JI AH IS BACK. Also, a lot of people (on twitter) seem to think it's Suryeon but it's not though. It's the twins' mom! At least S1 kinda hinted and prepared us for this revelation. Hmm. I do hope she'll be a friend instead of a foe for YH, Logan and gang. I hope she's back to take revenge for Suryeon and wipe Dantae off completely. 

 

THIRDLY. Gad, I was rooting for Dr Ha but looks like he became worst tHAN IN S1. ugh. how despicable and to think we were all rooting for him. 

 

FOURTHLY. Eunbyeol needs psychiatric help. Istg, this girl is going crazy. Like mother like daughter. And I know there's a preview of Seokhoon about to kiss Eunbyeol?? I'm pretty sure he's gonna pretend to fall for her/date her/flirt with her to get her to admit she's the one who "killed" (cause I still don't believe Rona's dead.. yet) Rona. So I'm really interested to know how Seokhoon will take his revenge too. 

 

FIFTHLY. I am still waiting to see a redemption arc for Seokyung. Sure, she's been a RickRoll'D so far but I wanna see more fight between her and Eunbyeol. 

 

Again, the above are just my opinions and I really really do hope Rona's still alive. (Which could explain why Hyeonsoo might be so cryptic about it on Ig. Like if she really left Penthouse, i'd expect her to say a farewell message on ig, but she hasn't (with only captions like #penthouse2 #baerona for now on her posts) so.. fingers cross!)

HI EVERYONE, I'm back FOR SEASON 2!!! 

 

Okay so I don't have a lot to say cause the first 2 eps were quite meh in my opinion. Except the scenes where Dr Ha and YH appeared in the damn freaking helicopter making everyone shocked LMAO. That was my favorite scene! Also, I'm pretty sure YH has some revenge plan with Dr Ha and Logan so I can't wait to see WHAT IS IT and WHO it involves! 

 

Gosh, that scene where the kids turned their back on Jenny tho. UGH reminds me of why I hated them in the first place. but kudos to Jenny for that character development. Now all I'm waiting for is Jenny teaming with Rona and breaking the rest. 

 

Seokyung being angry is understandable (as much as I hated how she threw water at YH and bullied Jenny) but hopefully when she finds out the truth that it was her dad all along, she'll turn her back on him and become nicer. 

 

Ah.. Eunbyeol.. All i can say is that i'm sure S2 Eunbyeol will become more crazy and manipulative like her mother. But oof, that mysterious guy in the closet though? My heart is anxiously hoping it's NOT Seokhoon.. 

 

Speaking of home boy, very little scenes of him so far so I have nothing really to say. Only that I'm still on the ship of SHxRona. 

 

Rona, poor girl having to live without her mom for 2 years, getting mistreated and ostracised by people  I really can't wait to see what she's gonna do now that she's back at school! hopefully she'll be more stronger and fight back this time.

1. Yoonhee's return and the start of her revenge. 

 

2. What is Logan gonna do now? 

 

3. RONA AND SEOKHOON END GAME PLS. (Btw, people are saying that the girl who held Seokhoon's hand might be Eunbyeol because of the height and hairstyle..) But i still trust homeboy that he still like Rona a lot and he will definitely stay true to her (feelings wise). 

 

4. Dr Ha's revenge as well..?? 

 

5. DT and SJ's downfall.

If not then it's him completely ghosting her because he's angry and upset that the mother of the girl he really likes killed his mom.

We got a bit of hint that a doppelganger might exist in the scene where Logan asked Suryeon about the rumors of her being involved with someone and Suryeon was like "no i don't know them at all". To which kinda confirmed Logan's suspicions that Suryeon might have a doppelganger or an unknown twin.

If I recall correctly, they did start quite early last year but only finished filming S1 a month ago (or longer) but it's not pre-produced.

From this scene it does seemed like Rona genuinely has feelings for Seokhoon all along and I guess she kinda forgave him? Anyway, from here we can also tell that Seokhoon really likes Rona ALOT! So i believe that once he finds out who the real killer of Suryeon is, he'll probably find back Rona.

ok my thought on the final ep of season 1..

 

I have a feeling that the one who died isn't Suryeon but her doppelganger aka twins' biological mom? Looking at the theories from peeps here and on twitter, there have been subtle differences shown in several scenes where Suryeon was in (like diff earrings or no rings at all etc). So maybe Suryeon might have found her doppelganger way earlier and probably hatch a plan with her or something. Sounds unrealistic but hey it's a makjang! 

 

But since Lee Ji Ah is confirmed to be in season 2 we have nothing to be sad about! 

 

About Yoonhee's death.. I hardly think she'll die too cause ya know, makjang. And all we see if her lying there bleeding, she could still be saved. 

 

LOGAN. I really really hope we'll see him for the entire season 2 and not just a couple of eps (cause i read somewhere that he's cameo-ing only but i hope this isn't true)!! There's so many unfinished business so Logan can't leave Korea just like this! 

 

This is prolly the only makjang I've seen whereby the bad guys appear happily at the finale. Istg the amount of rage I felt when I see them partying while unknowingly, their children are prolly suffering internally from ptsd or something. 

 

Now onto little hera club! 

 

The twins crying esp Seokyung breaking down made me cry too  Sure, Seokyung had been a mean girl but in that moment, I really sympathised with her  

 

Rona as well. Now that her mother has been branded as a murderer, she has no one to depend on anymore. Even Seokhoon gave up on her (heart broke when he returned the keychain). But I'm really really really hoping this ship will sail AGAIN in season 2 once Seokhoon finds out that it's his RickRoll'D of a father who killed his mom and that it's not Rona's mom at all!!! 

 

Shooketh at Jenny's actions as well!!!! Looks like she's learning her lesson and trying to be kinder and nicer. I went a little "aw" when she gave Rona food and told her to stay at home quietly in case people came back again. 

 

Eunbyeol officially went mad alr and i completely don't blame her for it. It's her mother's fault entirely. And now plot twist, her daughter's the one blackmailing her all along WOW! Who would have thought that! Now I would like to see what Seojin will do in season 2 i mean.. she can't kill her daughter right for the blackmail! 

 

In conclusion..

 

I CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON 2 TO AIR ASAP!!!!!!!!! and i'm hoping the teaser for it will come out soon ugh!!

firstly.. PLEASE TELL ME THAT THE DEAD WOMAN IS SURYEON'S DOPPELGANGER because i don't believe that Suryeon would die that easily. 

 

secondly idk what will happen to my rona x seokhoon ship now that her mom killed "his mom" or in that case, Suryeon's doppelganger  but that scene where rona defended them at school was a little awwww to me :') 

 

thirdly, PLS LET LOGAN LIVE. LIKE i know dantae kidnapped him and we'll see more in the final ep of season 1 but PLEASE LET HIM LIVE and reunite him with an alive suryeon!!!

 

all in all, this is indeed a makjang but i don't think i'll be satisfied with season 1 ending so CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON 2 TO AIR ASAP

Gad, all i can say is that throughout ep 20... I HATE YOONHEE'S GUTS. Like, I get it, you're willing to go all the way to protect your daughter, but come on, SR is also a mother who lost her daughter, she has all the evidence that YH killed MSA but YH just won't confess. Ugh, sooner or later her guilty conscience is gonna eat her up and break her down. I bet on it. 

 

But wow, seeing DT and SJ getting arrested was veryyyyyyy satisfying. But why do I have a feeling they'll get away with it? sigh. 

 

I would say that the kids and adults got what they deserved but I did feel a tiny bit of pity for the kids since now they gotta deal with this mental trauma. Oh well, always think before you act I guess.

 

As to who's most likely to die? Hmm.. I think it could Eunbyeol? Though I'm hoping it won't be Rona cause it feels like her story isn't finished!

I FINALLY CAUGHT EP 18!!! Ok firstly.. I'M DISGUSTED BY YOONHEE. Not because of her betrayal BUT the fact she seduced DT just to get what she wanted. LIKE????? no different from SJ aT ALL! UGH if Rona finds out that her mom and Seokhoon's dad are having some fling SHE'D BE HORRIFIED. and this time, their mother-daughter r/s would most likely break till the point of no return ew. 

 

Anyway, the only person i'm truly rooting for now is Suryeon. Like I JUST HOPE NO ONE TOUCHES HER AND SHE'LL WIN THIS ENTIRE FIGHT. And looking at the preview, looks like she will find out Yoonhee's true motives alr. Whew, I was kinda worried the writers would drag it out and make Suryeon still trust her. 

 

GAD THE LAST PART OF THE EP WAS SOOOOOO SATISFYING. Seeing the kids and the adults being locked LIKE THEY GOT WHAT THEY DESERVED. Also, from the flashbacks with the kids and MSA, it looked to me that Seokhoon was the only person who isn't as evil as the other kids. We see him wanting to open the door to let MSA out but then the other kids asked him to quickly run away which is why he left.

 

Not to mention, the scene where he confronted DT!! THAT IS DEVELOPMENT RIGHT THERE. I believe this is only the beginning, he'll start to challenge DT more and more from now! SO SEOKHOON DOES HAVE HOPE STILL. A hope of having a redemption arc (hopefully by season 2 he'll change and make up for his mistakes)!!! 

 

I legit had goosebumps watching the scene where the kids were breaking down seeing their parents locked up. Hope it got into their brain that whatever they did to MSA, their parents are taking the punishment for it. Hopefully it'll wake them up.

Okay i finally caught the subbed versions!! 

 

Firstly!! I'M LIVING FOR THIS RONA. like i actually like how she's behaving. i mean, it's not even as bad as what the other kids did to her. Even in the confrontation scene at the community room, Rona was calm and collected plus Eunbyeol was the one who started the fight because she was insecure (as always). And one thing stood out to me was the scene where Rona was about to head to school, she told Yoonhee "I will start fighting now". LIKE YOU GO GIRL. 

 

But, I am kinda bummed that Rona x Seokhoon's relationship isn't exactly genuine. Like its' pretty obvious (like what Seokyung told him) that she's "using" him as a "shield" in school. And I'm quite sure Seokhoon knows it too but I guess his heart's still soft for Rona. Anyway, there was this part where Rona told Seokhoon that he told her he liked her? Does anyone know if there was a scene where he actually said/confessed that? Cause I don't really recall him directly telling her he likes her..?

 

AND DAMN I LOVE WHAT SEOKHOON TOLD EUNBYEOL. The fact that he told her that they aren't any different and that they themselves are all trash inside. WOWS. Like boi actually knows what he's talking about man. I see this as a tiny step to him getting a redemption arc. At least he knows he's wrong and that him and the gang are not special in anyway too. AND YAS HE TOLD EUNBYEOL ABOUT HER MOM. Like ok, I felt a tiny tiny pity for eunbyeol since she realises that her mom is a mistress and an adulteress which causes her a big mental breakdown.. 

 

Secondly! I still have doubts about YH being the killer though? Like it's only ep 18 and we already know the killer?! Like, a bit too fast isn't it? Plus, it's a makjang so I think there's gonna be more plot twists that we will not see it coming. 

 

RIP Suryeon x Yoonhee's friendship  It's obvious YH's gonna distance herself from Suryeon since she thinks MSA was killed by her.

I actually saw a bit of Baddie Rona and I'm not exactly annoyed by it. Like it feels satisfying to see Eunbyeol getting treated this way for once. Also, I guess Seokhoon and Rona are "fake dating"? Gotta catch the subs version to see what exactly they discussed but for now, I'm kinda satisfied with the little couple moments in ep 17! Also.. now i'm wondering about Rona's true feelings for Seokhoon (since we all know that he really really like her)

 

ALSO MY LOGAN x SURYEON SHIP IS ABOUT TO SAIL?! WOOHOO! If I'm not wrong, in the preview for ep 18, Suryeon probably went to find Logan after almost getting killed by DT and Logan was like "come with me to america, i'll make you happy"(?) Again, I need the subs to know the accurate translation!!! 

 

Also it seems like the stage for Seojin is getting lesser now since we are seeing YH turning evil? I actually don't mind as long as Rona don't become exactly like Eunbyeol.. still giving her the benefit of doubt.

Okay I have no idea what to describe today's ep but like.. SOMEONE GIVE KIM SOYEON BEST ACTRESS PLS?! The only thing memorable to me today was her screaming. Seojin's just screaming and screaming and screaming the entire episode lmao!

 

Also, idk what to think about Rona now. I get it, she's probably going through a "phase" and is all emo emo but I am really hoping the writers don't downgrade her character cause I'm getting a little impatient ugh. 

 

I can say that my new OTP is officially Logan & Suryeon! Hope somehow their partnership could turn into something much more hehe 

 

And even though I've always wanted Rona x Seokhoon but I'm not exactly anticipating the next ep where they start "going out". Like it feels as if Rona's just "using" him to get back at the gang and we'll prolly know what Seokhoon really feels in the next ep. 

 

tl:dr - i feel like the storyline is getting complicated and messy. but i kinda expected it since its a makjang after all!

Same! Like of course we don't want her to become evil like the other kids but it's better for her to start fighting back instead of letting them control her. We also gotta understand, she's a teenager who's been bullied countless of time, if she doesn't fight back she'll be like MSA - dead!

@Aolian AHHHHH. Firstly, we see how ANGRY Seokhoon became when he saw the video of Rona being bullied. LIKE IT WAS JUST PURE ANGER TOWARDS MINHYUK. The way he screamed asking where the heck is she was juST WOW. I guess from here, I don't doubt his feelings for her. Like it just convinced me that Seokhoon's feelings for her have gone a bit deeper than we ever thought. This is the first time he actually cares for a girl other than his twin. But sadly, it's a bit too late though. The fact that Rona saw the video of Seolah being bullied by Seokhoon and friends, that's when she knew "ah, Seokhoon isn't different from them. He's just like them too, a jerk." 

 

Which is why I really really really hope somehow Seokhoon is given a chance to redeem himself. And I do hope to see Seokhoon regretting what he did to Seolah and just changing for the better. Hopefully this will be a chance for him to prove his true feelings for Rona too. 

 

But I really don't think Seokhoon was the one who killed Seolah.. 

 

Anyhow, I just don't want this ship to sink. I really really hope the writers won't break them up totally cause MY HEART WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO TAKE IT.

I second this. When she said it to him, it did seemed like she's saying that SA died even when she didn't do anything so the same might happened to her. The look on his face though. Like he was a little horrified and guilty. Like the thought of Rona possibly being bullied till death could actually happen if she continued staying in the school. And the fact that it's his sister and friends ( and indirectly by Seokhoon himself too) who could potentially kill Rona might have come across his mind. Which could explains why he appeared dumbfounded when she told him off.

SAME. I can't get enough of Seokhoon and Rona! But I guess the adults scenes are more important first, but hopefully we get a chance to see Seokhoon having a chance to redeem himself and prove his true feelings to Rona. 

 

Gosh I usually hate makjangs but this is one where I have to see every episodes just to know what happens next! It's no wonder the ratings are increasing every week!!

I'm hoping for this too. I understand why she's behaving this way. Afterall, she's still a teenager and to hear the news about your mother getting involved with a married man, it's natural to blame her mother, which is why she screams and yell about wanting to quit school etc. On top of that, she's being blackmailed by Eunbyeol who threatens to reveal about the "affair" so all these are just too much for Rona to handle which explains her acting out. Totally get it. 

 

But I do hope she matures later on once she listens to her mother's explanation and what truely is going on between her and Dr Ha.

MAN THIS EPISODE MADE ME RAGE BUT HAPPY AT THE SAME TIME.

 

Rage cause of what Eunbyeol is doing to Rona, controlling her by blackmailing about her mother. But tbh, Rona should ask her mother to explain everything. Proper communication with her mother is needed sigh. 

 

My Seokhoon x Rona heart shooked when he found her but she gave him the cold shoulder. But I understand why she did that since to her, Seokhoon's "feelings" are fake(?) but damn we see how worried he was when he found Rona though.. And the way he ran after her when she quit school. I'm looking forward to more of their interactions in the next ep!!

 

Happy because LOOKS LIKE LOGAN AND SR ARE BECOMING ALLIES?! And DT and SJ's affair is finally out muahaha! Queen SR FTW! and oh my, looks like i'm low key shipping logan and SR now..

Hello!! Firstly yep! Min SeolA is SR's biological daughter, but she's not the twin's half sister since the twin's are not SR biological children. Secondly, well.. Seokhoon was part of the mean kids gang who bullied SeolA so he's not exactly an angel. But Rona had nothing to do with Seol A if I remembered correctly. I'm just shipping them cause their little romance is the only cute thing going on in the entire drama lol!

I've been looking forward for the premier ever since this drama was announced! I read a few chapters of the webtoon a long time ago and I love the casting!! It's really similar to the webtoon version so I love it!

First episode was quite good so far. Sigh, I hated how Jugyeong was bullied for being ugly. No one deserves that tbh. I was kinda hoping to see her bullies reaction to her transformation but I guess it won't happen since she got transferred to another school. 

 

Indeed, the power of makeup! But of course, I still believe that everyone should deserve to be happy with or without makeup. Can't wait to catch the second ep!

I kinda lowkey ship them as well when I saw how he looked at her at the party. I think there could be a chance of them going from just pure allies to a couple! But it probably won't happen for now. Maybe in season 2 or 3. But i think it'd be awesome. The preview where DT caught them outside the hotel room made it look like she and Logan had something going on lmao. But who is DT to judge anyway since he has his own secret affair ugh

Ugh, the bullying scene made me RAGE. Though I do hope Seokhoon will find her and save her but I'm pretty sure Rona will want nothing to do with him. Ah, from the start I've already foresee that Seokhoon will somehow unintentionally hurt her esp when it's revealed that he started getting close to her because of Seokyung.. 

 

That scarf scene was intense LOL! I love how Suryeon always have the upperhand. I just find it very despicable of SJ to reveal the truth about SR not being the twins' birth mother, like she had to stoop this low in order to win against SR? lmao, pathetic!

 

Anyway, I'm looking forward for Logan and Suryeon finally allying to bring down DT and SJ!!!!
