  1. @maribella About Ed's wardrobe, remember in Teacher Oh Soon-nam the FL always dressed down until about half way through the drama: hair always up, wearing hanboks, etc. Until she walked into the boardroom of the company - voila!

I look at TI & I'm reminded of that drama that aired not too long ago. Cornbread! The husband was his wife's boss & was having an affair. Even though the audience was red-faced & blubbering, the guy's expression never changed.

NOTE: One of my shortcomings is that I can't multi-think. I'm cooking cornbread at the moment so trying to think of the name of a drama at the same time....No can do. So when I forget from this point on, I will insert the word "cornbread."

For those who might interested, short clips from today eps are available at youtube channel KBS Drama.

ED revenge mode ON. She's planning on something.

Of course not being that familiar w/the Korean language, I used the auto-translate on this clip. Leave it to auto-translate to lighten my mood.  I was deep into Magnificent Century: Kosem, all horrified & depressed, when the subtitles read: "Keep your p... up!" And I mean the word begins with a p and ends with an r. Needless to say, I bolted out of depression. And another time, Sultan Murad asked his would be assassin who she was & she replied Miley Cyrus. Consequently, the above clip held absolutely no seriousness for me.

I mean hes a good actor and radiates power but i still dont really feel much sympathy.. to me sympathy disappears when you kill your dad and wipe out races.

I guess maybe the word "sympathy" might not fit but I do "feel" for Tagon - for how he was brought up & how his supposed father both hated & feared him. As a result of his upbringing, Tagon both hated & feared his own people & so destroyed them. Maybe he thought by destroying those of his blood, he would be destroying that part of himself that he hated. His "people" were thought to be primitive - no brains, only savages with great strength. It's probably just me but from the first moment Tagon spotted Tanya in the crowd, he was drawn to her. Did anybody else notice that?

f you guys look deeper, Saya has a good heart. He was worried when he threatened Tanya (It was his way to make Tanya strong and think and not to wallow in grief just like what he did when Saenare died; and he keeps coming back and forth murmuring "What should I do? what if she really kill herself?" lol

I agree. I think he hates Tae Alha & laughed because he, Saya, was able to get revenge so cunningly. He's been isolated from everyone - the man he killed meant nothing to him. He knows there's not a thing Tae Alha can do; otherwise, she will alienate Tagon, her ticket to wealth & power.

The two characters I feel for the most is Tagon & Saya, Saya kept isolated & only allowed out at night and Tagon, sensing his father's fear & hatred and always out to win approval.

  5. From my understanding, the Emperor had a hand in the killing of the CP's mom. He didn't do it personally, but he knew she had to be a "factional sacrifice" to balance the powers and so didn't follow up on it. That's why he dreamed that - guilt. Unfortunately like father, like son. Both men believed they could kill & still keep the love of their life.

Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote: Not he is great who can alter matter but he who can alter my state of mind.

The CP only heard the Li Family's view. Even though he schemed to bring his enemies down, he still only looked at a small portion of the painting. As they say, he was too close to the forest to see the trees.

  6. I've been watching-not watching this drama from the get-go. I've been so angry that I've quit watching...then gave in & started again. Next, I get so miserably sad that I quit watching...then give in & start watching again. I've gone from extremely high blood pressure to a nonexistent blood pressure (at least that's what it felt like). If I've learned one thing from watching GMP... it's that emotional roller-coaster dramas are NOT conducive to one's health.

An acceptable ending for this drama is the original one. XF has endured more than enough - lost too many close friends & family to be able to live a good life. If she lives, she would need to rise up and exact revenge for all the things LCY has done (intentionally or not). Let hatred overcome her like it has LCY. Avenge her family/kingdom like LCY has been doing.

  7. New to this thread, coming from Legend of Dugu and YanXi and currently watching Story of Ming Lan. I'm excited about this one because of the cast, but I have to say the first few episodes almost did me in. Each drama is so different from the other that I spend a lot of time comparing one to the other. But I will stick with this one, if for no other reason than the cast.
