    What a heart wrenching episode but l m very satisfied with how it went. I actually like it! CP unequivocally puts HY in her place n YS finally realises that his love for Raon is futile so its a closure for him, I feel. Luv the bloke. Pls pls dont let him sacrifice his life to save them.

    the reunion at the end is the best thing to happen. Come what may after this, at least CP n Raon are now back on even keel. No more hidden identities. He accepts her for who she is n vice versa so whatever hardship they ll face in the coming eps, l feel assured it will not break them as a couple.

    as for the scene where both CP n Raon will likely be hauled back to the palace next week, no big deal.. there is still the White Cloud Clan to rescue her or YS to save all by revealing the truth abt the swapped baby n all his grandpa s misdeeds.

    I m pretty sure there s no sex involved in that bed scene coz she s still in her eunuch robe. If they did the deed, wldnt both of them be in their white underclothes or whatchamightcallit?

    so dont get yr expectations up, my frens. No expectation, no disappointment. Im just happy that there r some more lovey dovey scenes bet them before the heartbreaking ones come along. And l m not talking abt the wedding. Strangely, l dont mind that anymore esp since CP has made his stance clear. But l have a strange feeling that the wedding wont even happen. I think the whole rebel story and Raon's birthright story will forestall the wedding. The rebellion cld happen on the wedding night so it never really takes place. Then the heartbreak will come from the fact that they will be on opp sides of the fence n he cannot be with the daughter of a rebel.

    The good news about this is that it means she stayed on in the palace despite knowing her true identity. She din run away from CP secretly. Yay!

And BY. I'm glad that BY came right in time to save LY. LY was saved twice by two awesome friends, so I hope, with just 6 more episodes to go, we'll be seeing them three together again a lot more than this.

    I think for the past few episodes, LY has been the center of attention, but not even by much, because we still do see RO, a lot, but perhaps her purpose is different from the beginning, she's someone's lover now, so she's quietly supporting LY by giving him positive energy, which always inspires resolutions to his problems. So I wouldn't go as far to say that RO is now a supporting character. The approach in building her character has changed a bit. HOWEVER, as we see in Episode 12, the last scene ended with RO, which means, we'll be seeing her in action now, as she learns of her identity. I think now, she's going to be the one who does the protecting of our LY. Countless times, LY has placed RO's importance and well being above the throne, above him, and all else. So I would like to see if RO can meet him half way, would she and how she would go about protecting their love and LY like how he has been doing all this time. I'm sure RO will do us great justice. I'm excited to see.

    Please, someone pour some love to our YS and BY. BY. The only person he truly loves is LY, so I hope there's a good scene between them two. And yes, YS, too. I want LY to thank YS and eventually smile around each other now.

    The acting from everyone was super awesome, but I don't need to say much because I'm sure everyone was PROUD of our young cast who made DEEP impressions today.

     

    Hear! Hear! This week l m loving on YS. He has been protecting Raon from the time he met her and now also the CP. l think CP is enjoying enuf luv from everyone else so l m gonna give some love to YS. Poor guy gets nothing in return for all his quiet contributions. I def think he deserves more than a gorgeous wardrobe. Incidentally, he really does have nice outfits in this show.

    A big thank you to all the transcappers n translators. I m ever so grateful to be able to read whats going on before watching the raw ep.

    I luv ep 12. My Man of this Ep is Yoon Sung. I feel so bad for him now. Not even a visit from Raon after his heroic sacrifice to save the CP. l hope the writer writes in a love line for him somehow. Maiden dropped from the sky.. i dont care.. Just give him his own girl to love already.

    And the CP.. How can a bloke be so perfect? Tall, gorgeous, smart, skilled swordsman n archer, sensitive, romantic, brave, funny, selfless, clothes horse, macho to the max... Does he even have any flaw??? Ahhh yes, l found one - his father. Heheh. Thats the best l can think of. Sorry.. I m dad bashing again. He just annoys me with his weakness n paranoia.

    And bromance goals, man. Wish there was more air time of all 3 fighting together.. Stylo-mylo machismo.

    the ending me no like.. Sense of foreboding. If Raon does the run away from palace thingy out of guilt or to "protect" CP's life, l m so gonna fly to S.Korea n smack her. Stay n fight it out for better or worse, gal. Leaving the CP now is as good as stabbing him in the gut n l agree with some forummers here that that would be too cliche of kdramas. However, if her departure is a strategic one planned by her n CP, then ok.

    I think any separation will be necessary but temporary. Spoiler for u.. In the last minutes of the ep 11, he hinted at the future where he says to Raon to wait for him to be the kind of King who makes the world where everyone can be happy. I think this is real smart writing on the script writer s part to hint about the upcoming devts.

    note to self : be patient. All good things comes to us who wait.

    I agree. I think even if they did spend the night together, it will be told to viewers in a very subtle n classy way so that it will not upset the moral brigade. Historically, it wouldnt be a shock due to Raon's age as then girls that young are offered as concubines to the King. But the classy treatment will be more out of consideration for KYJ the young actress herself. Esp after the chest bandaging saga.

    I dont need to see them roll in the hay as it were. I ll just be happy to know that they did the deed coz thats as a good as sealing the deal for their future.

    lastly, l really really hope Yoon Sung is not killed off in ep 12 while protecting CP n Raon. I ll be devastated.

    Ep 11 preview seems like a precursor to a separation where CP realises that to protect Raon means letting her leave the palace and him. Thinking about that is heart-breaking but may be very necessary for the story devt regarding her real identity n the rebel forces. Her role n influence over that will bridge the rift with the royal family eventually, l think. It will also them to develop BY s story coz he now has to orotect both the CP inside the palace n RO outside of it. l just have a bad feeling he s the character who's life will be sacrificed. :(

    Anyhow, l m confident that it will be a happy ending so chingus, lets hope they get thru the temporary heartache n separation quickly. Thats the best we can hope for.

    Thanks for a decent reply , the other replies just are putting down my opinion cos of the other dramas I watch. Lol. 

     

    I think its more of a perception rather than the show actually starting to bore or drag because the exciting part about the "does he or does not know?" and the "will she or will she not accept him" has just been resolved after so many eps. So the thrill of the chase is now over for us as viewers n they are almost domestic in ep 10 so perhaps that s why u felt the drop in activity.

    But herein lies the ingenuity of the story writer coz she doesnt dwell on the lovey dovey bit. By end of ep 10, we see a new twist to the story - Eunuch Han s identity. That will propel the story of Ra on's identity forward n with that BY's n of course, the impact on the CP. The pace is picking up again n we ll be nail-biting come next week.

    So l think the story pacing is pretty good. If u want to know what is slow n draggy.. watch a Taiwanese drama. 20 mins spent on one crying scene alone :)

    This is the first time l ve seen a piggy backing scene where the gal s face can be so far in front that it is practically cheek to cheek with the guy's. That really was all l could think of when l saw that scene.

    and i laughed out loud at one of the comments here that said her head looked abnormally big. I really think its got to do with her head being so far forward. 

    either pbg is very strong or kyj is super light or they just have a great piggy backing technique.

Essentially with the best of intentions. Because I do feel the king loves his son. 

    I don't really agree with the king either, but by understanding the issues, it's clear solutions can be made. I assume Dasan should be working on that end of the equation. 

     

    Yes, l agree his saving grace is trying to be a good father but in saying that l also feel that a good father protects his family by standing up for them and not pushing his son to the forefront to take the hits. And a marraige of convenience at the expense of his son s happiness to ensure the royal family's survival doesnt speak of love. It speaks of self-interest too. He is just very lucky he has a super smart and principled son. So he is not in any way wise. Just blessed.

    While i suppose his character is somewhat based on history so hating on him is pointless, l cant help but dislike him as all the problems they have now are a direct result of his incompetence. His queen was prolly murdered, he married a Kim, the rebellion happened.. So he is the root of the problem in my books.

    nuthing l can do about that. Im just griping.

    Ok, l m gonna let it out. After 10 eps, l really find the King very annoying. Paranoid, incompetent n just plain a sad excuse of a leader. He is frightened of everyone! And his best solution to quell rebels who dont like the interim king? Marry him off. I mean, what the hell is that in terms of a solution?

     I have to fast forward all his parts to enjoy the rest of the show. #Just ranting..

    Actually, l dont mind not having preview. Its a long way off to Mon n the preview can be out of context n heart breaking so l d rather not know have to watch n speculate. Also if as u say, they are rushing to film, then someone pls tell them to take their time. We ll wait patiently. Dont overwork the cast, pls.

    Thank you chingus for that emotional roller-coaster ride. I went from being angry with Raon to deciding to like Jo gal back to liking Raon again. At least now l know i ll watch ep 9. Was intending to skip it. Thank you all for doing the hard work. Big hugs!

    and l ll like to send the writer a big hug too for always resolving the emo issues by the end of the ep. He/she is amazing.

I do not like the character to be so insistent in her pursuit of her love when she has been rejected twice out-rightly by CP.  If she puts her determined nature in other areas, I would have higher regards and respect for her.   But the truth is she is actually suicidal in pushing for a marriage without love.  In the end, she would be left alone most of the time and die miserable.  Actually I sympathise with people like that...they don't know they are digging a living grave for themselves, they imprison themselves for life in a marriage without love......I think it is the toughest way to pass time in the palace to live like that.

     

    To be fair, at this point, she doesnt know that he is in love with another gal so she is just pursuing her happiness with sincerity, as encouraged by Raon. So lets give her character a chance for now, shall we? I re watched her scenes n actually l think on her own she s very likeable. Its unfortunate she has to come between our OTP eventually but hey, someone's got to be that gal, right? 

    BUT I will come back to this post n rant if she turns nasty n under-handed later. ;p

    Interesting that K Will n Gummy both also sang on DoTs ost, my other fave kdrama n OTP of all time. Still shipping them.. Also coincidental that PBG n SJK r good frens n agency mates n both r enjoying great fame now. 

    Anyone else thinks the food tasting scene was so cute n sweet? Both their expressions r so adorbs. One enjoying the food albeit sheepishly n the other enjoying looking at her enjoying the food. Aarrghh.. The feels.
