At a recent Tokyo fanmeet, former F4 member Ken Zhu left legions of fans in shock after revealing that he will be dissolving his fanclub of eight years.

The 35-year-old Meteor Garden actor, who had been on a two-year hiatus, announced through tears that “he will be entering the next stage of his life” . Several of the 2000 fans at the event were visibly heartbroken, while others looked on in disbelief as Ken ended the event by reading a handwritten farewell letter to his supporters.

Ken’s manager, Summer, later explained that in between studying at the Beijing Film Academy Department of Directing and managing his jade business, Ken hardly has time to manage his fanclub, and therefore hopes that his fans will not continue spending money on him.

Summer also dismissed subsequent rumors of Ken quitting the entertainment industry, saying, “He has been rejecting job invites from last October till now and is focused on studies as well as his business. He will be back after that.”

Both Ken and his company have not discussed his marriage plans, although Summer has stated he is currently seeing someone, and that the company will support him if he gets engaged.

Taiwanese actor Ken Zhu recently revealed that he will be dissolving his official fan club, eight years after its creation.

According to China News, the actor revealed the surprising news during a fan meeting in Tokyo, saying, "I will be entering the next stage of my life", leaving his fans heartbroken.

When asked to address Ken's decision, his manager revealed that he was recently admitted into the Faculty of Directing at the Beijing Film Academy.

"Not only will he be busy studying, Ken will also be managing his jade business at the same time," said the manager.

"He already had a hard time managing his fan club, thus, Ken decided to dissolve it so that fans won't spend more money for the fan club."

In regard to his relationship, Ken's manager said that they had not discussed any marriage plans in the short run, but admitted that the F4 member is in a stable relationship at the moment.

However, his manager denied that Ken is retiring from showbiz.

I think he's making a good choice...sometimes people need to enter a new stage of life. It's good as well that he is considerate of his fans and doesn't want them to spend more money when he can't reciprocate sufficiently to their expectations.

Boyband F4's Ken Zhu hardly recognizableBoyband F4's Ken Zhu hardly recognisable

Taiwanese singer, actor and composer, Ken Zhu, is now living a low key life in Thailand. It is reported that he has been living at a temple in Chiang Mai since last year.

Khaosod reported that the former member of famous Taiwanese boyband, F4, has been reflecting on his past behaviours. He also wishes to shed the stubborn and arrogant personality of his young self through his new way of living.

The revelation came to the former star when a sudden burst of flames from a vacuum cleaner shocked Ken as he plugged in the machine to start on his chores at the temple.

With his humble attire and makeup free face, 35-year-old Ken Zhu barely bears any resemblance to the young heartthrob that used to set girls' hearts aflutter every time an F4 song played on the radio.

The former Taiwanese heartthrob now spends his day meditating and being as far away from the limelight as possible.

Last Saturday, the 35-year-old singer-actor finally admitted to a new relationship, since his separation from Taiwanese actress Kelly Lin in 2011.

Before dawn this morning, netizens uploaded two intimate pictures of Ken Zhu and his new girlfriend with a congratulatory message, 'Congratulations Ken and Xinyu, be together and love each other courageously'.

Ken's manager, however, refuted claims that the woman pictured was Chinese model-actress Jiang Xinyu, and clarified, 'The woman in the photos is Ken's ex-girlfriend who cannot be named since they have already gone separate ways.'

Ken, on the other hand, confessed to his new relationship on Saturday, although he did not reveal the identity of his girlfriend. He kept things cryptic and simply praised her for being 'a nice person,' and asked for the public to give them some 'privacy.'

This piece of news received varied reactions from netizens - some feel that Ken is dating this unnamed lady because she looked similar to Kelly and others suspect he is dating her because of her rich background.

The singer-actor, who recently announced to dissolve his fanclub, has been posting ambiguous statuses online, such as 'an uncle falling in love with a princess' and 'to become a knight to protect her,' and is, undoubtedly, in love.
