Jessica Simpson's mother holding back on store opening during divorce?

Jessica Simpson's mother Tina reportedly wants to open a clothing store featuring her daughter fashion label, but is concerned that her estranged husband may win control of it.
The 52-year-old matriarch - who is currently in the process of divorcing Joe Simpson - helped build the Jessica Simpson Collection brand and is worried it could be taken away in a settlement.

A source told RadarOnline: "Tina was looking at ways of expanding the Jessica Simpson Collection and one of her suggestions was launching a store. 
"The brand is hugely popular now, so she's confident that by opening a shop with all of Jessica's designs that will take the label one step further. But the problem is she's hugely concerned about doing anything with the fashion house if, worst case scenario, Joe wins control over it in their eventual divorce settlement."

Jessica apparently no longer speaks to her manager father after finding out that he was allegedly involved in several gay trysts.
The insider continued: "Tina has worked incredibly hard with Jessica in molding the label. It was her baby and had nothing to do with Joe.
"She doesn't want to take any chances though and is thinking long and hard about the idea."

Meanwhile, Jessica has been telling Tina that she needs to start dating again, but the protective daughter wants to check out the potential suitors first.
A source revealed: "Jessica thinks it's about time Tina started enjoying herself and has urged her to date.
"She thinks it's the best way to get over her heartbreak with Joe and she needs to get out there and meet other men. However, Jessica has told Tina that she will help her pick who she goes on dates with."
