I only like apple and pumpkin pie but I would take a good ol' piece of cake over pie any day...just not asian cakes because they are dense.

cake is to sweet for me, while pie is filled with other flavors, such as apple pie or peacon pies etc.

It depends what kind of pie and what kind of cake. lol. I'd pick cake just because I love the cake part of it? But if the pie is pecan I'm going for that.

I love pie, especially pecan pie with ice cream on top I like cake too but I prefer pie more.
