nothing, you're very brave. Especially with such an old dictionary. When I was little, we use the "bled" it was a book to learn grammar.

A difficult thing to understand in english is what "sex" has been given to things. french give sex to things a chair is female

(i don't know the word for "genre" ).

Turlutte = Pète? Moi je dirais plutôt que c'est un son de pète mais pas nécessairement un pète... Je suis sûr que ça vient d'un instrument de musique mais... on utilise ce mot pour décrire le son d'un pète... HAHAHA! En Français de France, ça veut dire... "blowjob" eh? Fellation... Ici, on utilise l'expression "faire une pipe"...

french is the nicest sounding language EVER!! i am so glad i went against everyone going "but we live in california, you will never need it" and chose the prettier language rather than boring old spanish!

it is my dream to live in paris within a few years~ i also want to learn italian and russian :>

oh, that seriously not true!! it really depends on what region of french. for the most part, Québecois french is absolutely dreadful, especially if you're talking to someone from the Lac St.Jean or Saguennay (sp??) area. their way of speaking sounds so agressive, and littered with so much slang that i find it almost impossible to understand sometimes. I had a few exchange students from france in my classes last semester and apparently the accents are different depending on whether you live in the north of france and the south of france as well. but omg... there was such a big difference between the way my friend's french and the typical Montreal french. her accent was so much more lighter and prettier... i'm so jealose xD

je dois vraiment practiquer mon français. j'ai perdu une tellement grande majorité de mon vocabulaire depuis mes années secondaire que je me considaire anglophone maintenant xD. je ne suis plus parfaitement trilingue Ça me prends trop de temps à organiser ce que je veux dire dans ma tête alors je parle prèsque strictment en englais maintenant.

I thought a lot of us were skilled enough to use the France accent... I guess I was wrong... Well I'm one of the minority who can do that then... Probably because I grew up in an international school where I was forced to speak in French of Paris. But still... I saw quite a lot of people who can mimic the French accents...

Yeah, really, as I said earlier in this thread, even Quebeckers themselves may not understand the expressions from other regions of Québec... People who moved a lot around Québec like me know how to understand and communicate with them... Awoé, amène moé donc tou les ezsti d'explessions Québékwèse! M'as toute les tladuire!

I admit, Québec French is so ugly but very very entertaining... HAHAHA!
