Skin Care Routine

Guest supermonkey

Recommended Posts

Washing my face (day & night) twice a day leaves my skin so fresh & so clean by:

(My type of skin is a combination of dry & oily)

Product use Shiseido Pureness

1. Deep cleansing foam

2. Toner (alcohol-free)

3. Moisturizer

Voila! smooth & cleared.

*If you drink green tea 3x a day, I guess it helps too. (:

i change everytime I finish a set... still trying to find my idea 3-step lol.. my previous set was Laneige Star White line

currently using:

1. Mary-Kay 3-in-1 Cleanser (also acts as a toner)

2. Mary-Kay Moisturizer

3. Daytime Solution SPF25

4. Nightime Solution (at nite)

Heyy! I'm using this exact same skin regime too! It's trial size because my sis's co-worker sells Mary Kay products. How do you like it?

Personally, I don't dig it too much--I have normal/dry skin and my skin gets pretty dry~ I have to use vaseline at night in the dry areas (around my nose, cheeks, and lip). I'm going to finish using it though just because lol :D

Prior to MK, I was using:

EUCERIN REDNESS RELIEF as my cleanser (which I really like and will go back to after I finish MK trial)

200.jpg

ALMAY TONER2 for normal/combo skin (which, at the time that I bought it, didn't realize I had dry skin)

28595_large.jpg

VASELINE JELLY for my dry skin ;) I like it even though it's greasy (but it doesn't give me acne)

Now I am using MK:

And I plan on using the Clinique 3-step system in the future (any comments?):

Step 1: Liquid facial soap

clq_6G0R_158.jpg

Step 2: Clarifying Lotion (comes with 4 different types)

clq_6121_158.jpg

and step 3: dramatically different moisturizing lotion

Anyone that uses the 3-step have comments on it? Good/bad?

Burt's Bees addict over here!

1) Wash with Burt's Bees Garden Tomato soap. Comes in a bar, cuts right through the oil on the face. Leaves it squeaky clean.

2) Burt's Bees Garden Tomato toner. Tightens pores, brightens face.

3) Burt's Bees Radiance Night/Day Creme. No oiliness no grease... just nice and clean radiance (literally!)

--> Occaisional scrub with baking soda and water because I need the light exfoliation. My face looked nice and bright after Day One and it's getting brighter and clearer every day. Literally: radiance. Brilliant. Sooo addicted to Burt's Bees stuff!

I thought I posted on a similar topic before.

cleanser: likas/cetaphil/kose junkisui

toner+ moisturizer: kose seikisho+sekkisei/ junkisui lotion and emulsion OR bio-oil

serum: kose junkisui

eye cream: oil of olay regenerist

masks: aspirin mask/ kose seikisho mask white or perfect clear gel

i made a mistake of getting the entire junkisui line cos they said it's intended for acne-prone skin. i loved sekkisei so much that i trusted it without getting samples first. it sucks terribly! after a few weeks of using it i noticed my face is oily with this oil-free line compared to NOT oil-free line sekkisei. and evecare.com , one of the online shops i frequent if something isn't available at sasa or i just don't wanna pay tax in stores, won't publish my review for this line! with sekkisei, the moisture on my face is maintained throughout the night. so when i wake up the next morning, instead of dreading at looking into the mirror, i marvel at how radiant, fresh and baby soft my face looks.

I used the clinique 3-step thing for years, but stopped about a year ago because i found that it was starting to make me break out-my body was starting to react to it differently, but don't know why. I also found that their toner was slightly harsh.

Tried tons of different brands over the years - Clinique, Shiesiedo (spelling? lol), L'Oreal, Clean and Clear, etc etc etc.

I currently use Charmzone (korean) - their Ginko line (ginko extract-based), and going to switch over to their Topnews-Miz line (water-based). The asian brands can be more pricey but i find that they're higher quality.

There's tons of skin care products out there, but I use the basic three: cleanser, toner, emulsion. When winter hits, I also use a cream. Things get way to complicated/expensive/unnecessary fast.

Overall, my one tip for people would be to use products from the same line. I've been told again and again throughout the years to always use products from the same line together because they're of the same pH balance. It just makes common sense, the products were created to work with each other. I'm not saying that if you use products from different lines, it'll definitely make you break out or whatnot, but if you have skin problems, it might be something to consider.

Iv used the clinique 3 step and i agree with the user somewhere aboce because i also found the toner very harsh, the cleanser too drying even tho mine was for sensitive skin..the moisterizer was kinda oily altho it said oil free. i did not buy these products because i jst asked the clinique ladies and they gave me 4 sets of samples and i ended up using it for 3 whole months for free and even had one pack left over so if u wana make sure u can ask for samples:)
