I'm not a Vietnamese American, though I'm a Vietnamese person born and living overseas and I'm so offended that you can hate on your own people because they work overseas to support their family.

You haven't even taken into account why a lot of people left Vietnam in the first place, it wasn't always about money, there was a war going on if I can remember correctly, I hope you know about it.

And I hope you meant Vietnamese living in the USA's unemployment rate was 80%, because that would definitely make more sense.

Wow, the stats you gave, just show me how much of an education you do have. Well here's an quick and extra lesson on the world economy for you, if the U.S really had an 80% unemployment rate, the WORLD would go down with it. Why? Because its the largest economy in the world and is one of the prime business for many countries. Oh and another thing, it did free us from poverty, my family is not starving, we have a CONSISTENT income, all my siblings have a great education. Yes, we pay for other things besides electricity and money for food, but hey, when it comes down to it, its all worth it because viet kieu are more likely to make more money and be more successful then those living in VN. And one last thing, you said that you don't have to worry about poverty over there, I know people who are suffering tremendously over there. They have to worry each day about money and getting food, and my mom has to send money over there to help people. So maybe you're some rich kid living a better life then those, but please, don't apply your views on the way things are to everybody else that are less unfortunate then you...Stop being so ignorant, its quite embarrassing to other Vietnamese people.
