On the September 5 broadcast of KBS′ Entertainment Relay, the stars of The Throne, Song Kang Ho, Jeon Hye Jin, Moon Geun Young and Yoo Ah In, sat down for an interview ahead of the film′s release.
 

During the broadcast, the onscreen couples, Song Kang Ho and Jeon Hye Jin, Yoo Ah In and Moon Geun Young, were divided into teams to test their chemistry as a couple.


Song Kang Ho and Jeon Hye Jin answered two of the five questions the same, as Yoo Ah In and Moon Geun Young appeared confident, shouting "Fighting" before their turn.


However, when asked to choose between ′dipping sweet and sour pork vs. pouring over sweet and sour pork′ and ′tteokbokki vs. sundae,′ Yoo Ah In and Moon Geun Young answered differently. When asked to choose between ′beer vs. soju,′ they both chose beer, as smiles spread across their faces. However, when they were asked to choose between ′work vs. love′ and ′cash vs. flowers,′ the two stars answered differently again, ultimately losing to Song Kang Ho and Jeon Hye Jin.


Moon Geun Young then said, "These days, I want to work really hard. I like cash better than a bouquet of flowers."

Moon Geun-young features in Allure

 

 

Fashion magazine Allure released a photo of actress Moon Geun-young Saturday on Instagram, with a caption reading: “29-year-old Moon Geun-young, who has become more beautiful and sophisticated.”

The actress sported a dress with a plunging neckline, exuding her sexy charms. Her misty eyes and pale skin also created a dreamy ambience.

Moon is set to return to the silver screen with the film “The Throne,” based on the historical event of King Yeongjo of the Joseon era executing his son Sado by locking him in a rice chest for eight days.

In the film, Moon plays Queen Hyegyeong, wife of crown prince Sado. The queen avoids her husband in order to protect her son. The period flick is set to open in domestic theaters on Sept. 16.

Want to but hesitating to ship them...but they really look so at ease together...and we've all been following Moonie all these years...hmmm...I don't follow YAI and wondered (after seeing all vids and photos of him and MGY) he's like all beaming and touchy  when with Moonie...heehee

yeah.. too bad the timing was off. having an idea of MGY's character, even if attracted, she will not even try to encourage any development. They were very cute though. And it was very endearing how YAI acts in front of her. Having a deep story in his eyes was very apt. and I'm liking that side of him. But who knows, maybe someday?

The Village: Achiara's Secret" script reading

The script reading for "The Village: Achiara's Secret" was held on the 4th with Moon Geun-young, Yook Seong-jae, On Joo-wan, Jang Hee-jin, Sin Eun-kyeong, Kim Yong-rim, Jeong Seong-mo, Kim Min-jae, Jang So-yeon, Choi Jae-woong, Ryoo Tae-ho, Park Eun-seok, Ahn Seo-hyeon and 20 others. Writer Do Hyeon-jeong and producer Lee Yong Suk were also there.

Director Lee Yong Suk made a speech saying, "I want all the viewers to think that there was a hint here and make them think like they've missed it". The cast and staff arrived prior to the promised time and had said their hellos.

Moon Geun-young plays Han So-yoon, the person who discovers bodies in the Village of Achiara and stands in the middle of the case. During break Moon Geun-young sat next to Do Hyeon-kyeong and asked her everything she wanted.

Yook Seong-jae in the role of Park Woo-jae, a policeman who digs for the secret of the village did a good job as well. The rest of the cast that day did an outstanding job and made the producer proud as he had boasted that he brought together only the best from Chungmuro.

What heated up the session the most, was the identity of the criminal who had made it so that the dead bodies were discovered. Everyone's eyes sparkled at Lee Yong Suk's hint of the criminal as no one knew who it was and everyone gathered around during break to guess who the criminal might be.

All the members of the cast stayed back to ask questions and discuss their lines with the writer and director after the session.

The peaceful Village of Achiara which was thought to be ordinary turns things around when old and dead bodies buried alive are found. "The Village: Achiara's Secret" is written by Do Hyeon-jeong and directed by Lee Yong Suk.

Yoo Ah In Compliments “Sado” Co-Stars So Ji Sub and Moon Geun Young

Actor Yoo Ah In recently sat down at a cafe in Seoul for an interview to talk about his upcoming movie “Sado.”

As he’s being asked about his co-stars he states, “Moon Geun Young is so easy to get along with. She’s very bright and positive. She talks about the film a lot and texts me often. She seems very determined to do a great job.”

About So Ji Sub who plays his son King Jeongjo, “He plays my son, yet he’s so much more handsome than his father. I’m quite impressed. I’m grateful he makes a much better son compared to his father.”

The movie “Sado” portrays King Yeongjo who always had to be a stern king rather than a father and Crown Prince Sado who just wanted to be a son rather than a prince. It’s a historical and tragic story of family struggles. The movie is directed by Lee Joon Ik and also stars Song Kang Ho, Kim Hae Sook, and Jun Hye Jin.

Yoo Ah In is expected to show a memorable performance as he takes the role of Crown Prince Sado. He will portray the mental instability of the Crown Prince while being trapped inside a wooden rice chest for eight days as well as focusing on the prince’s relationship with his father King Yeongjo. Great performances are expected as he will be acting alongside Song Kang Ho who plays his father King Yeongjo.

The movie “Sado” will open on September 16 in Korea.

Yoo Ah In had nothing but praise for his 'The Throne' co-star Moon Geun Young. 

At a recent interview he held for the upcoming film, Yoo Ah In said, "It's the first time we've acted together, but I noticed she's very sociable and very bright. She's an actress with an overflowing healthy energy." He added, "We've shared a lot of talk about the film, but she's someone who really wants to do her best with acting. She's a passionate actress who's pretty as well as a pretty sunbaenim."

'The Throne' ('Sado') is an upcoming South Korean historical film about Crown Prince Sado, who was deemed unfit to rule and was condemned to death in a rice chest by his own father where he suffocated after 8 days. It's scheduled to hit theaters on September 16.
