At the conference in Dalian WG talked about things they like to eat. Here are rough translations of it from the article.

Although they spend much time outdoors for work, Wonder Girls from time to time will prepare their own Korean meals. Sunye’s cooking is the best, she frequently cooks for the other members to eat. No matter what is prepared, she likes to put a few pieces of rice cake in her meal. During overseas activities Yubin enjoys to eat seaweed because it is convenient to carry around. Yeeun has a soft spot for foods that are good for the throat such as red ginseng and pear juice. Hyerim likes to eat kimchi, which is essential in every meal. Sohee likes to eat spicy food, she said that it can help ease the pressure.

自从凭借《Nobody》一曲爆红后，韩国人气组合Wonder Girls迅速成为全亚洲少男少女的心中偶像。前晚，作为韩国某品牌农产品形象大使的Wonder Girls来到大连推广健康饮食。在接受媒体群访时，队长闵先艺表示，以她们的成长经历为原型的TV电影《Wondergirls at the Apollo》将于下个月正式投入拍摄，并在明年第一季度在美国电视台首播，总共将播放6次。担任本片导演的正是美国歌坛天后玛莉亚·凯丽的丈夫尼克·坎农，因此该片在美国娱乐界引起了不小轰动。亚洲歌手作为美国电影的主演，在美国历史上尚属首次，这也使得美国业界对电影和Wonder Girls的表现予以了高度关注。第一次来到大连的Wonder Girls的五位成员，听说大连有很多她们的粉丝，兴奋地表示希望有一天能来大连举办一场个唱。 记者齐书勤

원더걸스, 농식품 수출 홍보대사 위촉

인기 걸그룹 원더걸스가 2011년 농식품 수출 홍보대사로 위촉돼 우리 식품의 맛과 우수성을 해외에 알리는 데 앞장선다고 농림수산식품부가 5일 밝혔다.

농림수산식품부(장관 : 서규용)는 오는 6일 과천 농림수산식품부 대회의실에서 위촉식을 갖고, 앞으로 해외 프로모션에 활용될 ‘홍보 슬로건’과 1년간의 활동 계획을 공개할 예정이다. 

활동기간은 2011년 9월부터 2012년 9월까지다.

홍보 슬로건은 ‘Smart Choice! Global K-food!’로 신선하고 건강에 좋은 우리 식품을 세계인들 스스로 식탁에 올리는 현명한 선택을 할 수 있도록 열풍을 일으키자는 의미가 담겨 있다.

원더걸스는 홍보대사 위촉과 함께 일본, 중국과 싱가포르·말레이시아·베트남 등 동남아 지역의 많은 팬들을 대상으로 ‘Smart Choice! Global K-food!’를 주제로 홍보 캠페인송을 제작해 전파한다.

이들 지역에서 현지 기자단을 대상으로 시음시식 및 홍보 인터뷰 활동을 수행할 예정이다.

원더걸스는 농식품 수출 유망 품목을 멤버별로 선정해 중점적으로 알림으로써 홍보효과를 높일 계획이다. 

원더걸스의 멤버별 중점 홍보 품목은 예은(파프리카), 소희(딸기), 선예(사과), 유빈(장미), 혜림(유자)이다.

서규용 장관은 원더걸스의 홍보대사 수락에 감사의 인사를 전하고, “최근 한류의 역량이 재평가되면서 우리 농식품의 수출 확대를 위해선 한류스타를 활용한 마케팅이 필요하다”며 “원더걸스는 아시아뿐만 아니라 미국, 유럽에까지 많은 팬들을 확보한 대표적인 한류스타로서 건강한 아름다움과 다양한 재능을 갖고 있어 우리 농식품을 해외에 알리는 홍보대사로서 가장 적격”이라고 말했다. 

원더걸스는 “농식품 수출 홍보대사에 위촉돼 영광으로 생각한다”며 “앞으로 해외 팬들에게 우리 농식품의 맛과 멋을 알리는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 다짐했다.

• Yubin likes to eat Samgyetang(Ginseng chicken soup) and seaweed.
  
• Yeeun likes pear juice and ginseng
  
• Sunye likes ddeok thus she puts it on every dish she eats or make
  
• Sohee likes dishes with a lot of Gochujang(hot pepper paste). She likes spicy foods that makes her relieve her stress.
  
• Hyerim likes Kimchi =)
  
• Sohee recommends citron tea for protecting vocals and the immune system.
  
• Yeeun mentioned that they are in the midst of preparing the food campaign's song. She said that it will be cheerful song like So Hot and they're hoping to introduce a lot of korean food through it.

Wonder Girls Named Honorary Ambassador for Korean Food

On September 5, the Korean Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries announced that Wonder Girls are appointed as the new ambassador of Korean food. The Ministry hopes that Wonder Girls will help make the taste and the brilliance of Korean food more well-known in foreign countries.

The Korean Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries will meet on September 6 to discuss the plans for food promotion outside of Korea. They will also be revealing their new plan for the promotion and the new slogan for the upcoming year.

The Ministry intends to begin the campaign on September 2011 and will go on to conclude in September 2012. The new slogan "Smart Choice! Global K-food!" advocates the idea of helping foreigners eat fresh and healthy Korean food by guiding them in making smart food choices.

Wonder Girls will publicly help start the promotion campaign in Japan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and many other countries in East Asia. Solely for this campaign, the Wonder Girls came up with a song that they hope will attract many of their fans.

Taste tests and multiple press interviews with the Wonder Girls will be made throughout the campaign period.

To give the campaign more recall, each Wonder Girl has been assigned a key food item to promote. Yeeun's is paprika; Sohee's is strawberry; Sunye's is apple; Yoobin's is rose and Hyelim's is citron.

The main representative of the Korean Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, Seo Kyu Yong,

thanked Wonder Girls for agreeing to help them out with the promotion and said, "Due to the flourishing Korean

Wave, our Ministry needs support from a leading K-Pop group to make this marketing succesful. Wonder Girls

is a beautiful and talented group that already has many fans not only in Asia, but also in the US and

Europe which definitely will help us triumph globally."

In return, Wonder Girls stated, "It is an honor to help with this promotion. We will do our best to help make

our country's taste and brilliance well-known all over the world."

Nice to hear that 'Nobody' has charted in the TOP20 of all three charts for nearly 2 years (since early 2010, when they released the Chinese version of Nobody). I think the record for Wonder Girls' 'Nobody' on the weekly chart was No.1 for 55 consecutive weeks.
