Guest Tranberry
House Rules by Jodi Picoult. I kind of cheated though and read the last few pages when I was only 1/4 into the book...I'm still reading it though. I have mixed feelings about it. I don't think I am really a fan of Picoult's writing style.
Guest Stolen_waters
I've just finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. It's better than I expected. I really enjoyed reading it, and I can't wait to read the sequel, but right now, I'm reading Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon.
Guest Leopoldine
There were a ton of copies of 1984 at my library. Hmm... not really a rare book. But anyways, it is quite good. For me, it was painfully boring for 200 pages, and then it had an amazing, mind-boggling ending. The last 100 pages are worth it. Oww. I'm from France and it's hard to find books in English. There are some english book stores (like whsmith) here but it's too far from home. >.< But anyway, I finished reading it and it's a terrifying book. I found it interesting from the beginning. Wasn't hard to immerse myself in it.. I'm reading North & South by Elizabeth Gaskell now. I'm pretty excited since I saw the BBC drama adaptation

cutiek028
Have turned into the realm of romantic books these days. I'm currently reading Everlasting which is quite good. But before that I went through a few that fell flat. Including: Playboy Boss, Pregnancy of Passion (lololol) The Wonderful Dream (if you want to read a story where each sentence the heroine says has ... ... every three words, read this!) The Dark Prince ("his voice was hot velvet seduction" was used once every four pages!) The Convenient Bride ("cute" little kids and their mispronunciation of words, like feckles instead of freckles, was used many many times -____- even by the grown ups. *gag*) Nothing Personal (nothing worth remembering either) I'm so glad to finally be reading a decent book like Everlasting!!! Guest KimsBum
Reading Emma and Ender's Game. After reading about the atrociously bland Fanny Price in Mansfield Park, I find Emma to be utterly delightful. Yes, she can be super annoying, but at least she has a personality.
