EOE never lost it's viewers...EOE fans have been sticking around for this drama ever since August of 2008...why would they switched to view a different drama now?? especially when the story is at its core plot...

BOF has been getting new viewership for their drama and that makes more sense...

That is so true....we all EOE fans have been with it since August 2008...and loving it....i am a DC-YR shipper so i'm wishing they'd get a happy ending....but...kinda scared for DC's life....and i truly hope the writer's don't kill DC off at the end of the drama...this drama is sad enuff...hope they end it at a high and happier note...all the poor sad people in EOE deserve a happy ending

^ thanks for the information on the summary of the rating for EOE. Seem that EOE is losing its rating percentage each week. This to MBC is a very worry sign.Consider the amount of money they poured into this drama compared to others like BOF. To date they are having deficit amount for each episode aired even at this rating .What this means is MBC is losing its share of the advertising $ to other dramas like BOF .BOF has captured that group of viewers. Now MBC has to focus on the other group, maybe the older age group.It just cannot bring it up to its glory days of high 30s. With My destiny out of the way, it should be able to but it is not.... Since PHJ is the one who pilot the highest rating, it would be wise for the pd team to consider this point even though many other cast members also have the effort. In my personal view, the pd should focus more on the DW and MH plot and develop from there.LMS and the verteran actors should be in focus too since they keep the rating even with strong competition from BOF.All in they should develop the post baby switch plot more in details.This is just 2 cents my personal view.

why shin tae hwan's wife acted so cold right after she found out MH is not her real son. come on, a person you raised for all his life, she doesnot have to chase after her real son too fast. look at dongchul's mother who still loves doong-wook very much, to the point she gets ill. a mother has to be like that.

MBC East of Eden No.1 position was left intact yesterday as they edged out KBS Boys Before Flowers and dominating for the 19th consecutive week.

In the latest ratings chart released by TNS Media today, East of Eden achieved 26.5% yesterday, an increase of 1.4 percentage points from the previous episode and enabled it to maintain its stranglehold for the 19th week in a row. Boys Before Flowers kept its second position with the same rating of 24.8%, the same as the day before and for the first time since its 1st episode, there was no rating increase but it’s not naturally a bad thing at this moment.

JH isn't stupid, in fact she's a very sophisticated woman in the drama...

JH isn't really a gold digger...she had a lot of reasons to be succesful in life (living from a life of poverty when she was young), but there are a few reasons that are really the driving force of her motivation to stay and be an active participant to be a loyal SHIN...

1. Tae Ho

2. to make sure YCH will not ever look down on her again

I feel most pity for Shin Myung-hoon, feel so sad and sorry for him. So far it seems no one is on his side, and no truly loves him besides Tae Ho and perhaps his mom who raised him.

I hope he has a happy ending, regarding DW i feel bad for him too, but not too bad compared to MH. At least he is surrounded by a loving family!

Just watched Ep 41 & first opening of 42 ( still waiting on Viikkii to sub the rest) but I must say OMG!!! The intensity & emotions within the 2 episodes alone are teeth & finger cringing enough to keep viewers on their toes throughout the both episodes. EOE is getting really intense now whooo!... aahhh!! the "dong chul apachi!" cries are back! lol.... ... Poor DW, he feels like dieing now... MH yet again pitiful as ever! I like the direction this show is finally going! Whew...and I thought the love stories would never die out & drag on as it has so far cuasing LDH's HR character to not even matter no more. But yeah Im so anxious to see how this all will play out. My guts telling me there will have to be tradegy amongst the main cast in order for all this to settle out.

I think DW is the most pityful character, he is the one who try to catch his own father, his real father was the one he hated since he was young, the one made his family suffered ever since he was young...he is a righteous guy, a prosecutor who catches bad people and now realised that who his father was, he even said to his bro bad blood run in him he will kill himself,

MH is not that pityful compare to DW...at least he is not trying to catch his own father, at least his real father was the one he respected, it didnt say it out but he is readily accept the Lee family...he didnt said it out but when they were young he envied DC and DW that tells it. Whether as DW is NOT that readily accept Shin Tae Kwan ....

I agree with u. He had to suffer a painful life since he was young. Seeing him crying when he found out the truth, it made me cry too. His acting was good!

I also hope DW won't turn bad after this truth. I hope his relationship with Dong Chul and his mother won't be changed.

Even if DW is not the real son, would the love from the Lees ever lessen? MH may never even get as much love from them. He thinks JH always loved DW, he lost to DW already with regards to JH's love... now the Lees even if he's the real son? While DW's father is evil, he is alive... the family that raised him showered him with everything they have to offer. MH was loved by OYH and Pres Oh, but we've all seen how he was treated by STH. Although on opposing sides, DW even got the compliments from STH that MH was striving so hard for. STH said "You are just like me... blah blah blah.." Then to make matters worse, STH is actually the man who got MH's real dad killed? I'm not saying MH is much more tragic, it' s just both of them are. But that's only my view anyway.

BTW, YJH totally rocked this episode. Why the heck would PD ever minimize his character for so long? I want more and more of YJH, can we please relive the triangle? I wanna see him have MH taste his own medicine.
