Pls where can I get the novel with English translation from yo hua perspective?

There isn't a novel that's from Yehua's perspective. The only thing available that's from Yehua's perspective is  of how they fell in love and is a special episode/epilogue at the end of the novel. There's a link to the scribd copy of the book on this thread and there is a kindle edition available for free under the title, to the Sky Kingdom.

@valerierose, Of course, its awfully poor quality vids, but I found two separate clips showing part of what appears to be essentially the same scene.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btt2bdyL7vw  (around 1:25)

    and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5hnzGDww5M&feature=youtu.be (around 2:30)

i also found this clip, which i'm assuming is SJ's attempt at manipulating Mommy YH and trying to make BQ look bad: http://www.iqiyi.com/w_19ru9z9ph9.html#vfrm=2-3-0-1http://www.iqiyi.com/w_19rudwyunh.html#vfrm=2-3-0-1

THANK you for helping a girl out. It's fun sometimes, making dialogue up in my head as I watch it sub-less, but I also like knowing what's going on. heh.

I can't watch the iqiyi videos for some reason so I can't comment on them but for the youtube videos,

For the youtube videos, the audio is a bit unclear so I can't make out 100% what they're saying and some of what they say is too complex for my ABC ears so I can't give you a perfect translation but I think I've gotten the general gist of everything.

The first clip is actually the mother talking about the marriage, or more specifically moving the wedding date up and to follow the traditions of Nine Heavens rather than Bai Qian's Fox Tribe (I think). There might be something about changing the wedding location. They talk about how Bai Qian had already visited Yehua at Nine Heavens twice and seems like she has no inclination to stop. Ah Li comments on Bai Qian's frequent visits and her time with Yehua and that's a reason for why moving up the wedding may be a good thing. Yehua is grinning in the background so I'm 100% sure it's a good thing lol.

Second clip is indeed about the tea. The audio doesn't match up with the video but Sujin (I think) tells the mother that she saw Bai Qian put something into Yehua's tea. Mother tries to get confirmation but notes that Bai Qian's position and standing with Donhua (I think) means that they can't offend her. It then cuts to the mother telling Yehua not to drink the tea but Yehua tells her directly that the tea was from Bai Qian is loaded with good stuff actually.

so i was watching one of the preview clips, and there is a scene where basically BQ is standing in front of YH's mother, and nasty SJ, presumably getting called to task for adding herbs to the tea (which if i remember correctly from the novel, she did to help YH heal himself after losing his arm).  Looks like SJ bribed one of the maids to spy on BQ for her, ugh, but i had a question: why does BQ look so timid in front of YH's mother?  I mean, i know, ok, technically it's her mother in law, but isn't BQ supposed to be a goddess? and thus, outranks his mother and SJ? so why does she look and sound so darn timid??  I can't understand a word of what is being said without subs, but based on body language and tone -- she sounds like she is so hesitant to speak her mind, which is frustrating.

i want her to verbally smack down (possibly physically in SJ's case), every single person who treated her poorly or looked down on her when she was in Heaven as SuSu.   I want a goddess backbone and sassy attitude!!

Do you mind telling me what preview clip this is? If memory serves correctly, the event that you mention does not happen until near the end of the book. I can probably help with making sense of the clip if you share the clip :)

    Spoiler

I also don't think that YH's mother even meets BQ until YH "dies" and by then SJ has been punished so there's no chance of the two of them ganging up on BQ.

  4. Can I just say that Mark is such a a phenomenal actor? I never thought that I'd cry tears of sadness and joy for him in the spam of 80 or so minutes; the longing, the hope, the never ending love. It's too much! I want to get off this rollercoaster of emotions.

    Spoiler

SuSu once asked him for 10 miles of peach blossom trees (hence the name). I always assumed that he had used magic to plant the peach blossoms but to see him do everything by hand tugged on my heart strings.

Ah Li is tots adorable too and I would totally swap my nephew for him LOL. Jkays but not really.

I'm looking forward to the next 2 episodes which has my favorite scene in the novel. I can't believe that I've gotten to like this drama so much that I'm actually watching it everyday as soon as it gets uploaded! it's actually helped my sleep schedule lol. The power of love

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you!

Guys! I just realised that Bai Qian didn't know that she was engaged to Ye Hua! From what she knows, she is still engaged to the second prince and she doesn't know about her maid's betrayal. She met them as Su Su but I don't think she remembers.

That's why she wanted the medicine to forget I think. I don't know how it is in the book, but the TV version seems to have deviated from that. Because the novel Su Su believed that Ye Hua did not love her at all (since he ignored her all these years) but TV Su Su kinda knew how well Ye Hua treated her. She wanted the medicine because the pain of losing her eyes by the hand of someone you loved was too painful.

It seems like too many episodes ago at this point but I think that Bai Qian still knows that she is engaged to Yehua; the whole engagement breaking and subsequent engagement to Yehua took place before she became SuSu. She took the pill to forget her experience with Yehua, not necessarily the whole second prince thing. If anything, she didn't really know the second prince at all.

  6. @thundergirl3: Aww thank you

@Maria Brimstone: They don't clarify in the book but I always assumed that he was full immortal. Bai Qian didn't lose her divinity; the Demon Lord/King (?) had sealed her identity but her divinity was still in those genes lol. They're just cloaked for her and for those who are around her.

I have to say that I'm not the greatest fan of Yang Mi's acting in this drama. IMO, she's the weakest link, especially when shes sharing the scene with more seasoned actors. There are moments where she shines but at other times, I cringe at the acting. It just doesn't come across as authentic, almost as if she was still holding back. But maybe it's because I've read the novel so many times already that my expectations are way too high. She is definitely improving episode by episode though; she's been on her A Game these last 2 episodes. Either way, who am I to judge her? She's heaps better than I would ever be.

I'm so excited! The story is now going to officially get started! My favorite scene is coming up ^_^

why is so sad this drama .. i like more in the firsts episodes ... now look too sad ...and different from the other dramas ...i hope will be much better in next eps ...i hope for a happy end :((((((((

Don't worry :) All relationships will have difficult times and Bai Qian and Ye Hua are no different. Since they're immortal deities, their love trials are a lot harder, no? That's only fair! Sometimes, we have to lose it all to appreciate what we have in front of us. Our lovely couple have lots of happy time in front of them and a lot of steamy time if you know what I mean .

    Spoiler

After the jump, there's really only one more truly sad part. There is a happy ending immediately afterwards.

@insanity29: Yehua fell in love with SuSu gradually after experiencing how kind and innocent she was. If there is one turning point though, I'd say it was when she brought him to the bed (in snake/dragon form) to sleep next to her. That was when he began to have positive feelings for her instead of just seeing her as a foolish mortal. He trusted her and like he said, nobody in Heaven would dare to sleep next to him. I think he approached love territory when SuSu was attacked by the fortune teller and when she replaced him with a magpie. It feels like that was when he realized that he couldn't lose her. As Crown Prince, he was surrounded by trickery and people who would use him for his position. SuSu treated him well, held him close to her, for no other reason that because she liked his company. He was able to put down his guard and stop being the cold stoic Crown Prince with too much responsibilities on his shoulder when he was with her.

Yehua is a complicated character but if there is one thing that cannot be overstated, it is that he truly loved Su Su. Without subtitles, it's kind of hard to grasp the entire situation but the only way that Yehua could save SuSu's life was to do what he did. I'd say that the drama is doing a whole lot better of a job at the nuances than the novel did.

    Spoiler

His grandfather could not afford Yehua to have SuSu in his life. Peace with Bai Qian's Fox Tribe was at stake and the only thing that held that alliance was an engagement with Bai Qian after the second prince broke off their engagement to be with her maid. What woman would be okay with someone who bore her husband a child already? Alas, things are never what it seems.

It's important to note that his grandfather wanted SuSu's life. That day Sujin framed her, she had been not only been forced to give her eyes to Sujin but was also sentenced to lightning strikes which would have killed her had Yehua not offered himself as tribune. Removing SuSu's eyes would protect her for the time being and show his grandfather that he didn't have as deep of feelings as he had. The lightning strike punishments and his near fatal blow before during the fight made him incredibly weak but in order to protect SuSu, he chose to officially get crowned as Crown Prince. As part of that process, he needs to experience lightening bolts. You can see just how damaging that was to his body when he started to spit out blood. But he soldiered on, even subjecting himself to another round of lightning torture, because the faster he became Crown Prince, the faster he'll be able to protect SuSu. During all this, he kept it all to himself because he didn't want to worry SuSu.

If that isn't enough suffering I don't know what is lol. Keep in mind going into the next episode that Zhu Tian terrace is fatal for mortals but will cause great damage to immortals. They may lose their powers and if they were weakened enough, their lives.

Can someone clarify how Su Jin became Ye Hua's concubine when she was already the king's concubine? Was it because they didn't consummate? It's still weird how they can just 'transfer' like that. Concubine in this context also means mistress right? They aren't actually married by law aye?

Sujin was actually someone who was taken in by the Emperor and bestowed the title "Princess" after her parents died. When Sujin became the emperor's concubine, it was solely a platonic gesture; they never consummated the marriage. Ultimately, i think she became Ye Hua's concubine as retribution and because she wanted it. The novel never went into detail about this; it just kind of happens. I assume that's the case for the drama as well. I mean, the Emperor can do whatever he wants, he's the Emperor.

As I am still avoiding watching Ep 22-23, I am watching right from the start again lol

Anyway, I wondered why the heaven people don't recognize Su Su. I thought before, well cos they never met her before, but while rewatching, when Bai Qian was Si Yin, she met the 3rd prince (Yehua's uncle) when Mo Yuan took her to Jiuchongtian and eldest prince (Yehua's dad) during the battle where Mo Yuan died.

These two met Su Su, why oh why they don't recognize Si Yin, or maybe cos they are thinking Si Yin was male, so they are not thinking at all? Well Li Jing recognized her!!

Sorry I know it follows a novel, but my analytical mind is trying in vain to help the helpless Su Su!

Edit: Also Yehua's Mum, she met Si Yin at Kun Lu Xu.

Outside of Bai Qian's immediate family, I believe everyone still thinks she's still recuperating. They don't know that she's actually missing or that she is Si Yin. Even when others who know her and can recognize her (like her disciple brother, Die Feng and former love interest, Li Jing, both of whom have been actively looking for her), they see her as merely a mortal who has a resemblance to Si Yin. Bai Qian's own niece, FengJiu, treats her like a mortal. It's not that they don't recognize her, it's that she gives off that mortal vibe.

Yes, it seems the live version is different from what that is put online. In the live version, I have already seen Su Jin lie to SS and even to the extent of Dong Hua punishing Su Jin for hurting Feng Jiu. But when I watch it again just now using another source (Youku) the video stopped at before Su Jin lied to SS. I'm not sure why there is such a big difference

Just realised that Croton did not even put up episode 23 on YouTube. I always thought that their version is taken from Dong Fang Wei Shi but it seems like they have their own version as well.

That would explain it! I've been watching from Youku and Croton so I was so confused LOL. I wish they would just end and start at the same points but who knows? Maybe different episode time allowance or ad. placement?

Either way, there's 2 episodes released everyday so I don't feel like I'm missing out too much. I'm definitely looking forward to tomorrow's episodes now.

Hey everyone! I'm new here! :)

i was waiting for this series to be subbed :) so i wanna start this series.

can anyone be kind and tell me a short summary of the series? Is it romantic?

I'm looking for a new romantic cdrama to watch . From what I've seen this one is romantic :)

    It's very romantic :D

I actually started to type a summary but then realized that it might be better if I just provided you with a link to the summary that got me hooked on the story in the first place here. There's tiny bits of jealousy and angst involved but mostly, it's just fluff. The main lead, Ye Hua never stops loving the main character, Bai Qian and would sacrifice everything for her.

Just watched part of it live (connection real bad). SS eyes gone today and went into labour at the end of the episode so Ah Li will be born tomorrow. I think it is also likely that she will jump tomorrow although they did not show it in the preview. You will need tissue paper for today's episodes as well :bawling:

    Spoiler

Is the live version different from whats on Le TV and on Youtube? Because this episode did not show her going into labor. I assume that  episode 24 and 25 will show the divide and SuSu's distrust in Yehua and the latter's official role as Crown Prince. The preview already shows that Susu trembles and withdraws her hand from Yehua in fear. We haven't even see when Sujin lies to SuSu. I assume that she'll go into labor at the end of episode 25, then jump in 26.

  12. I kept wondering why Mark Chao looked so familiar and now I finally figured it out! A few years ago, he was in the movie Monga (if you're a fan of Ethan Juan, it's worth a watch! Dark but really shows you how good an actor Mark is) and parts of it was filmed in my grandparent's neighborhood. My grandparents actually got to meet the cast though and even have a picture with Mark! This doesn't have anything to do with this drama but I just think it's a crazy coincidence lol.

Anyhow, he's portraying YH flawlessly. The teaser where he removes SuSu's eyes had me in tears :bawling:. You can see the pain and regret in his eyes and just how much doing this is killing him. That said, I love scenes like this. I don't know. is it me just me who loves angst filled scenes like this? Between the eye removal and the jumping scene, I don't know which one I'm looking forward to more. It's a guilty pleasure to see the MC and ML suffer.

War veterans suffering through PTSD go through this. When bad memories return to recover from them

The present becomes confusing. You actually can even be mean to people you have been around recently. Everyone becomes a stranger

I hope she isn't too mean to the kids. Remember people she didn't win all those cases without a back story. trauma victims this is their biggest struggle

Even to embrace them when all their memories return to help them heal. someone they liked 3 weeks ago, guess what the whole world is red to them with the bad memories and the feeling's are back. They might become mistrustful of t

There are now two sets of people in one person. Which is she going to feed. Well that depends on  her and how they all react to her, the full her didn't really like kids

she was a  workaholic. she might struggle and hurt their feelings. Remember when she met her twin. She said it. I modeled everything they said you are.See if the real Hk didn't like bananas for example. That feeling will  return too. But i have hope.

She will either pick JE in the end or noone. She has to date BR to confirm she doesn't have feeling for him. It's gratitude not love. So I suggest buy two remotes. Sit a bit away from your laptop's when watching. Your electronics might not recover before we make it to 50.

it would have made so much more sense if the writers went the PTSD route. But, I don't think that what HK is going through is PTSD. PTSD  presents itself like anxiety and unless the condition is super severe, the patients don't loose grasp of reality outside of when recall occurs. When they're experiencing the bad memories, they literally can't escape from the bad memories. But, in general, the present is the present and you still recognize everyone. Sometimes, they do get irrational and mean but that's just a coping mechanism. HK does show avoidance of things that remind her of her daughter but shows no evidence of intrusive thoughts. Honestly, I feel like she avoided PTSD by trying to forget her daughter's death and pushing  herself towards her work. Obviously, that wasn't a good idea. Hopefully, the kids will show her her real side.

  14. Long time lurker and first time commenter. I'm not 100% certain on the science (kind of sad since i have a degree in neuroscience) but I'm fairly confident that even if HK found out about her daughter's death, retrograde amnesia just doesn't work like that. while it is indeed recent events that are most viable to be forgotten, HK was able to recall everything about her past. If the amnesia was triggered by the shock, her brain would have attempted to protect her by not recalling how she remembered everything and certainly not 4 years of relative calm and happiness. it's usually traumatic events that are erased. it would make far more sense for HK to be pretending to have forgotten the last four years. that would give her more control over her life and it would serve to protect the Baek family. If you think about it, HK had exposed herself to her ex-husband and even told him that she loved him for the first time. not exactly something you'd be happy about doing right before finding out about him cheating.  anyhow, this is a kdrama and writernim is queen.

Anyways, I want JE to suffer because the way he treated HK was just cruel. I was definitely cheering on HK 2 because girl can definitely work it! My heart breaks for BS and the Baek family though :( BS so doesn't deserve all this. All I want is for him to be happy with his dream girl. IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK FOR?!
