'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’ Cast & News: Korean Actor Lee Joon-Gi Joins Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter as Umbrella Corporation’s Commander Lee
This is from yesterday. It's pretty much like the rest, except this part:
The official synopsis of "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" reveals the new installment will pick up right after the events in the last film, "Resident Evil: Retribution." Alice will return to Raccoon City, where the enemy is preparing to wipe out humanity. Together with her friends and an unlikely accomplice, she will fight the Umbrella Corporation to prevent the total extinction of the human race.
Could JG be the unlikely accomplice, please? He can help them from within.

(ok, now I feel like a moles stalker).That's what I thought when I saw him in AATM. I love those moles too, especially the one on his left cheek.

Am I the only one who doesn't want JG to play a villain? I'm so happy for him, but I want him to be the good guy. I already said I'm always on the good guy's side. Should I make an exception?
I hope he eventually turns to the good side, just like @leesopark16 said.I too think his kiss scenes are not bad but in terms of chemistry flow with his costar, I felt the best kiss scenes he has was with Nam Sang Mi be it in TBDAW or GIJ as Nam Sang
Agree, I said it already but his hottest kiss scene is definitely the last one in TBDAW. Nam Sang Mi was surpringly very cooperative (I think it was probably by the director request though). Maybe she makes an exception for the last kiss scene in their drama, like in Joseon Gunman where she finally moved her lips a bit ^^
Sorry to cut your posts. Totally agree, especially in TBDAW. And to think they didn't even seem to like each other back then!

If I remember correctly, his army mates talked about how his things were always arranged neatly and in order, and how he was good at cleaning. And one of his mate said his superior always compared him (is it Kim Ji Suk ?) to JG, and it was burdensome to him because JG always did the chores well and seriously. Something like that ^^

Faith has a more interesting story, because after Junki left to the army Kang Ji Hwan has begun filming and promoting the drama but the role finally went to LMH. I was waiting for Grand Prix because Junki is a good horse rider.
Agree with you on Faith. The story was interesting, but for some reasons, I couldn't concentrate. It didn't hook me in and my mind just kept wandering. After a while, I started playing with my phone while watching. That was the only way I could stay around until the end. The ending was good and logical, though.
As for Junki's horse-riding skills, he is such a fearless horse rider that I couldn't believe it when I heard he was afraid of riding motorbikes.
beside as a good actor, i find JG is truly an entertainer. seeing his videos (on stage, interview, or in shows), he always makes me smile from ear to ear, or laughs with his expressive personality. Fun to watch.

Someone noticed that his look during Iljime and My girl was a little girly. Really I didn't like him at all during that period. But in SWWTN he is sex bomb:))
Yes, he was a little girly in MG, but I liked his boyish nature in Iljimae.
@willenette Me too.... I loved those hallucinations/conversations with his daughter. They were so well done... If you look on Two Weeks thread, one of my Soompi friends is watching the drama now, and she mentioned she wanted to have a re-union between Lee Joon-Gi and Park Ha-Sun; And I answered I wanted to have a reunion between Lee Joon-Gi and Lee Chae-Mi.... We laughed that we have different OTP.
They're my OTP too. I watched TW for the action, but I enjoyed the hallucinations more. Chae-Mi is so adorable and Joongi looks like a doting father.
Let's see, AATM, MG, Iljimae and I've tried JG but it isn't my cup of tea sorry. Couldn't stand the leading ladies acting and did not like the story either.
Junki was okay, not too well, but okay. Do you know that how was his japanese pronunciation? I know Japanese doesn't really use tones, but I would have liked his speaking better if he has sounded more like a japanese than a korean who speaks japanese. Am I the only one who loves JG? I wasn't exactly a LJG fan when I watched it. I'd just realized he's a good actor and our tastes are quite similar. But I didn't get my hopes up. It started ok for me, but got better and better as I watched. Some people didn't like the ending, but for me the last few episodes were the best of them.
As for Joongi sounding like a korean who speaks japanese, it was actually part of the story. In fact, the guy he was working for wanted to kill him at first, because he could tell he wasn't Hanjo due to his accent.

@Merry thank you for the link. As I new fan, there's a lot of things I didn't know. But one thing I know for sure is I am worried, no update in any social media acct. I miss his craziness and silliness. I'm thinking he is in vacation rather than thinking of anything. I feel annoy to the mean comments, wish them to stop. Having 3 rumors with the same girl is unhealthy, you will think for twice or thrice until you will have doubt.
Never imagined myself to care more in an actor. He is the one and only actor I know beyond dramas. I wish this rumor gone easily like a bubbles. This guy needs privacy.
Hi proudme, ye, LJK needs this indeed but being a celebrity you lost that privacy. Paparazzi will always be harassing you - that's a reality of a celebrity's life. You'll be chased by people you don't know or being surrounded, feels invasive and make you feel scared. I can say, `this (invasion of privacy) is part of his job and this is going to be a reality of his life," but for sure what he doesn't expect is how his emotions are going to react to it. People generally don't have much sympathy for celebrities upset about privacy invasions. People really enjoy celebrity gossip. Gossip about celebrities is fun and enjoyable. People crave it like candy. Yes, it causes celebrities harm, but people love the gossip. People love the photos that paparazzi take.
Unfortunately, that's the way of life for celebrities. He's been living a celebrity's life for years now. Given his ups and downs in the past, he must know what it's like and should hopefully have learned by now how to deal with it. Besides, he played a paparazzi once. He should know all about them and their readers. But his fans should know better. It's easier to overlook anti-fans' hateful comments than one's own fans'. I hope he knows that most of us are on his side, no matter what.
As his friend Jason is getting married, LJG may have realized the implication of him posting the photo of his friend & him at this time. I guess that's why he has deleted the IG post.
Yes, that must be it. Some people said it might be because of the girls in the background, but I think you've got a point.

I got to know LJK from SWWTN and appreciate his talent. He works hard and seem to enjoy teamwork on set. He always helps other actors during filming as a lead. The only thing I may be annoyed about him it's his idol style when taking pictures. Dudes, he is an actor and over 33. Sometimes I feel like he is childish, ridiculous vs Kim Soo Huyn or Kim Hoo Bin who are 6-7 years younger.
Really?! I love his cheerful side with all the craziness and silliness. I usually watch his funny video clips on ig with my nephew and we both crack up every time. I sincerely hope he never grows up.
On the other hand, his quietness may be also because of his schedules. Didn't he tell us on IG he has an almost deciding project near the end of SWWTN? There will be many promotion events for his Chinese movie in November too.. Haha, I'm anticipated for both!
According to his schedule on his official website, he had to do Media Interview on 'Scholar Who Walks the Night' for international promotion yesterday.
By the way, JG posted another photo on his IG, but deleted it right afterward.
Apparently, his friend Jason is getting married.

I'm totally disappointed. Not in JG, but his fans. I think I gave them too much credit. Before they were like 'be happy. We support you no matter what', and then when this news came out they began calling him a liar. How come he's a liar? Didn't he say already that he would date in private, that he would only reveal it if he wants to get married? There are still loads of us who are on his side, but it still hurts to hear these 'so-called' fans bash him for dating like any normal guy would.

Tried to watch the red carpet on V app. I couldn't watch it all due to my connection lagging, just bits and pieces here and there.
But I checked the comments now and then out of curiosity. I don't know whether any of you read them. Mostly they talked about the celebrity who'd just showed up, but occasionally people called their celebrity's name. The thing is, Joongi's fans called his name so many times that somebody actually commented LJG's fans are so annoying.

I'm so happy he won an award (the award I was so looking forward to). He deserved it and more.
We all just need to accept that no one of any gender will ever be as beautiful as Lee Joon Ki.

Iljimae is the drama that started me on the journey on knowing more about LJG. During that period, there were huge following of viewers for this drama both online and tv.
Me too... Iljimae stole my heart, but not the time it was aired. As of now, it ranked #1 in my sageuk drama.
The same here. That's the first drama I watched of JG. One of my favorite kdramas ever. He was brilliant as Youngee, Lee Geom and Iljimae.

As part of his overacting, I know he knows it. But even though, it doesn't feel me annoy or awful to look, you can still feel the emotion it deliver. Somehow, overacting or too much facial expression are need in terms of defining character. Like his drama Iljimae, as yongee, he shows to much expression that need in his character as comical and playful. He act like a jester or clown in front of other but behind of it is pain and sadness.
It doesn't bother me either. At times, I even like it. Like in Youngee's case.
I've watched all his dramas and movies except Hotel Venus (I couldn't find it). He's impressed me in most of them or I wouldn't be here. Although I love all his characters, my favorite is Dong Wan from Flying Boys. He doesn't have a major role, but he's so much fun to watch. I feel like I'm seeing the real Joongi with all his craziness and silliness.
I'm cuirous to know which one's your favorite.

With Jo Min Gi joining the cast, Joongi needs to keep the joking to a minimum if he doesn't want to get beaten up.
