    Hello, this is my first post here (and it will be probably the last, 'cause my real life can’t afford me here debating with you all, unfortunally :(, but couldn’t help myself and not post at least once lol).

    So, in my opinion, it is clear that the writer’s main plot is that about two people once married and who have failed in that marriage, fall over in love again, and in spite of all things (past and present cruelties and wrongdoings, reason and pain) in their heart will want to stay together, even if one of them or both will act against this wish. IMO, from the beginning we were told that JE and HK will fall in love (again - if they will just rekindle their love it is something to debate).

    In this sense, I’m watching and enjoying this drama in a “detached way”, that is: I’m not judging it from my moral point of view. What I’m looking for is if the writer will be able to demonstrate that JE can be forgiven, that despite his wrongdoings we (the audience) can pardon him (because I’m sorry to say that, but HK would accepted him back if he asked for that even before her memory loss, and with her great love if the writer want to make her stay in character she will pardon him in the present if he begs for). So, from a narrative point of view, will the writer be able to convince us that JE can get another chance to be happy? This is my main point in watching this drama (there are anothers, but this is the principal).

    you explained it well @ninaanin ~ have to agree with you; think the drama isn't really about infidelity only but rather about a marriage that goes through a cycle. if a marriage goes through a traumatic event like a death of a child, can a couple grieve together? if the couple tear each other apart, push and punish each other with cruel deeds, can they learn to forgive each other later when time has passed? can a couple who meet again fall in love again and get past all the emotional baggage that occurred in their old relationship? can a couple mend after meeting again and is it okay to do so? these are the questions that the writer is pursuing and it is difficult to answer. as you pointed out, JE is not a completely bad person even though he has cheated with SR. and lets not forget HK is not a saint either. so it will be interesting to see how this turns out. ultimately, it is not a question of whether JE deserves a second chance but rather what happens in the couple's relationship despite the faults, the mistakes and the baggage they carry.

    Thank you for explaining, @armanigurl! I understand what you said! But I don't think it's "right" for Jin Eun to (still) love Hae Kang when he's currently in a relationship with Seol Ri! He needs to control, do something about those cray cray feelings, actions to Hae Kang!

    in ordinary circumstance perhaps he won't have any feelings for HK after his return.

    but because he came back n saw his ex wife at that state, perhaps it brought back his protective feelings towards her. I mean who wouldn't be concern? She lost all memory and has took on another identity, his curiousity roused alot of hidden feelings perhaps, not to mentioned remorse. 

     

    Yes, I understand that as well! But no, it's still wrong for him to have love, "remorse" feelings for her! She's no longer his wife! Whatever state she is in is none of his business! Before he start making her his business, he needs to end it with Seol Ri!

    Haha.. well I think he knows he has to end with SR. What SR is experiencing right now is truly a payback for what she did to another woman. Now she feels what is like to have her man taken from her. I would like for her to experience more of this, seems like she still have no remorse at all!

    As for JE and HK, they've been through alot. They lost a child together. I mean if we put ourselves in their shoes, that is sure to rock even the strongest of relationships. The pain must have been so great, and it must have been too much for both to deal with. I mean unless we have gone through that ourselves would we understand why JE and HK both turned out that way.

    But i say, he has a right to love his wife.. no matter if they divorced or not. She was once his wife, it's not unusual to feel love for her.

    May you please explain more on that paragraph above if you don't mind? I want to make sure I understand you correctly!

    But before you explain (if only you want to), I would like to answer you on what I think you meant!

    So, are you saying that, for example, my husband was married once before he married me, if he were to see his ex wife again whenever in the near future, it's okay for him to still have feelings for her, to still love her, his ex wife since she was once his wife?

    Whether Jin Eun loves Seol Ri or not, he has been with her and he is still with her at the moment! If you were Seol Ri, would you be okay if Jin Eun still loves Hae Kang, his ex wife?

    If I was Seol Ri, I wouldn't be okay with it! She pushed herself on him and he accepted her whether he truly loves her or not!

    If my husband were to meet his ex wife again and still have feelings for her, still loves her after all this time that we're married, I would be so pissed then go crazy and divorce him!

    umm.. 

    Because sometimes we cannot control our feelings..

    Why? Because when people say in sickness and in health, till death do us part. Not till divorce do us part.

    we are only human, we cannot say i stop loving and the feeling is totally gone. Some takes years some never heal.. that's just the way it is.

    In JE's case, put a beautiful girl like SR in front of him and he still can't let go of his wife. He merely burried her in his heart when they divorced, he didn't even realised until met her again.

    A bumpkin is a naive country person who is unaware of urban existence and poor GH comes to Seoul and she's always doing something wrong because she doesn't know the way things operate. And you are right AG --that part about her gives some humor to everything she does.

    this drama really looks interesting.. but i'm too lazy to soak myself in a long drama right now.. however i do enjoy all the discussions going on in here (minus the actual dramas of this thread)

    this drama beat the other 2 dramas (one fine day; invisble man) in the same timeslot. that's amazing for a premier episode. the two actresses are awesome. yoon da hoon (soonae's husband) bleh. i can't stand that guy. omg and why do we have to see him half naked so many times in here. first in the hot spring. yuck. next the almost entirely nude scene on bed in the hotel by the sea. yuck. then next shower scene. yuck again. does the writer have a crush on him or something. really not a pretty sight. the white torso. flabs. ugly nipples. yuck. *sorry for the graphic lg*. i just really really don't like that actor, but i suppose he was cast for this for his comedy experience. bleh. whatever. can't wait to see more men. any man will do at this point.

    and is that his house??? i would like to take down those pictures of himself.. i remember ryu shi won used to have a huge poster of himself in his house and alot of people bashed him for it.

    of course joo jin mo needs those pictures to remind himself that he's the best gift from God to women.. so hmmm, i just hope it wasnt his idea to put his own pictures so huge like that in his house.. :/

    Any couple involving Kim Hee Sun. God, what a terrible actress. She never has any chemistry with her co-stars.
