@AsgarlaI'm pretty sure KS is there to see the queen so he thinks that's her body... it's completely wrapped so we have no way of knowing if that's her.
@Miki88 I'm actually pretty convinced that she was his sister not his love. because the king orders them to "kill his family". She and KS are probably nobles of some sort and she ended up marrying into becoming a queen while he became a general. The king was jealous of KS because well, his aide basically told him that KS is the "divine one" and that he will the one to reign over the king. He was probably just afraid of KS taking his position or controlling him. KS is a war hero and is someone who had the respect of his peers. I can see why the king would feel threatened. I don't understand the motive behind the King's aide though... why did he want KS killed off so badly?

@Princi_86 ohh you're right. I streamed it a little late so I didn't see the opening... but it's like would they make it THAT obvious? I'm anticipating a huge plot twist. And I don't understand why the grandma had the ring in the beginning. the queen and the grandma are the biggest mystery of them all.
btw I read this by another commentator:
"So the grandma is a divinity of fertility then... I see... I see.. Goblin - divinity of desires [both innate and outward desires]... While the Grim Reaper - is the divinity of death.... Does this mean we may see some glimpses of other divinities...?"
If this is the case it would be awesome!!!

ohh that makes the most sense! You really have to look closely for the details. I think he has a close connection to Sunny since she was the queen (his wife) in her past life? I'm like 75% sure that KS is the queen's brother then. I thought that she was his love, but after watching the first episode and thinking about it that makes the most sense. but did anyone think that it was strange for the queen's body to be wrapped like that when KS went to the palace? I feel like it was intentional for us to be able to not see her face...
And I had said before that the general public doesn't care about MAMAs and I guess I wasn't wrong by the real time ratings

@Princi_86 ohh I see. then I would think he's potentially the reincarnation of the king who had her killed. and Sunny might be the queen in her previous life. I'm hoping for something more than this theory though. Honestly such a great way to start off the first episode. It's fun for someone like me who loves making and reading theories.

okay guys, so some knetz on DC are speculating that LDW is KSH's (queen's ) reincarnation like I suggested before. I'm personally hoping that it's not the case, because again it would be too obvious with the ring connection. And if that's the case, what would be his connection with sunny? or sunny is the reincarnation of the queen and LDW is the king who had her killed. So they were husband and wife. Gong yoo might be KSH's older brother. We also haven't seen or know about the other king played by kwak dong yeon. I would love to hear everyone's predictions on this once they watch the drama with subs.

It really does look like we have a hit drama. I can't wait to see the actual ratings tomorrow.

all of the comments are good on naver and nate. I still see some people hating on KGE but a lot of people are saying that she's cute and matches the role. And I expect the ratings will be pretty high considering the quality of the drama.

I think a lot of knetz are saying that they are confused with the story and don't know what's going on (not necessarily in a bad way). It's expected since episode 1 introduces us to all of the characters and is shrouded in mystery. I personally loved this episode since it keeps us guessing and omg the quality is amazing. A lot of the knetz are saying that it's like watching a movie. The drama is honestly something that hasn't been done in Korean entertainment. Overall all of the comments seem positive so far.
It seems like everyone in modern time and in the past are connected somehow. I didn't expect Kim so hyun's character to have the ring... idk I'm personally hoping that she's not sunny's reincarnation. Like it would be too obvious since they show Sunny with the ring. LDW'S character is also drawn to the ring and I'm trying to rack my brain to see how he could be connected to the queen. Maybe he's a reincarnation of a character from the past we haven't seen yet? or he himself is the reincarnation of the queen (although that's probably a stretch). or maybe the queen didn't really die? since we only see her corpse wrapped up right? it would be so interesting if she was actually alive....
And I'm confused, who is that old lady?? the one that turns into the lady in red

@princess nour90 Oh my gosh they're both so handsome and pretty. I can feel the emotional tension just from the teasers. But idk if it makes sense for that to be her grave since she would have died a long time ago. I wonder if there is someone else that's actually his first love. KSH could potentially be his daughter or someone he respected and admired.

Omg I can't believe we'll be seeing the first episode so soon. I love everything about the latest teasers from the overall atmosphere, the characters, and the mystery. I looove LDW in a reaper outfit. haha
I hope in the first episode they're going to have all of the past historical stuff because that seems to be the most interesting part of the teasers. Grabbing the viewer's attention from episode 1 is so crucial. And I wouldn't worry too much about the MAMAs tbh. The general public doesn't care that much about it.
Btw does anyone think that KGE is Kim So Hyun's reincarnation or something like that? I don't know if this was discussed since I couldn't backtrack though all of the posts. He keeps talking about his first love and then it cuts to KGE's scene. I feel like that was intentional. From what we've seen in the teasers KSH seems to be the first love that he's talking about (well she could be his daughter for all we know since she's so young), but who is the person in the grave? I just wonder what the connection is. I have soo many questions and I think that's good because it shows how intriguing the storyline is. And do you guys think that there will be an antagonist in the drama?

I'm amazed by the quality of the drama so far... I'm so glad because I was worried with the first few teasers but the recent teasers and the 6 minute teaser looks awesome! totally different from what I was imagining but I love it. I just hope that KGE is not going to be a high school student the entire time. I know some people are not happy with the way she talks but it's definitely acting to give her a childish feel. I have a feeling that she will mature as the story progresses and KGE would portray that well.. LDW looks as handsome as ever and even from the teasers you can see that Gong Yoo is an amazing actor. I'm also a huge fan of Kim So Hyun so it was good to see her in the 6 minute teaser. I wish that all of these amazing cameos had a bigger role in the drama though. I wanted to at least see KSH reunite with Sungjae!
But I admit I was a bit perplexed by the teaser posters. Lol I loved looking at all the pretty but the concept confused me. Like why are they fighting over a salt shaker (?) lol. The Mr. Smith and Mr. Smith vibe that Yoo In Na and LDW has going on though
And crushed velvet is definitely in right now. I love KGE's dress.

Yes, I just didn't want to get invested at first since I was wary of the teasers but after seeing the last one I'm all in haha. Wow 900 years... For me it would be really interesting if the past story takes place in a fictional land or past where goblins and other mythical creatures live. But since Gong Yoo was human at that time, it probably wouldn't. So if this drama fully pre-produced? or just partially? Because it seems like they're not even half way close to finish filming all the episodes.

Hi everyone, I've just been lurking since this drama's been confirmed but thought that I wanted to join in the discussion. Honestly I love all of the actors in this drama so far. I'm trying to keep my expectations low because I'm honestly not too fond of Kim Eun Sook dramas but I do hope that she can continue her momentum going to make this drama a hit for the actors involved. I was little worried after seeing the first few teasers but WOW the last teaser really surprised and impressed me! Can anyone clarify whether Gong Yoo's past as seen in the teaser is from a fictional land or era? Or is it somewhere around Goryeo or another time period in Korea?

I'm like pretty sure that she will get the best new actress award. I can't really think of too many other actresses who would get this award besides sohyun. I think she's too young for top excellence and she still has a very bright future ahead of her!

Hmmm Idk about the BTOB attending MAMA. Allkpop usually has iffy sources and from what I read all of the official lineup has been released. It would be great if they attended though....Anyways I'm very excited for sohyun to be at the MAMAs. Shinee and EXO are attending and I hope to see some sohyun interactions with DO or Minho:) I just hope her stylists make her look good though. I liked her makeup and hair styling at hong kong so hopefully they keep doing well. It's the MAMAs so hopefully they give her a dress that stands out a bit more. They always dress her in simple clothes that is way too old for her age.
and omg! I saw a 15 sec clip video of sohyun ad jisoo filming this scene captured by someone on weibo who just happened to pass by. wow they really look good together I must say:) I think it's really nice that Jisoo has liked some pictures of sohyun on IG. I hope they become good friends.
Btw in the video it looks like she's holding onto him with her right arm the entire time. Are they suppose to be dating in this drama?

And yes, she will be at hong kong again for MAMAs. I'm kind of hoping that she's a MC and also perform a dance with another artist lol. Btw I'm really liking her styling in hong kong. I'm glad that they changed her hair back to black and I hope they keep it that way.
Anways sohyun is as sweet as always with her fans. Her fansmaster of her taiwanese fan facebook page said that sohyun remembered her from her last trip in taiwan.

I'm so psyched for this pairing! I really wanted them to work together since they both normally have this sweet temperament but can play badass roles:) I hope sohyun's character is good, especially since it's PHR writing the script. I just wished that it was longer than 3 episodes.... I hope she chooses to recast them later on. on side note, Shin Jae Ha (?) another actor from sassy gogo will be playing sohyun's rival. He was in pinnochio so he's an alum of PHR dramas like sohyun:)

OMG!!! new drama , although it's only 3 episodes! I'm 99.9% sure her costar is jisoo as they are following each other on instagram.I'm disappointed that we would only see them together for 3 eps but I'm soo excited! Hopefully they can work on another drama next time. I'm pretty sure that they're chemistry is going to be undeniable. I'm also happy that sohyun reunites with IHYV screenwriter:)

hi everyone,
for some reason Ji soo (the actor from angry mom and cheer up) and sohyun have started following each other on instgram. Also another actor,shin jae ha (also from the drama cheer up) and sohyun are following each other as well.
I wonder if they have been cast in the same project? possibly in princess deokhye? regardless, I'm hoping that it's a casting for a drama instead because I've always thought that they would be cute together!:)

Maybe he mean that he wanted to pay his respects before she was wrapped? man idk I just hope that KES is going to tie everything in smoothly. I usually don't like her dramas but this one has me hooked. Seriously, when have we seen a drama like this? the scale is on a different level. But for me KES dramas start out very strong and kind of loses it's way midway. I hope she can keep the momentum going in all the episodes.
I do agree with some commenters above about the flow of the scenes. It was a bit messy so hopefully it's a bit more cohesive the next episode as we were introduced to most of the characters.
