Actor Lee Jong Suk pays tribute to a student who passed away in the Sewol Ferry tragedy last year. He left a very meaningful birthday message to the victim, Kwon Jihye from Danwon High School.
On the 4th, a netizen uploaded a picture to her own SNS. It contained a flower basket and a handwritten message meant for Jihye.
Before she passed away, Jihye had been a fan of Lee Jong Suk. Her friends had told Lee Jong Suk’s management that they wished to have a signature to place with her ashes. After hearing this, Lee Jong Suk sent a gift to her family. Since April 2nd was to be Jihye’s 19th birthday, he sent her a flower basket and a handwritten note.

On the signature paper, Jongsuk wrote “To the XX (the student’s name) who became a star at an age where you are beautiful like a flower”.
