I don't want WS to be manipulated by WY through HS. HS will hate herself and hate WS, if she will see that WS was killing his brother the 10th Prince because of her. Me too I won't be happy to see WS love and loyalty towards HS turned into a weakness. I don't want to story to be this suffocating. Isn't WS supposed to have killed the 9th prince and one of his nephews, during the time he was king ? Nothing was said on wikipedia about him killing 10th Prince.

Anyway my happiness about the kiss was blown right away with CP's death . Thank you writer-nim for making it the happy moments really short to prevent us from assuming this story might have a happy ending. We are well prepared for more tragedies . Keep it coming .

Lol Chingu calm down ! did you watch the ep 12 with subs? I know that you do live recaps and translate at the same time . However I don't know if with subs the episodes will be easier to understand. I have just finished it and I must say it is not that bad. HS cares for WS's safety and happiness more than her own happiness . Every time she sees him her heart skips a beat and she is not getting the fact that her feelings are changing and she no longer only have WW in heart. WS makes her heart flutter and she can't ignore him. Even she was mad at him that when she sees him she is reminded of all the struggle she went through , I can understand her. HS feels that she is a sort of bad luck happening to princes and she feels guilty about WS being sent away from the palace, the place where he wanted to stay and never leave again . She doesn't want him to get involved with her and end up dead like lady Oh. It was never easy for HS to accept Lady Oh's death. She think, she is responsible for everyone's misery. Even when she was talking to Wook, she was not accepting his excuses. She was just letting him know that she missed him, (once again, HS is not aware about what really happened and how he was a coward and the real one responsible for lady Oh's death) , because she needed his support through the hardship she went through. His empty words still gave her strength to continue to endure things just to survive. She asked him if he ever missed her, to let him know that all the excuses he is giving to her mean nothing to her. She only wanted him by her side and he wasn't. When he answered her. She let him know that that is enough for her and that she wants nothing from him . She is not wanting him to help her anymore. She can't let anyone get hurt because of her. She is not waiting for Wook to marry her nor save her. 

When WS came back and Taejo saw that he is now ready to be a king he told HS not to worry about the future and just to live in this moment and not get on the path of the destiny of his sons Moo and So. HS seems to understand the message and I am hoping for a character change in episode 13 . I think that she might accept WS at some point of the story unwillingly . Just by following Taejo's words to live in the moment and let destiny deal with the future. In this moment the WS she is seeing in front of her is a nice person, not the murderer Gwangjong. The OTP will happen in the upcoming episodes. Let's just stop predicting the flow of the story and we will be surprised by how beautiful the moment will be, when WS will receive the love of his one Lady. We have to enjoy that moment as much as we can. After that let's be prepared for sadness and agony. Gwangjong will be created by the unfair circumstances that WS will be put in . He will have no choice but to eliminate every traitor, even his brothers, who has zero respect/affection towards him.

After reading the live recaps , I can't seem to be able to calm down. 

I am losing hope that things will get better. How? After the king speech with HS , I don't know, if she will ever openly accept WS's love. It is clearly against "heaven's will", if she gets involved in his life any further. He is the destined powerful king of Goryeo and she , HS, had no place near him as History told us. She found multiple reasons to reject WS, first because she was scared if him to become Gwangjong , second because she is in love with WW, then because she wants to not get involved with him so that he won't get hurt,  after all what WS did to help her , he richard simmons drank poison , stand by her side on the richard simmons rainy day and said good bye to her before leaving and gave her kiss, the moment he turned from his mission the first thing he did when he saw her , he hugged her and he told her he missed her . this woman doesn't seem to change her mind and keeps staying faithful to the coward WW. To add more reason to her cold behavior and upcoming richard simmons, she will put WS through,  now after the king is knowing her secret and warning her not to get in the way of WS becoming the King , I can't imagine, how  are we supposed to see HS dare do the opposite and will stand by WS's side and accept his love? Why would she all of a sudden accept WS? She even nearly had lost him , after the poisoning, however after all the richard simmons she went trough and all kind of hardships she faced, she managed to ask WW , if he missed her, and throw a tantrum at WS , who did every possible things to help her out. I am confused, frustrated and worried about how the drama will develop from now on. I hope I won't be greatly disappointed. It would be really a waste, if HS will reciprocate WS's feelings at the very end of the drama and then we will have one single episode with mutual love and the rest is the battle about the throne, the YH , WW and evil Queen tearing WS and HS apart . WS and HS suffering until the very end. Plus HS death and return to the future .

I will pray to the Drama God to prevent this Drama to turn into a total disaster..

lol ! I know , you are right and when LJK was talking about his character as WS he mentioned that he was possessive and obsessed with HS. It is not a healthy relationship that these two will be in . It will start off nice and end up bad, if he continues to be very obsessed with her . However I do not agree with you that he is stalking her and not respecting nor caring about what she went through. He is trying his best to comfort her, help her cheer up by showing off his affection to her, and proposing to her to save her from a hard labor. This is how WS is trying to care for the person, he loves. He didn't give up on her because he thinks love and friendship are the same and because he sees that HS can not hide her fluttering, when he pulls her towards him. It is totally understandable , when you know WS's background. The man lived away from his family. He was never loved and cared for by anyone. How can he lead a healthy relationship and be flawless, when he was raised in such a loveless environment? He said it himself when he talked to Baek-Ah , that he doesn't know how to deal with people. So, he knows it when HS didn't like to be kissed by force by him but at that moment when she was telling him to leave the palace he didn't know how to react. When he said that he could kill any man, she might be in love with and she has nowhere to escape from him he is showing how he is just not accepting the idea that she could be with someone else other than him. I agree with you, I will be so freaking out when I hear that some man , that I am not in love with , talking to me like that. I will hate him for that. But here in this drama, I can sympathize with his character and cheer for him and HS so that HS , the modern woman, who knows about psychology and stuff like that, could understand him and fix up his behavior and teach him about how to love a person, and letting them be free and not obsess about them. He is surely is not some kind of ideal and perfect man. He has his flaws. However he has other qualities that make him very attractive and hard to resist. I personally will wish to meet a man of action and not empty words. He is the kind of man you can rely on and you are sure he can handle any situation and makes sure that you are fine.  Who wouldn't like to meet someone like this? I am cheering for him ans HS because of all the things he went through just because he loves HS whole heartedly. But knowing that this drama might not have a good ending for exactly this reason, the obsession of WS over HS, I might say that WS will learn it the hard way, that love means giving the other person their space and freedom or you will lose them forever.

Hello chingus,

about Soo not getting closure with her relationship with WW, and rejecting WS again,  I have 2 theories.

Theory N° 1: The girl is sent back in time, to the harsh Goryeo dynasty  , to learn that "action speak louder than any words".  She still can not believe that gentle and caring Wook would easily turn his back to her in her most difficult time. Who would ? It is not easy to forget and erase the image she had of him just because he didn't stand by her on that damned day, when she lost her beloved Lady Oh. WW gave her an image about how responsible and trust worthy , when he was married to Lady Hae. She said it in the first episode, she wanted to trust him, too. After her break up with her boyfriend in 2016 and being betrayed by him and her best friend Soo /HJ wanted to find a person , she could trust again, so that she wouldn't lose faith in humans. It won't be easy for her to face that she failed once again to find a person worth her trust and faith. She putted so much hope in Wook and she was all wrong about him. She needs time to digest the truth about his betrayal to her. As so many of you guys said, she needs to hear his excuses and decide wether to accept what he did to her or move on. She need to talk with Wook and make up her mind about him, before she ever thinks about getting in any kind of new relationship. 

Theory N° 2: after losing Lady Oh , HS is feeling guilty about her death. She will associate the misfortune to any of the princes and people she loves, including WS of course, to herself. Maybe that's why she is distancing herself from them all and won't accept WS's proposal, in this critical time. She is putting their safety and happiness before her own comfort and profit. When she was given a second chance to live, all she wanted to do is to survive. That was her main goal. After all,  by living  as a laundry lady and not getting involved with the royals at all, she could achieve that goal.

However WS  won't let her off easily. That's why we may see her yelling at him to leave her alone. Because he is making it hard for her to ignore him and just live quietly as a laundry lady.  After Taejo's death and CP becoming the king , WS will continue his loyalty to the CP and might save him again and serve him with dedication, when CP will ask him , if he could grant him any wish, WS will ask him to bring back HS to the palace .  She will end up in the palace again and won't be able to resist WS's temptation anymore.  She will finally surrender.  LOL at this point of my theories I might conclude my story by saying that  HS is one hell of hard to get girl !

I totally agree with you . Her scenes with BeakAh are so random to me. Their presence makes not big impact at the storyline . And her acting is awkward. I am sorry too, please GG-fans don't fight me. Actually for the young actors only LJG, KHN and Lee Ji Eun and the actress playing YH have impressed me with their acting. They are fitting their characters so well that I can not imagine anyone doing their job. For the older ones, the actresses playing the 2 Queens and Lady Oh, JiMong and the King Taejo are really really  pros. However for the rest of the cast, I can't help but compare them with the actors of the c-version. Honestly I don't know if it is an editing problem or not but  I hope I just hope for better bromance between 4th and 13th. Anyway what really counts is that the leading cast are showing their hard work and shining. I am loving the story so far and enjoying the drama..

 I think the passage was closed to prevent WW from meeting HS secretly . I dont't know why I keep thinking it is his mom's doing to protect her son and cut off all ties with HS. It is also a symbolism a closure and that WW-HS relationship is over. As for HJ transportation to the future, my theory is that things will get really tough for HS and she won't manage to live any longer in the palace.  I guess it will be at another eclipse moment when HS will be attacked by someone, who tries to get ride of her. She won't die but she disappears in water and vanish forever.  I think that the eclipse played the major role for the transportation back to Goryeo and not only the the fact that she was in that bath/lake . I mean the two elements Water and Eclipse should synchronize so that HS will be able to turn back to 2016. That's all my imagination of course

Yup ! no wonder! His father sent him in mission of death and Yo knew that and didn't forgive him for "abandoning" him. He is so heartless and evil just like his psycho- mother. And I guess they have no real family-bonding between the royals. They are just there aiming for the throne and plotting on getting ride of each others. A son could kill his father , a wife her man or even her own son  and brothers will eliminate each others casually. No regrets, no remorses, no guilt.. How harsh could this be?

I have to say I love how the Kdrama version depicted the "break-up" of HS and the 8th prince.  In the original, I felt although it was sad, Ruoxi and 8th Prince's break up was subtle and even a  little uneventful for me. However, in the Kdrama version the whole poisoning plot had so many players involved with alot of emotions going on.  But in the end... that moment when Soo saw WW turn his back on her... NO WORDS had to be said to realize that was the end of that ship.  Definitely well played.

Next... I'm wondering how bitter and angry WW's character will get because of this.  There's no doubt that WW still loves HS, but he'll have to jealously watch her fall in love with So (and I can't say I'm not looking forward to that actually...)  I'm sure that is going to eat away at him.  So... I'm wondering what is he going to do next?

1.  Do you think he will try to become crown prince to win HS back (or even force her back to him... because obviously she lost trust in him.)

2.  Or do you think he will completely give up on Soo and try to become crown prince just to spite So? 

3. Or do you even think he will have a hand in arranging YH and So's marriage?  - Maybe something like "If I can't have Soo, then no one can?"  (This would ruin any chances of Soo becoming WS's first wife.)   Would he become that cruel to even forsake Soo's own happiness?

I'm just hoping that even though the 2nd male lead's ship is over, his character won't just fizzle out. I am also hoping WW will come back with a vengeance because if not,  it would be a waste of KHN's talent.  WW and WS scenes are just so intense... probably even more so than when WS and WY face off.  It'll be a shame to lose all that.

 

Also... I just love the crown, 13th, and 14th princes' loyalty to Soo.  In hard times, you really learn who your real allies are.  That was such a touching moment.  I know in the original the 13th and 14th were on different sides, but they always came together when it came to Ruoxi.  I'm so glad I see that in this version.

And finally...  there are no new words I can say about WS - this forum has said it all.  Obviously HS will be pretty sad and depressed, but I hope we will get some cute (and even adorkable) moments of seeing WS's attempts to cheer her up.

 

I like your theory about how WS and YH will get married . WW , YH and evil Queen will somehow find a way to force this marriage. Each of them for his own selfish reason. WW to get revenge from So, who stole HS from him, YW she only has eyes for the throne and wants to be empress and powerful , evil Queen already shares the same ambition as YH and we must not forget that she hates seeing WS happy . She will make everything to make his life miserable and split him and HS apart. Plus she will make sure that WS become a king after Yo. For her what only counts is that one of her sons are taking Goryeo. And when all of these three evil and hell smart people have the same target, which is WS-HS, WS will have it hard to fight all of them and outsmarts them. And also doubt that maybe they will have their tricks and traps to manipulate HS and make her leave WS.  

side note: I think the major reason why HS was sent back on time , is to make her realize that being too kind , too emotional and naive  will get you always in trouble and you are not helping anyone with putting people before your own self. She did it with her ex-boyfriend and her best friend. She sacrificed too much to help each one of them. Now even in another era , surrounded by other people, she never knew, keeping acting the same way got her in trouble.  She has to learn it the hard way, that people are not always thankful for putting them first, for being so understanding and patient. She has to learn to put herself first. She has to learn to better judge people based on their actions not the image they gave her. The good and kind Wook is turning his back to her, when richard simmons goes down.  He kept none of his promises and never truly helped her out. When he has to make a choice between his sister and her, he chose his sister and mother without thinking about HS future for a second. He surely resents his sister for putting him in that situation. But I was expecting from the smart Wook to find a way to get HS out of jail, get his sister punished because she actually did wrong and find a way to help out his mother. However he choses the easy way. Sacrificing HS for his family. He is the same Wook that married lady Hae who he never loved as woman, just to save his family. And he is the same Wook that got very angry, when he knew for the first time that he has feelings for HS and that she could be his weak-point. He is the possessive one in my opinion. I bet he mentioned marriage to HS because he doesn't want WS to have her. Out of jealousy after seeing them on the horse and how she told him she will return with WS and not with him. He got really pissed off, because WS is taking something that belongs to him. And he is not willing to witness this once again, that's why he told Jung that he will make sure that  this will never happen again and proposed to HS the same day. I might be really angry at WW right now and seeing him really really as a bastard. Seeing the wise concubine Oh also opposing the marriage of HS ans WW made me believe that this woman has really good ability of judging people and seeing their true colors. She didn't encourage HS to accept the offer. I am so sorry for hating on WW this much

I think he is so confident that he can do whatever it takes to make her fall for him . He is ready to fight for her with confidence. Where does the confidence came from? My guess is when she applied the make on his scar for the first time and he leaned on her at the end she was frozen but she didn't look uncomfortable or like she is hating him getting too close to her, he saw that she might have some soft spot for him and sees him as a man. From that little spot in her heart/mind for him , he is ready to give his whole to pursue her and make her completely his person. only his .You Go Boy!

I am wondering how is episode 11 supposed to be fun with all the drama ahead of us. WS near death, Torturing HS, hanging Lady Oh , begging the kind for forgiveness and sitting on the rain and cold  all day long.. Man I have to prepare my little heart for a major sad episode ..

Hey!  I just wanted to state that WS-era in Goryeo was the peak of it ! HE established a stable and independent kingdom. So maybe Jimong is just trying to help WS , the king who is seen as the best ruler of Goryeo , I mean JM is rational in his thinking and not emotional. He is trying to help WS because  he is suited best in terms of power and politics to be the King of Goryeo. In a personal level, wether WS is lovable brother or not, Jimong does not care about that.  And as Yo said, when they were trying to convince WS to kill CP,  it is not a new thing that a prince assassinates his brother to get to be the ruler himself. So it is a common, justified and accepted thing to do so in that era, Jimong is from that era not from the future. I guess he will not find it strange if WS kills all his enemies , including his brothers, if they are plotting a revolution or a coup-d'état against him .

the subs are out but I am so afraid to have my little heart squeezed and then crashed into little tiny pieces. I have a week full with job interviews. I don't want to look gloomy.

Do you guys also get affected by the mood of the leads on your favorite drama? like really getting emotionally invested to the point that you feel rejected and miserable, when they are rejected?  Or am I the real weird one and I need to get a life and find a man?

I am wondering how will she stop freaking out everytime she sees WS? Don't tell me she will force herself to stay with WS and avoid WW, aka break up with him, just to save WW from WS's anger and revenge , because she might think that "psycho" WS will kill his brother to have her for himself, if he would know about their relationship ? No, please Writer-nim don't make a fool out WS ! 

HS once said that she fears her heart the most, coz she can't control the direction her heart takes. So I hope this will apply to her love for WS, too. I really hope that she will find herself falling for his gentle and at the same time manly side. I hope to see HS's happy face again and that she and WS will have a beautiful and romantic moments even though we all know that hard times are ahead of them. SoSoo-Couple FIGHTING

Who should I pity more? This poor man being so hungry for being loved and the moment he thought he was accepted by his mother and brothers, he finds out the mother is just trying to use him to kill CP and help his older brother become a king? then after refusing the deal he looks for someone to give him a hug and shoulder to cry on. But he is being rejected and treated like a dangerous "animal", the thing he hates the most, from the person who adores the most.  Or should I pity ourselves , coz as I feared the last scene in today's episode is the damned kiss ! and we are now facing a looooong week ahead guessing what will happen next ? HS is so f+++ing gloomy on that scene in the preview when he asked if she wants to escape with him and that he could do that for her! I hope this "i am freaking out every time I see you"-phase will end next episode. I can't see WS hurt like this anymore !
