    Lee Dong Wook is arguably one of most enjoyable characters to watch in tvN’s “Goblin.”

    No matter what scene he’s in, the grim reaper has chemistry with any character from the show. Whether it’s his bromance with Gong Yoo, the cute friendship with Kim Go Eun, or his bashful interactions with Yoo In Na, viewers are always entertained when Lee Dong Wook is onscreen.

    While the public is well aware that “Goblin” screenwriter, Kim Eun Sook, spent five years trying to cast Gong Yoo in one of her dramas, it is not the case for Lee Dong Wook. As a matter of fact, Lee Dong Wook had to fight until the end to receive the role of the grim reaper.

    Kim Eun Sook had originally rejected him because he didn’t fit with the image of the grim reaper she had in mind. Even after a representative from Lee Dong Wook’s agency tried to persuade her, Kim Eun Sook was not convinced. However, Lee Dong Wook was too smitten with the role to give up.

    The representative was able to get Lee Dong Wook a one-on-one meeting with the “Goblin” writer, and he was able to successfully appeal to her during the meeting. Kim Eun Sook was finally moved and offered him the role of the grim reaper.

    After receiving the role, Lee Dong Wook worked tirelessly to get ready by repeatedly analyzing and studying the script and his character. Because of his efforts, Lee Dong Wook is able to show viewers a new kind of grim reaper!

    Seem Wookie really read our thread and know our concern to him to work with A-lister writer to make people acknowledge him more. And I can sense he wanted this role to prove to someone...that we know cough? cough? Wookie really worked hard to persuade Kim Eun Sook because she has high standard for her male character. But anyway Wookie did a great job already in Goblin.

    seems like the writer of Goblin KES, loves Chicken stuff so much-always chicken here and there, and she directed it to Wookie specifically. The writer knew so well her actors behind the scene, even called Gong Yoo-Dinasour face in one of the script. 

     

    You know @samzz, My wish one year ago to see Wookie work with A-list scriptwriter like Kim Eun Sook is fulfilled. We all know he has good acting skill but lack in star power. But seem people especially K-nets now acknowledge his talent now. I'm so so happy. Keep it up uri wookie.

    About Dahae, it's her choice in which direction she can get back to K-entertainment. Her mentality must be strong. If she continue with Chinese Drama, it's her choice but Korean will forget her. Luckily, she still has My girl in her profile to make people still remember her.

    the best part they confirming my Wookie-Gong Yoo-Cody, bc they said  After being discharged from the military, the two have been going to the same hair salon. They also see each other regularly both during and outside of scheduled activities.

    We know GY and Wookie are using Aurabeauty, and GY's cody is DHs cody and personal manager, so before this they always gathered together.

    We know Wookie always has large-heart for people, It's not surprise if Gong Yoo that want him as Grim Reaper. I'm not surprise if Wookie will help Dahae again to be back in K-Drama. He has a lot of connections with PD, casting director or actors. One good thing about wookie is he never forget his friends especially his military friends regardless the career. Because Gong Yoo was his senior in army I guess Gong Yoo must bully Wookie a lot. Haha. And Wookie also bully his juniors army friends like Lee Jun Ki and Kim Ji Suk.

    oh no. Goblin already double digit. As I predicted earlier that it will reach double digit in this week episode or next week episode. Congrats team Goblin especially to our favourite Wookie. Hope he achieve success, glory back this time. Next, I'm waiting for Dahae's turn to resume acting in K-Drama.

    I always hope for the best for both wookie and Dahae career. I hope Gong Yoo can help Wookie in getting a good offer for a movie. We know Gong Yoo's movies always box-office. I remember maybe last year or early this year, I always said I want Wookie in high profile writer drama like Kim Eun Sook to boost his career although just as second male lead and seem my wish come true.

    Cannot resist my hand from posting knets reaction about Gong yoo and wookie chemistry. Something that I already expected from this drama. So happy. This is first time after almost a year I watch KDrama again just for wookie. Of course Gong Yoo stole my heart in Train to Busan.

    I hope heavennight will invite me to listen to his songs first before releasing in the future. Maybe can help the verdict from flop to success songs. Hahaha
