I'm excited! Just realised that the Shampoo - Daeng Gi Meo Ri is available in Singapore. In fact, it is retailing at selected Watsons Stores. How wonderful it would be if Lee Geon/FLTY pictorial appears on the cover as a limited edition???

As FTLY comes to a closure..all I want to say is Thank You!
Thank you to the Writers, Producers, Production Team - this drama is a gem and thank you for choosing the Jangs to act together. What an amazing collobration of actors! Without the awesome supporting cast, the drama would be different. I will miss Lee Geon, Mi Young, Grandma Wang, Mi Young's family, Hamo Hamo, Daniel Pitt, Sera, Ji Yun etc, most importantly.... Secretary Tak! All of the characters make the drama so endearing. One more special person to thank - Gaedongi! Though we have not witnessed your birth, you were very much part of the story. I hope we can see a few Gaedongis soon. You will not be forgotten....
It has been a magical journey, I am still coming to terms that we are down to the last two episodes. The forum has been a wonderful haven for all FTLY fans. I know we will surpass the 1000 pages without a doubt. I'll come back and visit often, though I will slowly wean myself which is going to be very hard. This is a very special place...let's keep the spirit of the drama alive for as long as possible. Thank you FTLY friends for unselfishly recapping every episode, working hard on bringing us updates, stills, clips, gifs, humour etc. You've made the forum so much FUN!
Last but not least, THANK YOU Jang Hyuk ssi and Jang Nara ssi, you breathed life into the wonderful characters of Lee Geon and Kim Mi Young! FTLY would not be what it is if you were not part of it. You've brought so much joy, tears, humour and not forgetting LOVE to the screen. Your onscreen chemistry sizzles and I am glad we were able to watch your collaboration over and over again. The drama and wonderful, haunting OSTs will remain in our hearts for a long long time. Heuhahahahahahahahaha! -

I've watched at least 20 times of the subbed Ep18 today and I am still grinning like crazy.. I can't help it!
Ep18 was simply WOW, totally unexpected. The kiss at the press conference befits the occasion, all the pent up emotions - hurt, anger, sadness, longing and love.. Mi Young was perfect. She took the courage for both of them and the way she professed her love in front of the audience was so touching. You just teared up naturally, the kiss was so real... and Jang Hyuk, his kissing back Mi Young was to die for! The kissing scenes were very well played and erotic as hell just like Mi Young's brother in law's reaction LOL
The entire episode was full of tender moments between Lee Gun and Mi Young. Finally, all the knots have been straightened, it is going to be blissful all the way. I don't know what to expect but Ep 18 has set the high bar for the remaining two episodes.
This is the only KDrama where I have watched and not come to dislike the villians.. they were really none. I feel sorry for both Daniel and Sera, they deserved happiness too. We'll see both siblings reconciling soon so that's a consolation.
Mi Young and Jang Hyuk - I just loved the onscreen chemistry, there's nothing to dislike. Both of them compliment each other so well! If Jang Hyuk wasn't married, I will ship them like crazy!!!! I guess I can still ship them in KDrama land, no harm done
As a married woman, I cannot imagine how hard Jang Hyuk's wife must feel to see the onscreen chemistry between both actors... it is tough and uncomfortable and jealous as hell! Tons of people are oogling, going gaga over her HOT husband..including myself
=)) There is a lot of sacrifice and I guess it all boils down to love, trust and professionalism and lots of understanding. The best bonus is... she has the real deal - Jang Hyuk! ahhhh
I think I am going nuts over Ep18... keeping my fingers crossed that Ep 19 and 20 will be even better with more OTP moments and nothing else

Before I do that, I was busy refreshing again while waiting for my bus earlier, just as I was reading the most exciting part - MY's discovery of LG's mancave with memories of her and gaedongi... i missed my bussssssssssssss and had to wait for another 15 mins...=))
So glad I have this forum and the recappers to provide first hand synosis and great company! Hurray... are we now going to have more sweet and loving moments (I hope so!)?? Tomorrow's continuation should be skinship skinship skinshipppppppp. let the Snail Couple finally reunite and let the humping begin!!! Well it's about time...MY and LG only did it one time and BINGO! No more cliffhangers please, just another 2 more before we say goodbye...[-O<

Interestingly, there is a Soap Supplier named Hamo Hamo in South Korea. Maybe there's where they got the inspiration - Park Sa Jang's favourite tag line "Hamo Hamo". I like to think of it as a funny slang.
By the way, I have no idea what "Ding Hao" means?? And I am Chinese LOL.

I had mixed feelings after watching Ep 16. We had our funny moments, JH and JN continue to amaze me with their profound acting skills. They way they conveyed feelings with each look, each moment, their voices... it's such a joy to watch their performance together. Secretary Tak is precious, I am so glad he is such a loyal friend and PA, his humour and bromance is beyond comparison LOL. All the essential characters in this drama makes it so easy to watch and enjoy. Never a dull moment and thank God, it's not draggy too.
They both grieved for the lost child in their own way, it's painful to watch. You feel for them, a lump in your throat. I feel that MY is starting to soften up to LG and then she brushes it off.. just when I thought there was an opportunity for both to rekindle the relationship.. along came Sera to stir things up again. I feel frustrated that she continues to lead MY into thinking that she and LG are still together. If she did not have the conversation with MY when they met, maybe just maybe, MY would not have written off the reconciliation with LG. The necklace brought back memories of MY when she witnessed LG putting it on for Sera. So in MY's mind, even if she still has feelings for LG, she would walk away again.
Though Sera said to Daniel that she did something wrong to two people in the past, I don't see any remorse. Furthermore, she knew very well that she could no longer get close to LG although they are still seeing each other. So, I get annoyed when she just appear in LG's office without notice. What timing!
LG's means and ways to lengthen the project collaboration with MY was so sweet. He treasures the short time together and knew that once the project is over, there wasn't a reason to hold back MY anymore. KM feels the same but I guess she would not be making the first move.
I could go on and on but I'm not going to. All of your comments already expressed what we are all feeling. Just 4 more Episodes to go. How Depressing!

My concern now is that I hope the next two Episodes would not show that MY is ready to accept Daniel's proposal after realising that LYJ is actually LG. To her, she feels like she has been made a fool and she is ready to get over. Maybe, LG will finally pick up the courage to go after MY once he knows that he is really losing her for good.
When can we see them clearing all the misunderstandings and just kiss and make up for a long long time. If MY can get pregnant after one night of "ahem ahem", I am hopeful she is super fertile to conceive twins! Come on, it's been three years of separation, LG better put those raging hormones to good use and hit the JACKPOT!!! [ /Spoiler]

I'm sorry that I am late in congratulating everyone on reaching 500th pages, this thread is Awesome! What a journey.... FTLY has been an amazing KDrama and I can't stop gushing how much I like the way the story is evolving and not forgetting the wonderful actors! I love Ep 14 and it was really heartbreaking to see how Mi Young's words and treatment hurt Geonnie for once. His expression says it all.. I felt frustrated at the lack of progress on the OTP moments and shudder to think how much time is given for a thorough OTP skinship moment. I hope we'll get to see it soon and not just the last 10 mins on Ep20 [-X . Again, Jang Hyuk's comical antics in Ep13 and 14 was just unbelievable. CHJ was just charming, can't hate him as a supporting lead. Bless Mi Young for having two HOT OPPAS! I guess this only happens in KDrama land. LOL. No complaints so far but I hope they finish with a strong ending. The OSTs are just wonderful to listen to, I am so glad I can buy them off iTunes.
We're going to have lots of discussion again tomorrow and Thursday too. Thanks in advance to all the recappers. Will be refreshing again like crazy

I say... Jung Hyuk/Lee Geon is one HOT Ahjussi, Husband and Father!!!. He looks Gorgeous with Long and Short Hair! I can just oogle at him all day LOL. His wife is so lucky he's such a family man.
Back to the story, Episode 13 is simply awesome from the start. It really cracked me up to watch Lee Geon doing the rap and teaching G.O.D. how to carry the baby. Awwww, paternal instinct... this is such a happy episode and the hilarious antics that Lee Geon had to come up with just to watch Mi Young. Jang Nara/Mi Young has blossomed into a breathtaking confident woman. Ouch... Lee Geon must have regretted letting her go.
It will be so funny to watch how things are going to develop further. And I agree with you that Mi Young should let Lee Geon suffer more CJH is looking dapper too! I kinda of like him watching over and courting Mi Young, giving her the support during the years she was away. Lee Geon has a strong competitor!

@gumi - Your comments are insightful and count me in with getting the Director's Cut DVD as long as it comes with English Subtitles. I'm also keeping a look out for the DVDs when we can pre-order on YesAsia once the show has ended. FTLY is a not to be missed KDrama collection. I can't wait to own one!!

@bebebisous33 Re my earlier comments regarding likeable villains in the drama, you're absolutely right about the two despicable characters - the Lawyer and Sera's friend. But as they are so insignificant, I wasn't even thinking about them. On the other hand, we should thank them for lending a hand to make Lee Gun realised what a precious gem he has uncovered and should never give Mi Young up. ;

My view on Ep 20 - HOT, HOT, HOT, Funny, Romantic, Sweet, Happy!!!
What's there not to like? I'm drawn by the chemistry between Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara. Everything fell into place nicely. The concluding episode leaves a warm feeling for me, I'm very happy with the way it ended. As for the love scenes, I didn't expect that much of skinship, not complaining at all. I think it was tastefully done and leaves the viewers to imagine further. LOL. So glad that Lee Gun and Mi Young finally did it! I'll never look at rice pounding the same way again after witnessing them playing the game. The game is such a turn on! =))
I think it would have been meaningful if they have at least considered bringing both children to visit the columbarium, paying respects to Lee Gun's parents and introducing Gaedongi. Much was focused on talking to Lee Gun's parents and placing Gaedongi's photo together. With the birth of the twins, I thought it would be nice to bring a closure as well for both Lee Gun and Miyoung, they have always missed Gaedongi during Eps 16,17,18 etc.
Nevertheless, even without the inclusion of the suggested scene, as a viewer, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole series and my focus right now is to get my hands on the DVD/Director's Cut...
Wed/Thur will never be the same again..I hope there's more JJang production in the pipeline.. to wait another 12 years is simply too long.[-O< id="firstHeading" class="firstHeading" lang="en"
