    KIM SOO HUYN's tall height and personality confirmed by makeup artist's assistant:

    I'm currently in Seoul, visiting and traveling with friend who is a makeup artist in the US . She had make lessons ($2,000 a day) with one of the most famous Korean makeup artists who only does celebrities makeup ($1,000 a face). She had worked with both Jun Ji Huyn and Kim Soo huyn, many times. I had the privilege to join my friend and the Korean makeup artist's assistant for dinner last night. My first questions were about Soo Huyn, his height and all that. This is the exact word from the assistant speaking in English:

    "Oh, of course! Kim Soo huyn is very much more handsome and TALL outside. I'm 5 ft 9 in (1.75m) and he is much taller than me. He has to be at least 1.8m or 6 ft tall. He is very skinny outside. Even skinnier than I am. So he is slim compared to other guys we see here in Gangnam but I guess that makes him looks better in photo shoots. I really like his personality. The way he talks is very interesting, strange, and unique. He thinks and talks like an artist. He sees things like an artist, and very smart. Very different from other actors and actresses that I've worked with".  

    She then talks Jun Ji huyn and how she has beautiful, perfect skin though it wasn't like that in the earlier years of her career . She goes for facial treatment very often. She was shocked that Soo huyn is also popular in America. The TV news only talked about his popularity in Asia.

    I was happy to hear her confirmation and then told her he is 5 ft 11in, 1.81m hehe). This assistant is as tall as any other models.. And yes, if this assistant wear killer high heels like Jun Ji huyn did in the drama, she would also be taller than him. I missed the chance of catching a glimpse of Soo huyn at the Dongdemun DDP ceremony today because of a pre-arranged schedule. SO SAD.

    I got curious and looked up the appropriate address for KSH. With his current title, I felt a little shy to still be calling him baby.   :D

    Kim Soo Hyun Wins Best Actor in Asia at

    ′Tokyo Drama Awards′

    Kim Soo Hyun has risen to become the Best Actor in Asia.

    The drama, You Who Came From the Stars has been acknowledged for its content power overseas.

    On October 23, You Who Came From the Stars received the honor of the Best Overseas Production at the Tokyo Drama Awards 2014 in Tokyo.

    The Tokyo Drama Awards is a TV drama-focused festival, and HB Entertainment′s CEO, Moon Bo Mi was present at the award ceremony to accept the award.

    Kim Soo Hyun Wins Best Actor in Asia at ′Tokyo Drama Awards′

    Also at this ceremony, Kim Soo Hyun who acted in You Who Came From the Stars received the Best Actor in Asia award. You Who Came From the Stars received two awards at the Tokyo Drama Awards 2014, being acknowledged as a loved content in all of Asia.

    You Who Came From the Stars also received the Excellent Korean Drama Award at the 2014 Seoul International Drama Awards.

    According to affiliates in Japan, You Who Came From the Stars was number one in online DVD pre-orders as well as a production that was the topic of much discussion in Japan.

    The drama recorded an average rating of 24.0 percent and highest ratings of 28.1 percent in Korea, becoming a hit drama in the first half of 2014.

    The story about the alien who fell on earth 400 yaers ago and top actress received a lot of love from overseas, being praised as the production that opened doors to ′hallyu 3.0.′

    The drama was even recently chosen to be remade in US through ABC.

    Kim Soo-hyun tops Tokyo film award

    Hallyu top star Kim Soo-hyun won the Best Actor in Asia Award in this year’s Tokyo International Film Festival on Thursday.

    The Korean heartthrob walked down the red carpet in the Japanese top film awarding event that took place in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo.

    Kim was recognized for his hit dramas and films, including MBC’s television rom-com series “My Love from the Star” and film “Secretly, Greatly (2013),” which earned him the title of top hallyu star.

    Running from Oct. 23-31, the Tokyo International Film Festival 2014 kicked off with Disney animation film “Big Hero 6,” directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams. The festival will close with “Parasyte (Kiseju): Part 1,” a Japanese film that was cinematized after the popular Japanese graphic novel “Kiseju.”
