It doesn’t add up, what is the point of showing SY soul drowned at the bottom of the lake, if she is actually there all the time (judging from her reaction, she didn’t have a shock moment like SB first time arrived at Joseon era).
Her attitude changed a bit, but CJ didn’t even realize that. What the.. ??

I don’t see it that way. IMO, BI is acting like a middle man, he has nothing to loose (almost nothing to loose). But there is power struggle for CJ, Andong Kim Clan and also Jo Clan (?).
CJ was originally a mere puppet, he was choosen because he is weak and dumb. He has no allies, no political power, no money to buy people’s loyalty. While BI has Andong Kim Clan behind him (don’t forget his powerful adoptive father) and full support of Grand Queen Dowager.
Simply put, CJ has to fight on his own, while BI has many allies who are willing to provide him the ammunition, ie : O Wol confession letter, asking his adoptive father to plant him as a high ranking officer, and maybe you can add some more.-

when he said to HJ that he loves her even without that well incident eight years ago, I think that is his way to find out who really did save him at that time. It’s kinda giving HJ assurance that he loves her for who she is, not because she saved him, so maybe HJ would come clean to him. Simply put : it was a bait, he was looking for her confession. He was 75% doubting her.

Initially I find him good and loving but as the plot goes on, I find him to be arrogant and snobbish thinking he is the King of Joseon and above everyone just because he has Kim Jwa-Geun as his father and I only found out he is just an adopted son. He has forgotten anytime when he goes against his adopted father, his adopted father can easily get rid of him of which I hope that is soon.
I like how Kim So-yong remains so steady regardless of the King or KBI. And I was so happy when the King declared outwardly to KBI that KSY is her Queen and that he the King is responsible for her. That is really hitting the nail on the head but the arrogant KBI cannot get the message at all. He still thinks KSY belongs to him just because of that one night that one rainy night.
Somehow I feel Royal Consort Jo Hwa-jin and KBI belong to each other as their greed are of the same par.
Continuing watching for King Cheongljong and Kim So-yong to be the best couple.
I kinda miss Mr Jang Bong-hwan because of his wit.
Back to watching Mr Queen...

Not only Cheoljong didn’t recognise her as his saviour, but he also held prejudicial attitude against her, misunderstood her, and never tried to get to know real her. On top of that he repeatedly humiliated her by openly showing affection for another woman, so the whole palace would gossip about it.
Somehow thinking about this makes me angry on behalf of So Yong. She tried to protect Cheoljong but he never understood that. Seeing it from So Yong’s perspective I’m glad So Bong rejected him at a lake and made him uncertain about her feelings towards him. He needs to try a little bit longer to win her heart.
No, I do care about So Yong, like a lot.. But since this is only a drama and the story telling is quite amusing and comical, so I forgive and just enjoy whatever they have thrown so far.
for CJ humiliated SY in public, I thought at first CJ actually wanted to help SY, but SY was giving a clue for him to go away and not wanting him near her. *of course CJ should have choosen the queen no matter what, just to safe queen’s face. But then again, SY was the upper handed with his family and clan power, while HJ (and CJ included) was a pityful one with less power and being bullied by the queen’s clan.
so if we can also see from CJ point of view, his reaction was acceptable, he wanted to let queen dowager know that he disliked the situation, he could not say much, so picking up HJ was the only thing he could do. *sorry I am not good on uttering my opinion.

I read somewhere, during their first reading, someone said that this is a comedy drama, so they should laugh a lot.
And one of the leading actor/actress said that this is not a melodrama *CMIIW..
So far this is one of the best writing in Korean drama, so let’s enjoy the ride
Let’s assume we will have a happy ending haha
Oh let me add something, I find this drama is so refreshing because without an A lister actor/actresses or Hallyu star, this drama could draw quite large attention, and achieve quite high ratings. *some people defending a drama when their top actor/actress playing as male lead (mostly as main lead), even when there was so many plot holes in the story. And then they blame Korean people for the low ratings.
But with Mr. Queen, I can remember that a good drama doesn’t need a Hallyu star or an A lister, good script, decent fresh actress/actors, good PD-nim, they can create an enjoyable drama with high ratings.

it has been 2 years since my last visit to Soompi and now I am here again for CLOY.
I wanted to love this drama but I just can't. I like it but not love, and I skip it here and there in every episodes, especially the villain scene, I can't stand his face, bad person with bad face (actually his face is just ok but he has a bad vibe (?) that makes me stressed out. I've seen many villain on other movie that I enjoy to watch, but I can't with this one.
As for RJH, I don't know what's make he cares for Se ri so much, I know he is a good person and wanted to protect innocent people (Se ri) but not to the extend that he neglect the possibility that she is a spy ? He thought about it but only for a very short time (maybe it was only for comedic purpose, as he was thinking the opposite thought than what Se ri was thinking at that scene). He makes her noodles from scratch, protecting her like she is a long life love of his. How long has he known her to treat her that way, really ?
I know the Drama wants viewer to see the sweet, jealous and protective RJH towards Se ri, but I don't see a strong reason why..
As for Seo Dan, I don't see anything wrong with her. RJH is obedient to her and showing no rejection, and she has been waiting for years for him. She is mad but she still has a dignity in her to not throwing tantrum, not every woman can be like her. She didn't call RJH but appear in his hotel room because she needs to see it by her own eyes. RJH caught red handed. and there is nothing wrong with pulling a string just to have her fiancee's hotel room number, its just human to me.
what is wrong to my eyes is Se ri and RJH, why Se ri needs to lean on him, hitting his shoulder, giving me a romantical feeling going on, when she learns that he has a fiancee and about to get married next month. I am a viewer and analyse what they give me to watch, I don't make a story on my own. And I am not biased towards main leads so that I have to like/believe/justified whatever they do, and the second lead has to be a less good person.
to this point, I want to know the reason RJH and Seo Dan got engage, was RJH forced to it ? But it doesn't seem that way, at their first encounter at the bridge, he was distance but obedient to her. And if we are being honest, never say never, there is possibility that RJH will appreciate Seo Dan and loves her. I just don't understand when I read somewhere that RJH has set his eyes on Se ri and will never will has a feeling for Seo Dan (something like that).

Hello everyone, I am a silent reader but always eager to read all of your post in this thread, but something bothering me is that some statements about Song Joong Ki can't act that good if thats not because of Song Hye Kyo (something like that), SHK brings the best out of him bla bla, I don't want to offend anybody but I need to express my opinion too about this. I DISAGREE..
SJK is not only acts with SHK in this drama, he has scene with other actors/actresses, what do you think about his scene with JinGoo ? his scene with Kim Ji Won ? his combat scene in ep 1 with north korean soldiers, his fighting scene with I don't know american army (Red Bull captain (?) in ep 2.. he is just as good as he is..
SHK is not his momma to bring the best out of him !! I would be devastated if I were him and have to read this kind of comments, he works his richard simmons off to be an actor, how sad if everyone keep saying he is only can be that good only because of SHK that make him, you are belittle him as an actor.
I am not defending him because I am his fan, I am not.. I just want to be fair. I don't know if in this entire thread it is only me who thinks this way.

@leedonghaek, I believe thats Song Joong Ki ways of acting to make his character believable, as for my opinion SJK has not only a baby face but his body also looks like a young boy, it makes him look manly to walk that way lol.

May I suggest you to watch a Thai lakorn : Love Destiny.. I am not a fan of Thai drama or movie, but I watched that drama, don’t remember why but I must say that drama is worth to watch.
it’s about time travel and a soul from future transfered to the past. I found the story telling is consistent from ep 1 to last episode. And I love the fact that even she knew about the future/history, she didn’t say/do much, because she believe what is meant to happen, will happen.
Mr. Queen is indeed one good drama, but it failed to be a legendary drama for me. It won’t be a drama that I can re-watch many times, because there is flaw at the ending. But as somebody said here that Kdrama has that typical character, good intro and good conflict, but they don’t know how to wrap the story. My favourite drama when I need a good laugh is Full House.
And for the people who feel Mr Queen ending is not satisfying, it’s not because we want a certain ending, (SY-CJ, SB-CJ, or BL ending etc). What we want is a believable ending, based on what they have shown us from ep 1-19.. we hope the writer will tied that all in the last episode. Please don’t say we have to understand this, understand that.. lol
I read somebody said, they can make JBH soul transfered back to the future because Queen Dowager use a shaman, that would be good a story, it still connected to the story line, etc etc.. sorry for ranting, I will stop
