Same here. I laugh again and again whenever I re-watch his funny scenes in episode 6 ^^.
Can you recognise the intentionally mocking expression in his voice and on his face when he makes the apology to the noisy girl ? And when he asks the casino boss for more bonus ? ^^. Somehow I feel a bit surprised b/c I haven't expected LDC can be funny like that after all he had to suffer in the past, and now, from his separation from his beloved family.
I guess the opening part of epi 1 will be repeated in some certain epi later. It may be the first encounter b/t LDC and STH since his running to Macao, so he will survive for his true revenge later ~~
Btw, pls dont let him in Macao so long just to bring you laughters^^ Wanna EOE to turn to be a... comedy ? hahahah ..
not that i want EOE to be comedy...i like SSH's acting and he makes me laugh with how his character is.
he is such a darling...i guess the reason why i want him to stay in Macau and stay just like that DC having no permanent job and surviving because i don't want to see him shed so many tears like he used to in his previous dramas...
with the many actresses, i don't know really who will be ending up with SSH...thus i welcome whoever they will pair him up with.
the way i see it, the focus of the story is more on DC avenging his father's death and how he tries keeping his family intact.
i have not watched any of the english subbed episodes, but from what i remember in one scene when his father was still alive...like to be a good brother to his baby brother to that effect. well, he is doing that now...by merely thinking about that...i don't really know what to expect once DC learned that his real brother was raised by STH...well maybe the revenge will never get materialized as DC is good at heart...he may stop avenging his father since his brother was raised by STH and he lived such a luxurious life, while STH's real son suffered since birth from STH's ruthlessness. that his son not living the life he was born to, would be enough of a vengeance...
i am not making sense at all with my own idea of how the story will develop.

i am really loving SSH's acting in this drama....because i laughed a lot with his scenes except when he is thinking of his family.
he was especially adorable on his first scene in episode 5...when he was dancing...
and of course, when he was speaking in English...at least my ears were not bleeding when i heard him speak in english.
i don't know...i hope SSH's character will stay in Macau till epi 25...as his scenes (not thinking about his family) brings laughter to me...
his character is so relaxed...while when the scenes shifts to his family...i always see sadness in them.
this drama is not only make us heartache but also headache during 50 episodes. loli wish the story will be happy ending...
based on the opening scene of Epi 1...i think it will be a tragic ending for SSH's character?
didn't DC get hit by a truck then they shifted the scene to when his father was still alive.

epi 7 and 8 will be shown next week.
it is Chuseok week in Korea that is why the programming is sometimes confusing.

i am almost done with episode 6...
i really love SSH's character in this series.
and i cannot help but cry whenever they show sad scenes of his family and him remembering them.
i have a question...his brother was admitted to Seoul National University right?
that scene brought tears to my eyes...
the plot of this series is intriguing and i don't know what to expect once the truth is revealed. argh!
not really into the love story part, but i am more interested to see how the story will unfold especially when Dong Chul and Dong Wook will learn the truth...that they are not blood brothers...when they all want to avenge their father's death.

LDC's character resemble to SSH in Fate movie with Kwon Sang-Woo. and maybe that also become of one reason why he accepted the role. i'm looking for his romance with Young-Ran. a very cheerful girl who come steps into his cold heart. light and warm him with her chicky and cute smile. who can make him "dugeun dugeun .."
i have not watched FATE, but i always want to see SSH in a rough and cold character as it really suits him.
i also want him in comedy...anyway...i can feel the chemistry of SSH and that girl in yellow outfit...cannot remember her name...
she was with SSH in an MV with Park Young Ha, right?

It makes understanding of the episode much better, for those who have not much time to rewatch with subs.
I really enjoy epi 5, kudo to Kim Bum. His acting was truly awesome for a young star , he got my adrenalin pumping fast whenever he appeared...so intense scenes always.
The episode ended so beautifully on young DC transition to adulthood in Macau. The scene was so well done as one can feel the pain of loss he felt losing someone he cared once again in the crossroad of Macau.
This drama is getting addictive for me.

i cannot believe you are watching this series.
i thought you will give this series a pass as it is long for you plus you are not fond of SSH.
even if i love SSH...i am still not absorbed by the series as i watch it without subtitles.
honestly i like the acting of Kim Bum, he is such a promising actor and i find the the older actor not sure if his name is Jo Min Ki...although he is already very matured, he still is oozing with sex appeal. and i also like the acting of Kim Mi Seok...
there are so many names in the series that i can only memorize SSH's name and his brother....Dong Chul and Dong Wook.
anyway aside from this i am watching SCALES OF PROVIDENCE, LOVE and MARRIAGE and waiting for GEN. HOSPITAL 2.

i am only watching this series, i am not really into joining the discussion as it has not prompted me yet to give my opinions.
just watching this series for SSH...
seeing the screencaps by luv, i am seeing a different SSH.
hopefully, they won't make him sob to death like he used to in his previous series.
i like seeing him in a not-so-gentle role. it suits him as his charm is overflowing when he is sort of a bad boy.

I have yet to watch Episode 4, the DC gal reactions are overwhelming, everyone really is raving over this episode, I have to see it.

i really look forward to this drama.
and tomorrow is the big day.
i already saw the 45 sec teaser which was very promising and i hope the writers of this series will not waste such powerhouse cast.
the poster alone looks intriguing...sort of a saga to the likes of the classic "Gone With The Wind."
i love SSH and i want this series be a success and not just some series which started with a BANG and then disappointed the audience.
there have been a lot of cases like that in the past...hopefully this one will not experience the same fate as other BIG BUDGETTED series.

my goodness...SSH has become such a "flaming hot" actor. he is simply BEAUTIFUL.
i am not fond of saying HOT whatsoever to any actor in any series i watch...
but SSH still charms me with his BEAUTY ever since i first saw him in 2001.

Dong-chul read from the korean newspaper that Dong-wook got into law school (first position) at Seoul National University. At the seaside, he shouted Dong-wook's name (in the direction towards Korea).
i like really SSH's eyes...and it seems i will really see a different SSH this time.

i don't want to barge in in your conversation, but i think we should all calm down.
as i read everybody's posts, i feel sorry for STY.
she is literally being harassed by KSW fans.
i know it is hard to accept it and that everything that happened for the past days has not YET sunk in in every fan's being, but let us not be harsh or too negative about STY. it is not her fault KSW is marrying her. if she were pregnant, your KSW is just being a responsible man. they are in love and that they gave in to the moment when something beyond hugging and kissing happen. if indeed she were pregnant, they are both being responsible to give that baby a family. now if she were not pregnant and KSW is marrying her after few months of dating, then that means he doesn't want to lose her. just because he fell in love with someone not known to most of his fans (and unlikely one i guess) and had such not pleasant past, people can just be criticizing her like that. that was why KSW didn't take her with him at the press con, he saw it coming. look at some of the fans reactions here. too much bitterness and harshness on her. this is the woman your so adored KSW will be spending the rest of his life with. whatever her past was, KSW has nothing to do with it. her past made her the woman she is whom he is loving now. they have not tied the knot yet and i see people mentioning divorce. why think it that way, when we should instead wish him to have a lasting marriage. a marriage that will brave the odds and have strong bonds come hell or high water. i understand the KSW fans' sentiments, but who are we to judge. STY may not be the perfect woman, well KSW is not a perfect man either as we all have our flaws, but perhaps they are perfect for each other because their personality comlement each other. i am not a fan of either celebrity, but i do really wish KSW and STY a fruitful and happy marriage, as celebrity marriages in Korea has become disappointing lately.
and i salute KSW for taking the stride of being the first major Hallyu Star to tie the knot.
who knows, many will follow suit.
popularity and fame will wane in time, at the end of the day these celebrities are just like us who want to be in the comfort of the love ones.
STY may not be as popular as KSW, but KSW was not looking for a woman who is very popular or known to everybody...he was looking for a woman whom he can love and love him in return and can share his life with. just my opinion.

권상우는 "기사에 나온 대로 손태영 씨는 내가 사랑하는 사람이 맞고 9월 28일 결혼할 예정"이라고 전했다.

if the rumor on marriage is not true why bother to have a press conference?
KJE and LSJ had a rumored wedding last year and the date was Nov. 18.
the couple negated the rumor and never had a press conference just to clarify eveyrthing.
the issue on marriage died a natural death. and then this year there was a rumor about them getting married abroad just because they will have photo shoot abroad.
with KSW having a press conference, i want to think they are really getting married.,
maybe because something is growing inside STY's tummy already and they need to rush marriage.

but Jang Hyuk was dating his wife now for 6 years...while this one started only early this year.
well with their secret honeymoon in land down under, it is very possible a little KSW or STY was made, thus the wedding is very sudden.

the TNS is much higher....
it is on 26.3%
actually from yesterday's holiday rating...EOE rated good...at 19.7%...now it climbed to 26.3%...
and LYH is lucky to have kissed SSH...but i would not mind...they have nice chemistry....
i feel their chemistry the way LYH acts with her eyes...
honestly i don't see chemistry between HJH and YJH...
