 I was supposed to keep it to myself coz i knew it was crazy lol. I knew she consulted a fortuneteller & there was really no clues of her of being a GR. Rather than a theory, its like a wish, I'm wishing Sunny to be something else, a fairy maybe, or whatever. Something that would explain why she doesn't look poor yet her store is doing a poor job & why is the store doing a poor job in the first place. (On a side note I think the writer just used those circumstances to show how cool/odd Sunny is)

As opposed to my own theory (or wish, this is the realistic ver.), I think Sunny is just a human being. Someone who is experienced with ups and downs in life. That's why she's kind of odd, playing cool because she must have been through something worst (than her poor chicken store ). And also why she's good and seemed to empathize with ET.  And her chicken store ? it's just doing poorly, maybe she's just unlucky & maybe (hoping) helping ET & meeting our handsome GR would bring her luck.

btw i had an exam today and there was a bonus question, "if your life is a tv series, what is it's title?" and I unconsciously wrote Goblin: The lonely and Great God

Hello everyone ! I'm so happy with the beautiful theories and feedbacks you are all sharing. 
Thank God the talks about age gap of the leads and how Kim Go Eun doesn't seem to fit the role, 
coz she's not as fab as your A List actresses (im a Kim Go Eun fan that gets easily butthurt, sorry), has died down.Also, the doubts and negative thoughts about this drama (doubts with writer etc.) has stopped. YAYYY  I hope this forum will continue to give positive vibes, feedbacks and mind blowing theories . And if the show might happen to disappoint you in the future, please... please have a second, third, fourth thought before posting it to this forum (in a friendly manner pleaseee) *sorry that I easily get butthurt * This is now in my top list of Korean Dramas. I really love how the writer left clues for us to think. LOVING MYSTERIES 

Anyway, to add or rather support your theories here's mine

1. Sunny is the reincarnation of the Queen, I don't have anything (new) to support this 
but it perfectly fits the story, right?. Otherwise, she'll be just a cool sajangnim of a chicken 
restau that doesn't have any customers but was hiring a part timer. (BTW I think Sunny hired
 a part timer simply because she felt lonely hiihi) Not so second female lead material eh.

2. The dead "someone" was the King. 
This wasn't really a theory because I find it obvious (I mean who else would have a burial like this
but someone from the royal family? )

 

3. ET might not be a mere mortal(maybe a fairy as somebody pointed out!) which explains why she can "teleport" or use the magic door with KS (lol). She isn't registered in the living nor the dead and the Goblin is the one that gave her life. (ET is the girl who lived lol )

4. Grim Reaper in the reincarnation of the king, got it from the first translation of the character description. You knew those very well anyway. 

5. A lady Grim Reaper will appear, my crazy,wild non sense theory says its Sunny (which might explains why her business is still thriving despite not having any customer and why she could see our Grim Reaper even though he'll be wearing a hat, buuuut Sunny seeing a shaman contradicts this theory so nvm) or will there be a cameo or some pretty agassi ? Or else why would they bother to insert this line kkkkkk.

 

* BTW did someone notice the Shaman and one of her triplet which is the Ghost who told ET about the Goblin saving her and her mother. I wonder when will the other of the triplet will show up *

6.Dukhwa is the one who picked up the Goblin Book at the bookstore but it doesn't mean that he knows about ET. It could be that he was also reading books about goblin (his uncle is a goblin you know ) and happen to pick up that book that ET read (and where the maple leaf is). ET & Dukhwa might be regulars in that bookstore and some time they will meet. Maybe it'll be that time when ET will try to retrieve her maple leaf but when she found the book, the maple leaf is gone. Dukhwa will happen to see her "is this what your finding for?" (sounds corny IDK how LOL). In short, that maple leaf she left in the goblin book will make way for Dukhwa and ET to be friends. (BTW I saw stills of them at the bookstore together hihi)

7. The Lady in Red is not the antagonist/villain. She's ET's guardian god <3 She's the reason maybe why ET's mentality is still cheerful & positive(coz she always protected ET). She's been guarding her for years since ET's mother was gone.  Like what she did with the spinach. When ET's cousin tried to eat, something bad happened to them (one cut her finger, the other one choked ) && don't forget when ET's classmate tried to take a pic of ET & KS but the door of the car nearby suddenly opened. 

8. (Not a theory but a Question) I'm still in doubt with the relation of KS & the queen. It's because of  these lines :

 

I'm confused, they can't be lovers, they can't be siblings because of this line. Maybe close friends (like someone in the forum said, forgot who sorryyyy) ---or maybe it's because of the translation err

Im sorry if some of the theories were repeated. I don't have much time to read everything. Everyone is making a buzz on this age gap thingy and the fact that the female lead will play as a highschooler. I would like to share my opinion about this.  For someone who's into those kind of genre im ALL IN.  But there's no really age gap issues.  The male lead is immortal and he doesnt really age physically and time has stopped or is meaningless to him. He was stucked to his age before he became an immortal. If he's ever paired with a 20s woman the difference with their "age"  is insignificant compared to the difference with a highschool student.  It's too large that the small diff wouldnt matter anymore.  It is more probable he will fall for someone in their youth(innocence) because its something he might have forgotten(he's been alive for too long) and through this youth he'll remember he was once living.  IDK im not really good with explaining and I cant express everything but for me highschooler is a fine choices  for an immortal goblin.

ps: I have just went through some of the old  posts in this thread , and I am really sad to see that many comments are bashing and belittling the talent of KGE and reducing her to her appearance,  that doesn't suit some of the tastes! In my eyes she is so unique and beautiful. Her smile is just so charming . It makes all her face so radiant ! I don't see how is she seen as ugly at all? and her physic is no joke . Why do people only appreciate artificial beauty? only those who had some job done to their faces are considered beautiful. Or top actresses with natural beautiful faces but little talent in acting are well received and loved by the audience . This is so sad.  KGE is one hell of a good actress and she portrayed Seol character in CITT perfectly . She was supposed to not dress prettily and not care much about her outfits coz Seol was  from a poor family and a hard working student. She was so perfect and her acting and look fitted the characters perfectly . So many times I saw those pretty faces actresses showing some awkward acting and no body complains about that . At least for KGE when she cried, I cried along and when she was happy it made me automatically in a good mood. Long story short, I wish her best of luck in this drama and I hope she will never be discouraged by those stupid comments about her look. She is a young beautiful, fresh-faced and competent actress. Kim GoEun FTW :*

I love you so much <3 KIM GO EUN FTW INDEED. SHE DESERVES THIS DRAMA. (I have to admit I was overwhelmed, didn't expect her to get casted with these A+++++++++ ACTORS ADHHCNAD I mean she's new to the scene OMG SO PROUD OF HER)

I'm so excited for this drama because of Kim Go Eun. She was
new to the scene but already had this opportunity to work
with the finest actors. MY PAPA GONGYOO & DONGWOOK QFJADJJ.
THIS IS A GREAT HONOR. I ASSURE YOU GUYS SHE WON'T DISAPPOINT
YOU! She's a great actress, I already watched her movies
(Including r19+ A Muse ) and she's really natural! She's not
glamorous/gorgeous type of actress but she has the charisma
to make you fall for her!

I admit tho that I was disappointed this was not offered to
YEH, when Gong Yoo first confirmed I was praying to all Gods
for YEH to be casted. SHE NEEDS THIS. SHE & PAPA GONGYOO NEEDS TO
REUNITE. SHE NEEDS A GOOD DRAMA OR A HIGH VIEWERSHIP RATING
DRAMA ATLEAST.
