As far as I know Korean wives do not necessarily follow their husbands' family names. As for my Korean mother-in-law, she retains her maiden name. Korea has an extensive family registry database. People can check who is married to whom. On her passport, however, the husband's name is reflected in case foreign countries will ask why the Korean wife does not use his husband's name.
So in the future (already manifesting to the Universe that they are getting married) when YJ renews her passport, it will appear like this:
Son Eon Jin (wife of Kim Tae Pyung)
Just imagining this scenario, I'm already feeling so giddy excited!!!

Real happiness comes from having a grateful heart. I think this is exactly what we are feeling right now as we all feel so thankful for the shower of BinJin blessings recently. Let's continue keeping a thankful heart and taking care of our beloved couple. I'm assuming they also feel the same way for us. Their win in BAA reaffirmed the love millions of people around the world have for them.

When in doubt, just go back to the grocery photo and the recent interview of HB with MetroStyle. The way HB talked about SYJ in his own interview spoke a lot about his high regard for her. We couldn't expect a couple to act so comfortably with each other with fellow workers in the industry around them and with millions of fans analyzing their every move from a distance.

Baeksang might be the biggest award-giving body in Korea, but I hope CLOY/SYJ/HB will still be recognized by other award-giving bodies, international ones if possible. I can't believe no major award has been given to them except for Best Supporting Actress. Haaaay.. Thank God BinJin were still present in the event and received the popularity award together.

Let's continue wishing our dear couple strength and happiness. It's not easy to build or maintain a relationship especially for public figures like them. Just keeping a low-profile married life from my gossipy neighbors and relatives is already difficult. What more for them given their status?
Their decision to lay low or stay away from the public eye means that they truly value their relationship-- whatever stage or level they are at right now. I remember my Korean husband asked me to lessen my presence in social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram as he did not want other people interfering or watching our marriage and family life. I knew back then and until now that he considers our marriage sacred.
At the end of the day, I always pray that if it BinJin are really meant to be together, I hope the universe and the higher being find ways to make it happen. In His perfect time and will, may they be united in marriage and be blessed with a happy family. Goodness! I never prayed so hard for celebrities until I came to know this kind-hearted and beautiful couple.

Competition is tough, but I will keep praying for CLOY team victory.
Korea has eased up a bit on their quarantine/distancing measures. I hope even a small audience can attend so we can have the BTS of our couple. Self-serving, I know. Hehe. It's a small treat for fans as they have a big role for the success of any drama or film.
