What a coincidence… I guess, I am not the only who wants at least a 2 episode extension. The discussion about the extension in the mid of the drama has really affected the flow.......

I dont ussually coment when it comes to this kind of topic, but your post moved me, so I feel like I have to answer and thank you for posting it.
You hit it right girl. Everybody has their own preference. If I dont enjoy or like the drama I dont stick around I just simply drop it. Coz there is nothing I could do to change it if I dont enjoy or like the story flow or the actress and actors. Han Ga In and rest of the cast and crew are working hard to give us this kind of pleasure and entertaintment. Underated or Overated ratings still speak in the end.
If I may add, I really love reading comments here in soomp but there are instances, I deliberately skipped parts which endlessly criticizing the actors as it will somewhat affect my views regarding the actors, actress or the show itself. Admit it or not, sometimes, what we read affects or casts doubts about what we are actually seeing or believing so in order not to be swayed by others’ beliefs I honestly leave it out and I just enjoyed the show as its story unfolds. I am not saying that voicing out dissatisfaction about the drama is unacceptable, that’s why this is a forum BUT we readers have a CHOICE whether to be influenced or not.

There's no such thing as a "perfect drama" after all.
I understand all your points especially on Han Ga In's acting and her chemistry with Kim Soo Hyun.
Oh well, there are and there will be criticisms with regards to this.
Yet, I don't think it's strong enough to pull the show down
not because a lot of people already invested in the drama but
because they can see something in Han and her pairing with Kim.
They totally changed every detail of the story since they don't want to copy the book at all.
The show wants to be distinct from the book. It's not right to always drag the book details when we're almost done here.
I also think that the comparison of the child and adult leads will be endless. Seriously.
Alright, these child stars were incredible on the first 6 episodes (since they do sageuks even before)
but the adults weren't that bad too. You can't expect their characters to be the same as they were 8 years ago.
It's frustrating that some always see the glass half emptied rather than it is half filled.

It’s a good thing that I am not so critical about the show more so the actors. At least I have been enjoying it to the fullest without any resentment. It's almost over now, we can only wish to have a really good and memorable ending...

I agree with you on just about everything! However, when it comes to Yeon Woo.. other than the acting, Han Ga In can't control much else. The lines are given to her, so she can't say something other than "Keep the truth hidden" or whatever... I think we need to blame the writers for that. i mean after she regained her memory, the look on her face was so revengeful, the way she said "the girl will not cry out again" was soooo badass! And then after that she's all like, "oh i just need to be by you that's all" which is incredibly sweet... but dull. We can't exactly blame HGI for that. We can however blame her acting.. lol. I think it would make what we ARE given, if HGI was able to put more emotion into it... I really do wonder what happened to her acting that improved so much in 15 and 16! I mean seriously! in episode 17 and 18 whenever Hwon and her are together and they're crying, I always break down in tears because of KSH's crying and acting... and then HGI makes some weird crying sounds and then the moment just gets ruined -__- BUT! I do give her credit because I have watched Witch YooHee and Bad Guy, which she has been the lead, and TMTES is the BEST she's ever done at acting. Also, regarding the chemistry issue you brought up, I actually do see some chemistry between them.. I thought their chemistry in the beginning of episode 18 when she holds his hand isn't too bad (: her flirting with him actually was pretty good
and again, compared to everyone else she's been paired with in a drama, she definitely has the best chemistry with KSH. Ahh, maybe she's way toooooo in love with Mr. Vampire Prosecutor that having chemistry with anyone else is difficult (; hahahI am in agreement with you… Actually, actors can only act what has been given to them; it is true that they should present it in accordance with their interpretation BUT THERE IS A DIRECTOR WHO IS GUIDING THEM ABOUT HOW HE WANTED TO PORTRAY A PARTICULAR SCENE. As I’ve said before, I don’t think the director will give an OK sign if he is not satisfied.
I think one major weakness of the series is about the SHODDY EDITING. Since episode 7 or 8, they have been shooting almost live to the broadcast resulting to goofs. In episode 16 and 18 in particular, the teaser came out few hours before the broadcasts and everyone noticed that there are scenes in the teaser which were not broadcasted in the actual episodes. In addition, we have seen the behind the scenes right? One scene doesn’t necessarily mean, they have shoot it only once but twice or more, so it is up to the editor and the PD to choose which scene should be broadcasted but we don’t know if it is because of time constraint or the effect of the strike that they seems to rush and has not been able to double check thoroughly the episode to be broadcasted.
That’s the reason why everybody prefer the DVD director’s cut as it includes cut scenes and most of them have been re-edited. Do you have any news when it will come out??? I guess, I need to buy one..

THIS! Yes, I too have been waiting for a reunion! (for the last 4 episodes *quoted image*) It's like they keep dragging that part out. I don't understand how YW/Wol hasn't gone to see them yet. I mean, the VERY MINUTE she figures out who she is, wouldn't she run to her mother? (and brother?) There have been hints that her family would be in danger but ... YW/Wol is out wandering around the palace with Hwon at night where anyone could see her which is also dangerous! This seems to be another huge hole in the script to me.
UNLESS (just had this thought) does she not want Minhwa to see her? Is she hiding from Minhwa for some reason? I know she doesn't want her brother to find out what a monster he's married to, she wants to keep Minhwa's involvement a secret so maybe that's why she hasn't gone running to her mom? I am also contemplating why they delay the Heo family reunion. Aside from MW, I believe they don’t want to put the family in peril. Hwon is aware that Yoon knows that YW is alive, the fact that they sent an assassin to the infirmary is a manifestation that they intend to kill her. I made the assumption that they are just being cautious thinking that Yoon has surely put spies to monitor YW’s family movement. YW’s life is at risk and so as her family, that’s why Hwon hid her in his chamber as they feel that it is the safest place for her. Not until they have been able to reinstate her of her status and the baddies have been eliminated, I don’t think we will be able to see the reunion that we all have been waiting for.
Chingu, as per the 70 minute rule, I believe it is inclusive of CFs. As I've mentioned before, I counted the CFs before the MoonSun and it is more than 30CFs! That's mainly the reason why MBC is insisting for at least 4 episode extension.
As for MW
, I rest my case already. I don't want to comment regarding her as she is has been labeled as the most commented character in the series, maybe even more than the leads... hahha!-----------
Sorry but I can't help myself, I REALLY LOVE THE START OF EPISODE 18!!!! The first night together is just DAEBAK! I can't help but giggle and scream to death! hahhaha! HGI's strength is really acting cute and being a tease! a BEAUTIFUL TEASE! KSH, why do I feel that you are giggling as much as we do???
There are two episodes left for us... I still cannot accept the fact that it will be ending this Thursday. huhuhu

Honestly, I wanted to see Cha Seung Won and Kim Sun Ah in another project. KSA is truly the Queen of comedy, nobody does it better than her and after seeing CSW as Dok Go Jin, I can only dream of seeing them in one rom-com project. haay! Sad that the story needs someone who is younger than her.
IMHO, I want Jae Hee to take the role. If there is a person who can match KSA's comedic prowess, it will be Jae Hee and I think they can be able to pull off a great chemistry together.
Seems that MBC is really going for resurrection this year!

I believe, he doesn't want to be a King but he wants to be acknowledged by his father as his first born or his son.
AS for his wish regarding YW, I believe it is not necessarily having YW by his side but to make her happy and safe. The only way he can make her happy is allow her to stay with Hwon's side and by being safe, it means to eliminate all those people who plotted for her death. He will never ever rebel against Hwon, simply because he is aware that rebelling against Hwon will simply means rebelling against YW. Since young, it is always been her wish, for YM to be there to help Hwon. In addition, joining hands with Yoons is synonymous to putting his sword directly towards the Heos and it is the least he will do to the people who has treated him as their family particularly to his teacher who practically treated him as his own son.
If MW's love is selfish, I believe YM's love for YW is the exact opposite. MW being the spoiled youngest royal child, YM on the other hand will prove himself to be the first born. The one who will take care of her younger siblings.

Don't mind those people. I believe they are complaining because of the kiss. Maybe those people are expecting some kind of my princess kiss. haay! Forget about them dear. hehhehe!! I love how they looked at each other prior to the kiss, if you watched closely she kinda open her mouth a little to meet his lips.
It was such as sweet kiss. My only complaint is that the camera moved 360 degrees which made me feel dizzy. -

It is logical as they are not aware yet of MW's involvement. I think YW even told Seol not to tell her family considering MW is with them. I just hope that they will not make it as this week's cliffhanger like what they have done in the last two weeks. -

As for YM, I am not afraid about him going real bad. He loves YW but he has already accepted the defeat since he admitted that Wol is in fact YW. What concerns him most is her safety. The mere fact that he didn't kill Hwon during the sword fight is a clear manifestation that he cannot bring harm to his brother. I guess, he will always be the HYUNG protecting his little brother. I just hope that Hwon will show a little compassion to him.

Just an observation, I like the idea of the kiss and the proposal inside the hall where Hwon is meeting the ministers who plotted YW's death. The kiss can be done inside the Hidden Moon pavilion right? It is more memorable for them but the proposal and kissing scene inside the court room is somewhat showing off to those ministers that here is my Queen, you plotted something against her but she has returned to my side and all of you should witness how I am going to restore her to her rightful place and to all those people involve will receive what is due to them.
Another thing I love about this episode is Hwon being a step ahead of Minister Yoon in terms of NK's safety. It makes me happy to see that NK has escape death this episode and I hope to see her alive till the end.

What I love most about this episode is that KSH and HGI seems to be more comfortable with each other. I believe that there are still some people who questioned the chemistry between them prior to this episode, as if there is a hidden barrier between them BUT THIS EPISODE BREAKS THAT BARRIER! Anyone who will dispute the chemistry between HW and YW need their eyes checked.
Jung Il Woo is really good particularly in the emotional scenes! My heart breaks for him but I cannot ship with him. Mianhe..

I think for the hairpin, there are two because it should be given for the crown princess right? When BK ascended to the spot of the new crown princess, they made one for her but Hwon never gave it to her since there is only one crown princess in his heart.

After the light kiss at 0.26 why do I feel that it is KSH who am I seeing and not Hwon the character. hehehhe! I really wanted to see the behind the scene as KSH has always been naughty and playful. Seeing him jealous is really entertaining but I want to see him blush as well. haay!

That is what NK told to YW, that somebody must pray for her demise in order to get her wish. I'd like to give MW the benefit of the doubt that the grandama doesn’t really tell her exactly what her participation in the rites until we fully see the complete conversation between Dowager and MW. Knowing the grandama’s character, I believe that she somewhat deceived MW. Do you honestly believe that during the rites she can be able to pray for YW’s death? Once a person witness something like that, do you think she will still be in his right mind to do as what has been instructed her to do? The girl is full of fear and trembling when we saw her at the end so I don’t think that she has really done her part other than being offered. At that time, she is just around 11 years old and I must say a spoiled brat. Granted that she knows what she wants but you cannot say that the child will ever foresee or consider the consequences of her action. In addition, with or without MW, the grandma and minister Yoon will one way or another find a way to kill YW. It is just that during that time, MW was there as a perfect bait. They will be able to fulfill their mission to kill YW and to avoid being punished that’s the reason why they used her instead of BK.
I never say that MW is not guilty as she has been an accomplice but as I’ve said I pity her character for having a grandma who is as manipulative as the evil QD who uses her granddaughter for personal benefits instead of guiding her to the right path and I hate her character because she cannot change what has been done, it is part of the past but she cannot just feel guilty or repent for her sin, her husband and mother in law ought to know the truth.

After watching episodes 15 and 16 with english sub, here is my 2 cents regarding YM and Hwon’s love for Wol.
I don’t think YM has completely forgotten YW and he doesn’t see her in Wol. When he bids goodbye to Wol in the infirmary, he told her that he will not be back and thanks for being alive and he just want to check and see her ugly face again, in addition to that, he pinch her in the forehead, a mannerism he used to do to YW. When he is saying that he can give up YW for Wol, I think he is lying to himself. It is his only way to have a chance against Hwon, he sees her as YW but we wants her as Wol simply because he is aware that he cannot in anyway be able to own YW. But when she is Wol, a shaman, he will have a better chance of swaying her feelings as Hwon will never sacrifice his position as a King for a shaman.
When Hwon and YW met at the hidden moon palace, I believe Hwon told her that he doesn’t want to see her again because of jealousy. He thought that she wanted to stay in the infirmary because of YM and she is willingly admitting the crime of seducing a royalty (YM) thus she doesn’t want him to send her to another place. Actually, I believe that his intention for offering to transfer her is partly because he wanted to hide her from YM and to protect her as well.

As per BK’s ending, I guess I wanted her to be crazy than dead. She is really good at acting one and I enjoyed it!
Kidding aside, I think it is the best revenge for Minister Yoon and their clan. I mean, YW has been ousted in the palace because of an unidentified sickness and they use it against the entire Heo family. If they found out that BK is insane, there is no way they will allow her to stay as the Queen moreover to bear an heir. In addition, her condition will surely affect the whole Yoon clan. There is no way they can still handle any government position. If she really gone crazy, it will bring down the Yoon clan together with her wits. ON MIN WHA:
Regarding MW, I pity her. Heo family has been so good to her and treated her as their savior. Can you imagine the torture she has been enduring all those 8 years particularly when she learned that it is not just YW but indirectly, she is responsible for killing the father as well? I don’t think evil granny has told her everything from the very beginning. I don’t think she is fully aware of her role. It is just that, the granny has found a weapon in MW’s character, a perfect scapegoat. What an opportunist grandma. IF there’s one thing I really despise about her character is that she has not been courageous enough to admit her mistakes and to free herself from guilt. She cannot live like that for her entire existence, only truth can set her free.

I suppose there is no juvenile delinquency law at that time.. Surely MW will be exempted for criminal liability given her age at the commission of crime..
