Five Fun Facts About Park Soo Ae
Park Soo Ae stars as Kim In Hye in the film "The Flu." When a deadly strain of avian influenza or bird flu breaks out at the rate of 2,000 new cases an hour, Kim In Hye risks her own life to find a cure.
Park took the role because she says that she often catches the flu herself and was intrigued by the idea that it could spread so quickly and cause so many deaths. But she also took the part because she is an actress who constantly likes to challenge herself with new and interesting roles.
Her most popular roles were in the films "Sunny" and "Midnight FM." She played an empress in love in the film "The Sword With No Name" and a woman with Alzheimer's disease in the drama "A Thousand Years Promise." She starred as an ambitious woman who wants to be First Lady in the drama "Yawang."
Here are a few facts you may not know about this actress;
1. She nearly became a member of an idol group. Recruited by an agent while she was still in high school, she practiced for six months but never made an album. "I didn't sing well," she said. "But the six months I spent with the team was fun. I was lucky to get into acting."
2. She has long been friendly with actor Uhm Tae Woong. They enjoy sharing meals and talking about acting but it remains a brother-sister relationship.
3. Several stars have described her as their ideal woman. Those stars include Jang Geun Suk and Kim Tae Won, but she has never dated either of them. What does she look for in a man? Someone who can communicate well remains a top priority. "Dramas and movies are full of attractive men," she said. "But I would like someone who will support me and cheer me on. Tall, good-looking men are common. But it's difficult to meet someone who really communicates well."
4. Her hobbies are swimming, tennis and playing pool. Soo Ae learned to swim for her role in "A Thousand Day's Promise" which featured an underwater kissing scene. She unintentionally drank a lot of water filming that scene, but you would never know how inexperienced she was by looking at her performance.
5. Her own background has helped the actress to understand the importance of a helping hand.
Last year she donated around $93,000 to charity. "I hope that my donation can be used to help underprivileged children living in Bong Cheon city," said the actress of the neighborhood she grew up in. "This is a small way of showing my appreciation for all the love and support I received from everyone." -

Hong Soo-hyeon and Lee Sang-yeob in "Give Love Away"
Hong Soo-hyeon and Lee Sang-yeob have been cast as leading roles for the new MBC drama "Give Love Away". Hong Soo-hyeon takes on the role of Song Mi-joo, a young but sincere character. She's a contracted employee at a bank but is always hard working.
Hong Soo-hyeon has been acknowledged for her feminine characters which she's acted out in past dramas and projects so far. She is going to put on a realistic role of a modern woman who has to live in today's society.
On the other hand, Lee Sang-yeob takes on the role of Jeong Jae-min, an immature looking character but a deep thinker. He thinks dearly of Song Mi-joo and although he doesn't show it, he has a painful memory of his parents from when he was young.
Recently, Lee Sang-yeob has been a character who protects the leading women in dramas and Jeong Jae-min in "Give Love Away" is going to be Daddy Long Legs.
Meanwhile, "Give Love Away" will be broadcasted this September after "Gold, Appear!". -
Choi Yoon-yeong-I and Lee Sang-yeob, to star in MBC Chuseok Special
MBC came up with "The Greatest Thing in the World" in special celebration of Chuseok.
"The Greatest Thing in the World" is a romantic comedy about singles mothers and adopted babies.
Producer Lee Eun-gyoo who dealt with the matter of bullying in "Ugly Cake" is producing "The Greatest Thing in the World" and it stars Choi Yoon-yeong-I, Lee Sang-yeob, Jeon Ah-min, Goo Eun-ae, Maeng Se-chang, Kim Hee-jeong-I and more.
Choi Yoon-yeong-I takes on the role of Woo-seon, a strong minded woman with an even stronger ego. Lee Sang-yeob takes on the role of John Harrison who was adopted to Australia when he was young.
Jeon Ah-min is Woo-seon's ex-boyfriend Han Jae-soo, Goo Eun-ae is Jae-soo's new girlfriend So Yoo-ri. They are both from theater musical and conflict with Woo-seon in the drama. Maeng Se-chang and Kim Hee-jeong-I takes on the roles of single father and mother Bo-hyeon and Ja-yoo.
"The Greatest Thing in the World" will be aired during the holidays and is made up of two 70-minute parts. -
Soo-ae shows interest in Hyung Sik
Actress Soo-ae showed interest in Hyung Sik of ZEA.
She said, "I have seen Hyung Sik in the program "Real Men"" during an interview with MBC "Section TV".Park Seul-gi said, "Soo-ae knows you. You can smile today".
However, Soo-ae couldn't answer the question, 'What song did he sing?' -

SOO AE WEARS VALENTINO TO 'THE FLU' VIP PREMIERE
South Korean actress, Soo Ae (수애) attended the VIP premiere of 'The Flu (감기) held at Wangsimni CGV in Seoul, South Korea on August 7, 2013.
Unlike her Lanvin dress at the press conference, Soo Ae (수애) opted for a more adorable and cute dress for the premiere. Her black dress with an organza layered skirt is from Valentino Pre Fall 2013 collection. Christian Louboutin 'Bianca' pumps to complete her look.
Overall, the permed hair and dress gave her an adorable look. I definitely prefer this look over the Lanvin dress. What do you think? Love it or hate it? -

Actor Lee Sang Yup and model-actress Gong Hyun Joo are dating!
Gong Hyun Joo's label confirmed the news stating, "When we checked, we were told that they have been dating for 6-7 months." Lee Sang Yup's label also confirmed, "They're dating. They've known each other while, but they started dating recently."
They've went on dates to musicals and enjoy spending time together at a small cafe. They first met as sunbae-hoobae, and recently got close to start dating.
Lee Sang Yup also posted, "I think you all saw the article. I was really surprised, but I felt apologetic to all of you. I'm sorry that you had to find out through an article, even though you should have known first as people who loved and cared for me. A New Celebrity Couple Is Born: Lee Sang Yeob & Gong Hyun Joo <:-P
A new celebrity couple has been announced! Actors Lee Sang Yeob (29) and Gong Hyun Joo (29) have been reported to be dating.
On August 6, according to eNEWS, Lee Sang Yeob and Gong Hyun Joo started off with a good senior and junior relationship. Gong Hyun Joo assisted Lee Sang Yeob with his Chinese debut, which is how the relationship developed into boyfriend and girlfriend.
Lee Sang Yeob’s agency, Sidus, commented, “The two started off as friends and have developed into a dating relationship.”
After new broke out, Lee Sang Yeob apologized to his fans through his fan cafe.
“I think all of you saw the news. I was also very shocked but the only thing that troubled me was you all. You have shown me love and support and you all should have been the first to know but because this news broke out first, I’m very sorry,” he confessed.
He added, “I’m sorry that I didn’t think of you first and care for you first and with that heart, I will work harder with my acting. I will show you a better side of me. I will come back with good news later on. Have a good night.”
Gong Hyun Joo started off her career by participating in the 2001 super model competition. Since then, she has built up her acting resume and has been recognized for her role in the 2008 KBS drama, “You Are My Destiny.” In 2010, “You Are My Destiny” started to air in China, which launched her Chinese career as well. Recently, Gong Hyun Joo has been working as the MC of a special global program that is aired in fifteen different countries.
Lee Sang Yeob debuted in 2007 through the KBS drama, “A Happy Woman.” His popularity rose through the recent KBS drama, “Nice Guy” and led to him being cast in “Jang Ok Jung, Live For Love.” He is currently looking forward to a Chinese debut through the film, “Former Raiders.”

The Master’s Sun and Two Weeks are going head-to-head
MBC’s The Queen’s Classroom and I Hear Your Voice are ending this week. Following this, both MBC and SBS are releasing new dramas on August 7 simultaneously, and many are wondering which show will grab all the ratings.
They both have interesting premises: The Master’s Sun is a romantic horror drama about a greedy CEO who slowly falls in love with a woman who can see ghosts. Two Weeks is about one man who lives a meaningless life, who is then falsely accused of a murder, and learns he has a daughter who is suffering from leukemia; he then tries to save her life over the course of two weeks.
The fierce competition is on! Of which do you think the successor will be? -

Actress Soo Ae almost debuted as an idol rapper?
Actress Soo Ae, whom we last saw on the small screen through 'Queen of Ambition' revealed a surprising tidbit of information from her pre-debut days!
In an interview on the latest episode of 'Entertainment Relay', the beautiful actress revealed that she had originally trained to be an idol group member. "Before I debuted, I was a trainee preparing for a girl group," she said. "I was a rapper."
"I don't have any talent in dancing or singing," she continued. "This is the same now as it was then. But they told me that rap was something I could learn with effort. So I prepared myself to work really hard."
Unfortunately, though, her idol career didn't pan out. "I didn't debut and stayed a trainee. There were some things in life that just working hard couldn't accomplish."
Fortunately for her career, she ended up having a change of heart, and now she's one of Korea's most popular actresses!
Can you imagine Soo Ae as an idol rapper?
* Well, for me I'd like to see Unnie as solo ballad singer rather than rapper if she has made it to the audition to sing. However, I'm glad that she has changed her career to acting as she is at her best.
