    The guy didn't shoot Captain Yoo rather he was shot from behind by a group in a van. He is also the guy that Yoo Shi Jin fought in the DMZ line during the first episode. He is the one that ended up in the hospital with Captain Yoo.

    With makes sense, because if I'm not mistaken, MA in Korea is 4 years. Plus the 10 years of active service, it leaves a year that I assume is the amount he spent in West Point, as he told Mo-yeon as a credential for his English skills. 

     

     

     

    So MA (4years) + West Point (1year) + Active Service (10years) = 15 years in (sexy) uniform. :P

     

     

    Then how old would Mo Yeon be? We know she has to be a bit older than him...

    OMG Doctor Song is hilarious!!!! I can believe that he would just simply join in the running just to give Nurse Ja-ae a look at his body and to prevent her from looking at the other guys.

     

     

     

    I agree with the opinion of Doctor Kang that Doctor Song is awesome for doing that. I guess Doctor Song knew what he wanted and that is Nurse Ja-Ae. Of course the next episode 13 and 14 will be next week. We are drawing closer to the ending, but I feel that the director is great! He can squeeze a whole story plot into one episode.

     

     

     

    However, I wonder what that stupid Director is going to do to our Doctor Kang. (Sighs) After all the crew is back in Korea but since she got a boyfriend that also return to Korea. It makes me scratches my head...but I am glad Doctor Kang will be giving Shi-Jin a chance and trying to figure out how to handle him.

    Why big boss and wolf were chosen as the call signs? I guess cause the captain is the only always calling the shots and everybody listens to his commands. He is like the big boss of everything. Wolf, cause he speaks little but packs a punch and lethal bite and is really fierce.

    Thank you very much. So for instance the signs Harry Potter and Piccolo would be frown upon because it's too lengthy? Sorry for the questions. I am just curious by nature and I tend to do intensive research when I read. When doing recaps I had to include DMX actual name including the history behind them when I saw the first episode. Not to mention I was researching mines when he quoted the mine name and kept on slamming my head on the table when I wonder if they use pressure plates since there was no trip wire.

     

     

     

    To the before post usually Commission Officer goes through training in Academies such as West Point. *Shrugs* I could be wrong.

    This is a great show! No wonder so many people are following it. Firstly, it portrays exactly how does one feel for each other in the army.     For those who didn't went to the army before, let me tell you something cool. In the show the main char is a captain. A captain is a junior officer rank whereby they are appointed to be of company level command rank/status. They usually head a company of soldiers which consists of platoons and platoons consists of men. In a company, the captain is the overall commanding officer. He is usually commissioned and is assisted with the sergeant major. Which is Jin Joo. When I was a platoon commander, I too had my platoon seargeant where we both would work very closely together just to execute our missions and make sure the welfare and morale of our men are taken note of. 

     

     

     

    Yes,commissioned officer seems cool but everything could not be done if there was no help of the non-commissioned officer. The very healthy relationship in this show between the 2 main characters is very very admirable. In the real military world, there are bound to be politics and pushover of ranks, but seeing the 2 of them working so hard together, entrusting each other lives in both parties really made me shed a tear.

     

     

     

    The military aspect in this show is really accurate i gotta hand it to them, so meticulous planned. What I liked about Jin Joo is that he saw a spark in that young punk in episode 1 and brought him in to the military. I myself had sent people into detention barracks and had new recruits under me. The moment whereby they come in like a piece of richard simmons, but after that they really change into someone you never expect them to turn out, yet they are still grateful to you. That is what the army can do. Turn boys into real man. 

     

     

     

    But maybe it is due for the funny element of the show. The female First Lt, commanding Jin Joo around was really cuteee. Hahah, we always joked in the army that we would take on any orders and punishment if it was from a female officer. ( you know how little females there are. ) But what the show is trying to highlight here is something the audience should understand. Why are they being frowned upon? 

     

     

     

    Because in the military, ranks are the most pinnacle thing one refers to and even salutes. If your a commissioned officer, the military takes better care of you and have better monetary welfare benefits for you too. Fun fact, if a captain and a sergeant is on a commercial plane chartered to go overseas training, do you know the first and business class seats are for commissioned officers only. Sergeants and men would take the normal seats ( economy class ) this is how big the difference is. They sleep differently to prevent fraternization to occur. 

     

     

     

    So how can a commander of the special force whom has such an awesome doctor, soldier as a daughter have a lowly nco to be the boyfriend? It would immediately pass of as a laughing stock to the whole military world. I know it might sound childish, but when I was first watching the show and I realized a nco and officer are dating? How could that possibly happen!?! ( yea sounds abit like the indian caste system, i am sorry hahaha ) Glad the show portrayed this aspect and yea, hope they get together in the end. Jin Joo is great NCO material, would be a loss to the Korea country if he went to lead a civilian life. 

     

     

     

    Fun fact, I think that their uniform are changed to khaki sand color is because they are operating in the desert, its a complimentary thing to do so. I guess the show modeled them after the ISAF. With US military leading as the head joint ops. Google International Security Force for more info.

    Actually your information is quite informative. If you could provide some resources on aspects of the interactions and also the structure of the military it would be great. Also how often does changing platoon occur? Also if you have any information on call signs, I would be grateful.  I was reading up on call signs and it states that mostly calls signs were usually given if there were bloopers.     I feel this years amount of quality dramas are much better. Though the OST from all the years are the best! I am sure the Cast of DOTS would be going around for interview and press stuff to fan promotions. It's going to be a busy year for them~

     

     

     

    Also this would open up more opportunities for them all, which is the best and they can acquire many projects after this.

    Ahpheng I want to note that my family and I were all thinking the same way as the image you made. XD It's so hilarious we thought that MJ was all jealous of MY thinking she and DY were meeting up. XD However, her reaction on the end to MY doesn't really show she believes such a silly thing.

    I have been contemplating posting my fan fiction here. It's quite intimidating  however, I just couldn't get a though out of my head in regards to Song Sang-hyun and Ha Ja-ae. So please forgive all my grammar and spelling mistakes. I don't get much time to edit since I am walking and typing at the same time.

    I don't think he is hit by the virus. For one he was not hit by the blood. The eyelid of Myung Joo has blood closer to her eye when she cut the lymph. Whereas Mo Yeon didn't get any inside, so most likely the staff are safe.

    The comedy of embarrassment for Mo Yeon is absolutely adorable. I have to say the reactions are dead on to a real situation if I were to be face with such a thing I want to run away and avoid the person in embarrassment. Of course this brings along questions to me on whether or not Yellow Tiger made a visit because he learns that Yoo Shi Jin (Yoo Si Jin) has kissed another girl and that the girl reciprocates his affection. This would mean that his daughter is sheer out of luck which I am sure she is thankful.

    It also means that since he is taken now that Dae Young would have a chance to be with Myung Joo. However, I got a bit confused on the portion that talks about how the father gives Dae Young a chance to quit the army and join Myung Joo company (Confused here) and work for them up the ranks til he would be worthy of his daughter. I might have to wait for better translations to understand this portion, but could this be somehow related to Shi Jin and Dae Young being in black suits with ear pieces like body guards?

    I heard that the chinese translations were pretty accurate and eloquent...*Shrugs*

    He always seem to have a load of smooth lines, though in real life I am not sure if females would take it well if he wasn't inside the show haha...it's absolutely wild...but then he might be feeling confident due to her unintentional spewing confession on that audio of her phone. But it makes me wonder--is her phone water proof?? How did it survive the fall and drowning of the car?
