Live (the one in the same building as Korean BBQ City) has really sticky floors O_O And those spastic lights made me feel like I was having a seizure. The tv's big and everything else was fine though.

A tad too predictable at times but still good fun to watch. I really like the rock they're playing in the background, suits the situation. It seems pretty low budget for a drama but it's all good. Erika Toda is okay-ish. Her scared/frightened look gets a little old at times but she can be really cute when she's being naive and "too honest for her own good". There are some scenes that feel very much like an amateur horror film. I'm going to be a fan girl and say Matsuda Shota <333 Frankly, his acting is on par of Erika Toda's and he hasn't really showed that much of a range. Only two episodes so far so I need to watch the whole series before I judge. I really like the creative storyline, it's the thing that's keeping me interested.
I wonder what Nao did before the Liar Game though o-o She doesn't seem to be occupied by a job or school.
I think the tombstone Akiyama was visiting said something like Akiyama Family. I recognised the yama from Yamashita lol and the family character is the same as it is in Chinese. I could be wrong but that's my guess. I think it's the tomb of woman that Akiyama's mind keeps flashing back to.
Matsuda Shota's hair sure looks funny in this drama. I wish he would get a haircut T_T But then it suits the eccentric role he has in this drama.

There's something about the pair that doesn't look quite right o-o I need to see this drama before I draw conclusions on them as a couple. He should smile more! Masami's totally smiling and he doesn't really have any expression.

^There aren't definite dates for the realse of subs as it's all volunteer work and has to fit aroudn the schedule of subbers. The best thing to do is just patiently wait and check on the Sublimes site for released. Asking about when the subs come out will only annoy the subbers and some subbing groups even delay the release of subs when people are continuously asking.
I know this wasn't that funny of an episode but I cracked up at Jimmy Lin's angry face. My sister and I burst out laughing the instant we saw. Another noteworthy hilarious moment includes Fa Ge's (the gangster guy who was going to chop off Ah Xing arm in ep 2 I think) getup for the competition. He looks so RIDICULOUS XDD

Thanks for all the spoilers you guys have been posting on AF ^^Is the book an actual novel? Or is like a mixture of text and photos?
Has anyone see the BTS footage where HaNa (they call her Nana don't they?) calls Jimmy old? It's so cute, they're on the beach and they had to lie in the sand in this adorable position. I kept wondering if she was supposed to be pregnant in the video because she had on this pink dress that was a bit big, looked like one that pregnant women wear O_O I wonder where the scene fits into.
It is so hilarious when Jimmy tries to pick up HaNa because he can't do it properly. He ends up kneeing her in the back one time hahaha.

Oh I bet Jimmy will look great with a cold look. I love the sceptical look on his face when he was trying to tell whether AX was lying or not. Yeh I don't think I'm over the fact that's he's thirty-two.
It probably will get heart wrenchingly sad later on. We'll probably all want to claw out Ya Ruo's eyes lol. Well I think some of us are ready to already.
heartmonster Any places that sell Asian books in your area? We have Kinokuniya in Sydney which might possibly have it. I'd say Yesasia's your best bet though.

Ya Ruo spills the beans to Ah Xing about Tian Qi's identity when Ya Ruo sees Ah Xing selling her DIY jewelry. Tian Qi confronts Ya Ruo about telling Ah Xing and she in turn, tells him about the problems with E Shine and dad's health. Tian Qi agrees to go back home momentarily. Ah Xing sees Tian Qi and Ya Ruo leave together and chases after the car yelling at Tian Qi not to go. Press conference is held at E. Shine and Ah Xing meets Tian Jun (really nice to her). The press conference is to clear the bad press between Tian Qi and his father and Tian Qi and Ah Xing. Tian Qi denies any romantic involvement with Ah Xing in front of the reporters. Ah Xing sees Tian Qian on stage and he denies any/all involvement with her and of course she leaves heartbroken.
Tian Qi goes back to Tomorrow Village and stands outside in the rain yelling outside Ah Xing's room. Ah Xing goes out and tells Tian Qi how hurt she is, etc but Tian Qi of course, grabs her and holds her and tries to convince her what he said at the press conference was a means of protecting her from the claws of the paparazzi, etc. Then he passionately kisses her and.... they wake up next morning infatuated.gif and there's more kissing
Tian Qi breaks ties with his family but his dad of course, does not make it easy and gets innocent people involved. To be able to rent a store so Ah Xing can sell her jewelry, Tian Qi ends up working at a construction site. Tian Qi decides to race again because the landlord of the store said that if Tian Qi couldn't produce the 100000TWD for rent, then he's going to rent it to Tian Qi's father. And of course, he loses and is beaten and his right hand becomes crippled (but with proper therapy, etc. it shouldn't affect daily activities but doing things that require intricate movement of fingers/hand is no longer possible) Uncle Guang Ming brings Tian Qi back to the village when he's hurt and that's where Ah Xing finds out Tian Qi raced for money. At the hospital, Ah Xing calls Tian Qi's father because family has to sign the paperwork before surgery and then Ya Ruo shows up.
Meanwhile, Shi San Ge informs Ah Xing that Ni Ni needs heart surgery and he asks her to do a job with him one last time. And the selfless Ah Xing, agrees. Ah Xing is more than upset when she finds out about Tian Qi being hurt. Tian Qi's father offers Ah Xing any amount of money she wants if she leaves Tian Qi and Ah Xing remembers Ni Ni's condition (as well as how she is horrible luck to Tian Qi)...
Tian Qi's father is actually really proud of his son being a race car driver and he begs the doctors to do all that they can to save his hand since he knows Tian Qi loves racing (this part was really touching)
Reading about what Ah Xing does for 13 Ge's daughter really saddens me and makes me realise what a great person she is.
It's kind of hard to judge with TQ's father because he cares for his son but at the same time hurts the people his son loves to get back him.
I think the morning after scene is pretty soon, like ep 5 or 6.

This is 2nd hand info I got from someone who's read the book in baidu. My copy hasn't arrived in the mail. She promised to post more after ep 7. This is all I know. Don’t ask how, when, where, or why. The series may not follow the book anyway.
Since we have all watched up to ep 4. This starts after Tian Qi and Ah Xing beome a couple.

Tian Qi and Ah Xing designed a bracelet called Zhong Xia Zhi Xing (The star in the Summer's night sky, with both of their names). He put the other blue diamond in it. (The one that he wanted to give Ya Ruo in ep 1.)
Tian Qi won the Durian Prince title and his photo appeared in the news. His identity was exposed. He apologized to Ah Xing for not telling her the truth and they reconciled. His father forced him to leave Ah Xing. He severed all ties with his father and decided to stay in Tomorrow's Village. He tried to prove to Ah Xing that he could live a simple life.
Tian Qi wanted to raise money for Ah Xing so she could have her own shop. He challenged someone to a race for the money. He lost and was beaten to near-death and his right arm crippled. (I think he could still use his arm but could no longer race.) He was in the hospital unconscious. Ah Xing thought she brought him bad luck. Tian Qi's father offered Ah Xing money to leave Tian Qi. 13 Ge's baby needed surgery and asked Ah Xing for help. (Not sure if she actually took money from Tian Qi's father for the surgery or not.)
Ah Xing told her last lie to Tian Qi about taking money from his father in order to leave him. Tian Qi went home heart-broken and went into depression. His brother found Ah Xing and drove her to see Tian Qi. On the way the car crashed and Tian Jun died. Ah Xing was badly injured. Tian Qi blamed Ah Xing for his brother's death. His character changed. He locked up all emotions and went to work for E-Shine. He became a ruthless businessman. His father's health deteriorated. Ya Ruo helped him hoping that she would marry him one day. Ah Xing sold jewelries to support herself. Tian Qi tried to find her but she hid from him.
Five years went by. Ah Xing’s 6 yr old godchild, 13 Ge's daughter, lied about her age and entered her name into a competition sponsored by E-Shine where the winner would be handcuffed to a movie star (Li Wei’s character) for a day. She won but she couldn't go. She asked Ah Xing to stand in for her. Tian Qi saw on TV Ah Xing cuffed to Li Wei and got jealous. He remembered the day when he was handcuffed to Ah Xing 5 yrs ago. As the CEO of E-Shine, he had the honor of uncuffing them. Tian Qi and Ah Xing met again.
Ah Xing again hid from Tian Qi. Ah Xing's uncle copied the bracelet Zhong Xia Zhi Xing and sold them. Tian Qi sued him for trademark violation and put him in jail. (Apparently Tian Qi took the original design with him.) Tian Qi wanted to force Ah Xing to surface. They met and somehow Ah Xing went to work for E-Shine (don't ask why). Tian Qi wanted Ah Xing to go to Milan with him for a business meeting. They got married in a church in Milan. (again don't ask why. Maybe he wants to keep her under his nose in order to torture her.) He treated her coldly after they married. Ya Ruo humiliated Ah Xing publicly in the office. (His 'revenge' isn't that bad. He is a nice guy and he still loves her. Don't worry.) Everything finally cleared up and Tian Qi begged for forgiveness from Ah Xing.
Tian Qi felt sorry for Ya Ruo because he promised his brother and father to take care of her. (His father had already died.) He gave her half of his E-Shine's stocks. She used the stocks to force Tian Qi to divorce Ah Xing and marry her or she would destroy E-Shine. Tian Qi didn't want the 1000s of E-Shine workers to lose their jobs so he divorced Ah Xing. He didn't know Ah Xing was pregnant. Ah Xing couldn't help it but go to Tian Qi and Ya Ruo's wedding. Tian Qi couldn't help it but run out for Ah Xing.
In the end, paparazzi found out about Ya Ruo’s past and chased her car. She crashed and was killed. Tian Qi buried her with his brother. 13 Ge continued his life of crime and was finally caught and sent to jail. His wife, Ming Mei, died. Ah Xing and Tian Qi took care of 13 Ge's daughter and of course, baby Tian Qi.
My heart just broke for AX when I read the bit about the cold marriage with TQ. But it all ends well apparently.
I don't know how accurate this is but you can judge for yourself.

Did anyone feel frustrated at Ah Xing for lyring to Tian Qi about her feelings toward him? And the previews with her crying. Gosh I wanted to cry for her too. This always happens in dramas. LOL the condom part was absolutely hilarious. I died laughing at that part. I forgot his name but that punk that likes Ah Xing is a HUGE IDIOT. Must they always make characters like his absolute imbeciles?

I still can't believe he's 32 (well I refuse to haha). Oh man it was the poop when he said he felt nothing for Ah Xing. I guess it's true because he hasn't behaved like he likes her anyway.
LOL the gangster Fa Ge's wife(?) was hilarious. She was just so... trashy. Some aspects of this drama are so ridiculous sometimes but that's the fun of it.

Ah Ma goes off to repay the bail money to Xiao Yang's dad but he won't give her back the house deed. My Mandarin isn't top notch so I'm not sure why he wouldn't give it back.
Bi Zhu and Xin Lei go to a job interview and some man who works actually asks XL where she got her shoes from. The guy likes them so much he takes apolaroid picture of them ^^ After the interview they're sitting together talking about the situation with Shen Dong and Qin Lang.
BZ: If SD came back to look for you, it must mean he still loves you. But the important thing is, do you love him? I know it's a hard decision and I wouldn't know what to do in my situation. But QL treats you well but he isn't that rich. Look at SD, he loves you so much and his family situation isn't bad. If you back with him to Shanghai, your life won't be as difficult. And you won't have to look for work with me like this. Isn't that right?
While that scene was happening, QL was with Ah Yi and Jiu Ba Dao. QL was comparing himself to SD and how SD was better than him in every aspect. It really was quite a sad scene I felt really sorry for QL because it seemed like he'd given up on the idea of XL picking him. His friends were trying hard to think of QL's good qualities and it didn't really help the situation.
Back to XL and BZ, XL says some stuff about how it doesn't matter if the guy isn't rich or respectable, as long as you're happy when you're with him, that's all that matters. BZ is the slowest creature ever, she sits there and asks what do you mean? T_T Man I wanted to stab her character with a fork. I just don't like BZ T__T So then XL calls up QL to ask him out to tell him something important. BUTTT their meeting gets interrupted by XY and poor QL stands there waiting with his 99 roses for XL. QL really goes off with this determination to tell XL how he feels but that XY had to interrupt by dragging XL off to confront her T_T
XY was going on about her past with QL and how they've grown up together. She was saying QL was the only guy she would like. And then XY revealed to XL where Ah Ma got the bail money from. XL begs to XY to give back the house deed to Ah Mah but XY says something like you call that begging?
XY: Do you know how much I've had to go throught because of you?
XL: QL never really liked you, it was only you that thought that way. (a bit unsure about the second bit)
And then XY totally slaps XL T_T
XY: I really hate women who steal other women's boyfriends. I don't understand why Ah Ma had to do that to the house for you. You know how much trouble you've caused QL and Ah Mah? I advise you, it's best you go away from them.
That was the first twenty minutes.
Will continue tomorrow or Saturday. So tired T_T

Jimmy Lin is the new love of my life. His cool character really attracts me. This series has started off well, hope they won't drag the Tian Qi/Ah Xing romance because I won't be one happy muffin if they do T_T

I am currently loving 남자도... 어쩔 수 없다 and 반 A LOT.
He's still so pretty but with a more masculine edge ^^ I swear he looks a little like Jo Hansun in those MV caps because of his hair. I like the image he has because it's not totally manwhorish
Some things I found really interesting in his interview was the indication that he has plans to act. It's pretty cool how he can play many instruments. Lol his nicknames make him sound like a really vain guy XD Mirror prince haha.

This episode is SOOOO SADDD, even more than the episode where Xin Lei had to go to the jail. Qin Lang was pushing Xin Lei away in this episode before Shen Dong gave him this whole speech abut how QL can't provide for XL properly because she deserves to be treated better. And QL loves her so much that he's willing to give up his happiness for hers and let her go, well that's what he's thinking.
XL finally admitted that she liked QL but the saddest thing is QL tried to deny it and asked her if she was joking. He was really mad her already because SD offered his family money for looking after XL and it rubbed them the wrong way. Amah ended up inthe hospital because she collapsed after she threw a huge spazz at SD for offering the money. XL came clean about how QL and her were never actually a couple to Amah. Amah actually asked her something along the lines of if there was ever a chance XL could be QL's girlfriend. If she couldn't then she would have to tell QL, Amah said.
Can't wait for next week's episode <33

It's Pi's haircut that makes him look so youthful. Masami looked older because of the way she was dressed and the make up I think. I think when they do the high school bit though, Masami will probably look much younger.
Can't wait for this!

But her talents mean nothing when faced with the challenge known as "love".The opposite however, is Alan Luo's character (Qin Lang). He grew up in Taiwan with a strong interest in art. His grandmother who raised him since young may look down upon the interest, but tells him that art can penetrate much.
When the two very different people meet, what is it that is waiting for them around the corner? Is it unexplainable or is it just love?

The pool scene was so funny and cute! Qing Lang was hilarious when Xin Lei pushed him in and he pulled her in as well.
Ultimate line was something like, "If we're really a couple, then we should act like one," from Qin Lang and then he kissed her.
Yeh they get so serious in episode nine and ten. Everyone criticised Xiao Zhu for his acting in the first couple of episodes but you can see his acting grow much better later on. His serious expressions scare me because they're just so serious!
I want more but I don't want to watch the China version in case they cut out anything good.

^I recommend it mostly because of the chemistry between Barbie and Show. And also because Show has these frightingly serious looks that really capture the essence of the situation. I'm only up to ep 7 and I like what I'm seeing so far. It is rather cliched by the main actors help the plot a lot. I really like Barbie in this role. She acts the spoilt rich girl well haha.
Show wasn't the best in the beginning because it felt like his character was TOO EXAGGERATED. But it got less exaggerated later on and you can start to see him become a little more serious.

I don't think romance is going to play a very large role in this drama so best not to get our hopes up about it for now. Of course it would be cute if Akiyama found himself falling for Nao but in dramas it's usually the naive girl that falls for the cold guy first.
I found it weird how they let Akiyama into round two so easily too! But then it's all going to be explained from what kilaalaa said so I'm waiting patiently for the next episode. They better explain things properly with the script though or I'm just going to be extremely disappointed. There are a few holes here and there so I want them ironed out.
Really glad to hear how well the drama is doing. I wonder who actually stays up to midnight to watch tv though lol. It's pretty damn good to pull in viewers in that time slot.
Lol did anyone find Nao's stance hilarious when she first started spying on the teacher and when she told him she was going to steal back the money? She looked so determined yet so childish. Gah she's so cute in this.
