  1. MY ENCOUNTER WITH LBH AT THE AIRPORT !! Rubie and all fans, I just like to share this with you. Thanks to Barbara for your help . Very early this morning, I got a call from a member of the LBH fan club whom I met yesterday at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. She confirmed that Byung Hun-ssi is leaving this morning and told me where the group of fans would meet at the airport. I hesitated a few seconds because I did not want to be disappointed again. Anyway, I decided to go and it was the right decision. There were nine of us and we were not sure which entrance he would use. We even went to the area where he had his escalator incident and saw many limousine chauffeurs. They were very careful in not disclosing direct information but hinted we should go back to the check-in counter. We rushed back and saw LBH's personal assistant who has already arrived. Soon after, Byung Hun-ssi arrived and made a dash for the security area. He was so handsome and so stylish in jeans, white tee shirt and navy sports jacket. He wore a cap and sun glasses as well. However, he looked a bit thin. He was happy to see us and shook our hands. His hands are big and strong. We congratulated him on receiving the "Star of the Year" award and he thanked us. We all told him to get married and he smiled sweetly. When we told him that we would fly to Seoul to attend his wedding, he actually laughed out loud. He left quickly for the security area but turned around and waved to us one more time!!!! It was so sweet of him. I am so thrilled with this personal encounter that I forgot completely to ask for his autograph. This is one experience that I will treasure for the rest of my life.

  2. parkmisoo said: Hi guys :). I have just gotten home from seeing Masquerade tonite. I won't even try to write a review, the critics have done good ones. I was thrilled to see LBH on the big screen. It was so cool to hear his voice speaking Korean over the sound system . I thoroughly enjoyed the film, it was entertaining and did not drag at any time. BH shows new sides of himself, whole new dimensions. I walked away thinking how he commented that it was hard to shoot a story like this, where the character evolves, out of sequence. His performance had his signature subtlety, there were at least 3 specific times he used his glance in his trademark way to say so much. I loved seeing this movie and am so grateful I was able to go. He had good comedic timing and the audience laughed quite a bit. It was such a change from the gangster or smooth guy. A while back, after Share the Vision, we were all talking about BH and I remember writing comments along the lines that I liked him best in his trademark sophisticated style. Well, I was dead wrong. He did a fabulous job playing Ha Sun. His humanity and passion for the common man ws very moving. Hope you all enjoy it when you see it :) My only criticism is of those promoting this film. Granted I saw it in a smaller market area, but there has been zero promotion and advertisement for the film, without rubie I wouldn't have even known it was playing. The Philadelphia Inquirer did not even review the film :( more shocking than anything was that there was no movie poster in the lobby ! I was going to take photos to share, but there were none. This is very unusual. I am sure NYC and LA are different, this is a small movie theater in a large Korean population area. They need to get the word out.

  3. thanks very much to rubie for the pictures, clips, videos and links. I think The Man Became King is very nice...At the beginning the peasant Ha Sun is innocent, he is caught and forced to do the job ...then develop to be the king. I am highly anticipate to a DVD Copy when it release! Hope the boil on Byung Hun's left hand is not painful and it does no harm to him...may he cure it the soonest possible!!

  4. I m so happy and excited for BH to read his hand prints. It is really a great honour of him. It is nice his mom and sister visit the event with lots of BH's fans from Rebeurs, Japan and ...his three managers. They were proud of BH and support him . Rubie, I wonder the wristwatch BH wearing...if it is from his father...his late father would be there and share the great moment with BH. ...
