That was too much, normally weekend dramas bank on such bizarre unreasonable scenarios for viewership and shock factor but even for a weekend show it was too much, has a daughter at 18 who is raised by sister and this scumbag is shouting at same sister telling her not to return home before this time etc etc when she is pregnant and on top of it telling her to throw away the kid, he hates that baby and bla ba. Gosh writers went too overboard in showing such a sad sack of a person.

On ep 2 and watching ep 1 really don't get why kim hee ae is talking in whispers throughout. Like I know she did whole whisper dialogue delivery in Midas and saw viewers criticizing it and she is doing it here as well. And it seems watching her whisper some other actors also started doing whispers but thankfully those actors did it in few scenes not for most part of show like she is going on. She is standing with ms son on top of duty free building and you notice ms son talking in normal voice and kin hee ae's whispers are going on.
Show premise is nothing new and secretary suicide is straight out of why her. Not impressed with daughter actresses.
All in all show is great but kim hee ae's whispering is making it hard. Really liked her in world of married and had high expectations.

Oh so you mean he doesn't want to believe it's his, it looked like bad editing in that scene or that it was poorly written as just a minute back she told him it's his, so for someone to again react as if it's not his when few minutes back he was fighting to be told truth and that he will take the responsibility of baby it was strange that he suddenly flipped around. I am still not sure on that scene what were writers trying to do. I mean after learning it was his he was still saying this baby is male lead's, it felt so strange.

As in either go full romamce or none but stop teasing this way, like keep guessing something is perhaps between them etc is annoying. I don't want romance as I don't see any chemistry between them. If it were some other actress like kim so yeon or anyone who can act, I would have loved it.

But I got confused, at police station when ex bf asks whose child is it she snaps and says it's yours but when she is leaving he again says, ' so you said it is not mine'. I didn't get what did that mean, she had just confessed it's his but now suddenly he is asking opposite.

Okay one thing I have come to realize after watching episode 2 is that the best part of drama for me is actor kim byung chul and it's him who brings me to the show with his perfect acting.
Although I am liking the show but episode 2 has me very confused. I feel korean dramas are now heading towards pseudo feminism zone, like in attorney shin the female lead case where even though she was psychologically abused by husband, she goes out to sleep around with a man and still throughout the show she was painted as a victim and treated as a queen who deserves special honor.
Here too there are many problematic things shown on female lead and writers are trying to justify them through..umm actually no logic. Specially the part about physically assaulting her husband.
Firstly, female lead's mother's behavior is worth checking. You feed your daughter bad medicine and she gets a severe illness, then same person goes around trying to force others into surgery, firstly nephew then forcing her husband and her obsession with guilt tripping everyone, like instead of guilt tripping others how about you remind yourself what caused this.
Her husband isn't a nice guy and mil is a total psycho but I mean if he is also a doctor and main bread earner of family, she is ill, if he also falls ill what will happen to the family and kids? And his job is tough he needs a healthy body to carry out tasks. Also I really want to say agreeing to go through surgery is a very big decision as it is your body and it jeoperdizes your future health and life, why should a person be shamed for choosing not to donate their organ like this drama is doing. I know a certain aunt who needed an organ transplant and her son wanted to give but she refused because he was young and she didn't want him to suffer. Just giving an example.
The show shouldn't try to shame people or paint husband evil because he refused the surgery IMO and same if wife refuses. And as if that is not enough she goes into his room and slaps him for this. I am sorry but if a husband character had done this to a bad wife would wife's current cheerleaders react same way? This is happening in kdramas that they show domestic violence from wives and gfs and still paint them as victims.
Now if she is spending so much money in single day that her husband says she can buy a car from it and he says keep shopping and spending, it means he isn't so much of a bad guy. Also it seems unrealistic that with this rich husband, for 20 years she lived so poorly wearing mil's clothes and stuff and now she is suddenly spending blowing up huge money and her husband and even mil are not recting too badly. If she can spend so much in 1 go, I am pretty sure it wasn't impossible for her to spend occassionally, here and there on her needs in past 20 years, and if her husband had reacted she could have silenced him like now.
Now the worst and most problematic part of ep 2, it is same thing that I saw in netflix show Fabulous, female lead dates a guy X, parts from him at night, meets her ex right then, goes and bangs him and next day shows up to meet her bf who breaks up with her and she tries to make excuses. Then she finds out her best friend's bf is cheating on her, she goes to his place with her friends and throws a stone at his window and shouts horrible curses at him for cheating..like how does a woman who herself slept around in a relationship can shame another guy?
Similarly here, it's even more brutal that Cha knows this guy is dating Seung hi and yet she sleeps with him and gets pregnant, and what is really brutal is that in present forget about remembering the name of woman whose man she snatched, she doesn't even remember what she had done. And on top of all after flashback memory she had the guts to curse at him so loudly, and then she meekly calls herself a name too, but in this whole discussion she and her friend were cursing out her husband so badly as if he was the only culprit, when the guy actually even had the decency to marry her and leave his gf because he didnt want to abandon his own child. Then as if not enough her friend next tells her to lets go and meet more men..while her friend is still married and has grown up kids and somehow this is shown as emancipation of women? Like how does acting like a tramp makes sense to both cha and her friend?
I have zero sympathy with cha for getting cheated on, she deserves it, she did the same 20 years back, I remember in Interest of love people badly cursed yoo yeon seok's character for kissing fl when he was dating another woman despite the fact that he had already loved fl but here cha's character will get a free pass for forget kissing but sleeping with a guy in a relationship, also I was never seeing her so much of a victim since the start of show and now no more it at all, what I don't like obviously is her husband's bad attitude towards her, her mil is not worthy of being mentioned as I dunno why sh3 would tolerate her in the first place, her kids are also pretty bad to her.
Now what interests me in the show is how she will build a career. Also I know it won't happen but I wish the drama stops painting cha as a victim as she isn't so much of it and just focuses on her career. They are trying very hard to show the husband as super bad guy when he clearly doesn't come off as so evil.
I find it hard to get into the scenes when fl actress is around, she looks 80 and older than even the entire doctors' panel who were interviewing her. It's very unconvincing to see her mom actress as her mom in their scenes as they both seem younger than her. Also her acting is so bad, she mostly stays expressionless with a constant angry expression.

A great 1st episode, suspense about donor was unneeded.
I think it was female lead and her mom's fault to get sick like this, I mean she is a doctor and taking random medicines like this. Then it's fine things happen but surgeries are a big deal, doctors make it seem like a normal thing that one will donate and everything will be great because they want to perform surgeries and earn money, they never fully inform people of side effects which patients suffer afterwards.
What I disliked was her mom's behavior the way she went and started begging the cousin to donate it was so bad and also that poor guy has a baby she can see yet she was so forceful and stuff. She was being very selfish and seriously is this right to force someone into surgeries?
Didn't like female lead's mom that much too.
Also lot of people will cry over fl being mistreated and stuff but sorry lets call her out on her own fault too. She is an educated woman yet she chose to be a housewife, and being a housewife isn't an issue the problem is she allowed her husband and mom in law to mistreat her so badly, like people will blame her husband and bla bla but she has been allowing abuse against herself and for so long, like even now she gets back home and she has to make juice for mil..like make it make sense? Just tell her to shutup, what can she even do?
Also female lead looks older than her own mom infact she looks like mom's mom, and sorry but she has done something to her face and she has the scariest face I have seen, actress playing mom had mostly kept her natural face and looks so good and the female lead has done so much work that she looks scary and double her age. Also there is just 6 years diff between 2 actresses. Also her acting is extremely average, really don't get why she was given this role. It's a fl miscasting just like crash course in romance, Imagine oh na ra or some other talented actress doing it. Like I have nothing against female lead, but why give roles to people who don't fit them. Like I would have been over the moon if fl's mom actress was the main female lead.
Everyone else is a great casting, specially nasty husband.

So finally it ended and it's weird it's 2nd back to back show where actor playing on ha joon, his character has committed suicide, I think he should have gone to jail but writers thought this would be his redemption. Anyways, it was quite bad when you learn that he killed his dad, that was brutal even for him. This is why I think he should have been sent to jail etc and not killed.
I didn't understand the illegal money exchange data erasing part, like infact the whole setup about illegal exchange's clients' list and method of laundering. Also didn't understand the whole block money flow part and how that affected the people who came running to the bishop begging for help. Like who are the clients of money exchange, and if the list is lost how clients are effected. Also wouldn't they be keeping a backup copy of such important information.
Kim so yeon nailed her cameo, she looked very good and badasss and looks so young. Didn't get 30cm convo between dooki and go eun, first time ever have seen such out of place convo in a drama, it was a very awkward convo and didn't even get what she was trying to say, was she openly hitting on him and then the way lee je hoon bats his eyelashes lol, the guy is funny. I hope they stop trying to add even these kind of scenes between them like hinting at something and this one was very bad. Don't want romance but either give full blown romance or keep it at nothing, this whole maybe maybe not, hinting at stuff should stop as they did this for 16 episodes this whole season and have lost patience for it.
One thing that irritated me for most part of season was the acting of actress playing go eun, I mean she was mostly screaming or saying her normal lines in a childish tone, in ep 16 she gave grandest irritating performance when she visits lender's office, gosh it was too much to tolerate, how can one act so bad and speak in childish tone. How someone who acts this way can keep getting such important role. I wish she is replaced next season. Desperately felt kim so yeon should have been the female member of gang.
All in all good season, last episode feels bit lacking maybe because of on ha joon, but other than that it was a good season. Honestly, don't like moon chae won's acting and wasn't happy with her cameo, don't know what even her cameo was about, maybe she will be part of case 1 of season 3, but still such weird cameo, every drama she appears in she has this same stern expression on her face that you can scroll up and see in thumbnail of youtube video posted by larus above, in Payback for 12 episodes she wore this expression and in this short cameo it didn't change. I hope they expand taxi team with a cool new male and female members but moon chae won shouldn't be part of team, and goeun must be replaced with an actress who can act.
I also hope season 3 comes soon and it is again grittier like s1.
Lee je hoon, mr jang, and two silly helpers carried the show and made it so good ofcourse including many actors who were part of cases.

I think it is more due it being a plotpoint for a weekened drama otherwise noone who is 30s and has a career would act like this when he would see his mom in such humiliation.

This show is so well made but slow paced, builds up great suspense but part 1 was super slow. For part 2 now it got intense tho I am a bit confused if no sang cheon's old corrupt official friends didn't know he is alive, how they made him come out, infact in simple words how did those offiicals like assemblyman, prosecutor etc made nsc come out and why nsc came out too when he knew he will be safe in hiding. I think the whole kidnapping and stuff js all planned by nsc himself.

For love interest aren't they forcing a dooki and go eun loveline which I am not liking at all, mybe because since start he treated her like sister and rest of the team does that too, so this sudden change isn't needed. Also not fan of actress' acting. Initially when I had thought on ha joon was a good guy it was a good idea to pair him with goeun. All hope is not lost, it seems he will come back to taxi team for help and might become a member then he can have a loveline with her.
Though it sounds disgusting to talk about his loveline as this guy was a ruthless killer and used to kill guys like it's a normal thing.

Frankly the fight scene in the prison was very unneeded and super exaggerated, like it's not humanly possible to get this far after being attacked from all directions even if he is a special forces soldier or something like dooki was, and what irks me that for normal people those punches would have broken their bones and stuff but these male leads stand with all bones intact and still conscious.
Anyways, I found dooki's psycho act in prison very cringe and didn't enjoy, it also took away from the general dark theme this show had in season 1, maybe it felt more bad because prisoners were acting like elementary school kids getting scared just at a mere sight of him.
I wish writers wrote that part better and then the following unrealistic fight scene really made it dull for me.
Anyways, this episode was average, lot of time was wasted in dooki showing his teeth trying to look psycho and that was boring. Also if he knew he will land in such massive trouble why wait in jail to get into such fight in the first place, make some other plan like they have always done.
I don't dislike the episode but kim dooki's act was so artificial and took so much part of the episode that I find this episode just a filler one.
Anyways, lets hope for a better finale, preview looked intense, oh and still interested in season 3 of this show.

I love the show so I would be okay with even 100 seasons if they keep giving good cases. I hope s3 comes out and s2 for attorney shin, it will be so good.

Initially I had thought psycho wife wanted son's custody because she didn't want the husband to meet ex wife because of son but now I am confused why she actually was so hell bent on keeping the child. What was the reason? Also if she was doing it for wealth I really don't get how she can snatch that kid's share that he will surely get from his grandfather or father, like how she can control it and give it to her daughter? This show had lot of weaknesses where main one being time wasted on rubbish banter by these characters, cheater dj, her show writer friend who was the lamest character in kdramas' history, choi jun's useless blabbering, noodle shop owner's fake niceness and more fake acting and her useless banter, and time was not utilized in explaining many key points of the core of the show. Like at one point shin says that we need to find out if park yu seok and psycho woman did something illegal to get divorce for his sister and suddenly we see he is in courtroom and God knows how he knows that illegal thing was leaking the medical history. Also how a kid could hire a lawyer like when shin tells his nanny off by saying he is my client so how was that possible?
Like real things in the show that mattered were ignored like they didn't exist and time was wasted on childish banter by grownasss adults.
Also please don't write such crappy characters like female lead's, I had no sympathy for someone like her except her child, and I still can't believe how writers tried to justify her cheating or played it down. Same viewers who defend her were up with pitchforks against male characters in dramas who also cheated their spouses due to abuse like love, marriage ft divorce's lawyer guy. Also her abusive language during the show was as crass as the person writing those comments for her. Anyone abusing this way publicly on a public platform is not the person to be followed at all.
I liked the show, had great moments specially 3 friends and bonding but it also leaves you empty due to lack of explanations and time given to issues forming the main part of drama's storyline and lot of time wasted on useless giggling and nonsense, this is where writing gets poorer and childish.
Ep 12 left a very unfulfilling feeling as it felt rushed, the case was quickly wrapped up when it deserved more time.
But anyways, great attempt, a 2nd season would be great but I doubt the writer would change the way of writing much from s1.
3 friends, their friendship and 2 boy kids, even the step sister's characters and mil made the show memorable.
The psycho didn't get what she deserved, he should have divorced the worthless scum, also nephew's dad is as much a criminal as much the step mom so I seriously hate him and I feel he didn't have the right to show holier than thou attitude to his wife, like he is the one who also stole medical records so he was part of it, then whatever was happening to his son weren't revelations to him, he knew what his son is going through, and when all of it was revealed in court he still watches it silently as if nothing big has happened like you are fcking seeing in court how bad your son's state is and he is unmoved, only learning about the phone call details he gets shaken up which was actually nothing big compared to evidence revealed in court about his son's current state and step mom's dirty games, and despite seeing that the father was so nonchalant, so his sudden change was a surprise but on top of it his attitude towards his wife and acting as if today he has learnt her wrongdoings was very unconvincing, like while seeing everything in court he was still fighting shin sung han about backing off from the case.
If he had put his foot down no bi.tch stepmom could have trampled his son. People are lame when they blame others when they are the major part of the wrongdoing.
Still psycho mistress got away so easy when a major shame should have been heaped on her.

I mean I am sorry but moon chae won's character was the worst written and most unappealing one in the drama, her morals would flip flop every single day, she was nothing iconic, infact no character from payback was memorable or iconic enough to be picked for a crossover. The drama was initially good and had great potential but poor writing got to it though it still managed to stay interesting but the iconic feel like taxi driver wasn't there, even one dollar lawyer wasn't an impressive show as cases were weak but it was nam goong min who managed to save it with his acting skills but payback's man issue was that it's main leads were very weak characters and extremely forgettable. And given how park jeon young or whatever mcw's name was, used to act impulsive, it will only pisss one off watching her high and mighty attitude if she shows that in taxi driver and on top of it throughout the show she was stone faced for unknown reasons.

Yes and that is what made episodes 5 and 6 quite good though I hope it goes into 50 epiosdes but with good plot developments.

So shi.tty dramas come and run for 16, 20 episodes, a good show comes in such a long time and ends with just 12 episodes? Haven't watched ep 12 yet but not happy that it ended, they should start a new season very soon with 16 episodes and give more role to jeong sik. Also remove the female lead totally character actress everything about her, and stop making choi jun's character so obedient and over emotional and brown noser type.

Alas, the casting team finds a Korean version of Robert DiNiro to play Palpatine aka Bishop. Oh is not menacing enough in this big plot. He doesn't strike fear with his looks.

Sbs has a disease of delaying hit dramas' broadcasts, could be because of seungri, not sure.
The drug switch part you mean replacing it with flour? Yes true the partbit was exaggerated. Otherwise drug incident is real.

Dunno the actress playing extremely ^#&$^$^=&=&÷&$& stepmom is good or bad but man she is definitely giving the acting which makes one jump through the screen and punch the character. She did a good job, gosh she is actually indirectly driving that kid to suicide.

That jail scene will be where the drama started in first episode. Not fan of such weird timeline warps.

Firstly, I can't even understand how her brother said such terrible things on baby when he himself had a child who he isn't even supporting financially, he is just a leech. And her mom's reaction!! Haven't seen ep 5 yet so dunno how much more negativity they will bring but I seriously am so confused about so much hate for a baby from people who have no role in bringing it to the world, like if pregnant mom is acting so psycho angry then better get an abortion but her relatives doing it..is just too much, it's none of their effing business.

Ep 14 was very dark. Next episode looks like a lot of trouble, hopefully they make it. I didn't understand taxi team breaking into narcotics department, like when they are coming out what is it the glasses guy throws at window, a black blinking light thing.
Also what was happening at the club when the fight breaks out, like who were the guests of the bishop, and how will these people smuggle drugs out of korea like this.
Anyways, since black sun case this drama has become like season 1.

The show gets better but I was so disappointed and kind of thrown out of the show the moment that sex offender actor lee kyong young appeared on screen, like god drama was intense and about sexual assault and a convicted sex offender walks in with fake a.rse styling, driving sports car and trying to do everything to look cool but only looking stupid and idiotic. Gosh so can't handle this guy's casting, and in a drama that pretends to be on women's rights, even the main actresses didn't have any problem with him.
