    Imo, it doesn't excuse what KJ did. They might be crappy parents who enable their son's behavior but they did tried to set things right after they realize their mistake and warn KJ not to stick with KT but KJ not only didn't listen but he also tried to kill KT cus of his own greed. MJ might be a leech but she still has a conscience cus she has never took things that far like KJ did.

    All these dailies supposed to be revenge genre too. Weird how they didn't capitalize on the revenge aspect and let the bad guys get away scot free cus I can see more people tuning in if the bad guys are the one getting smacked instead. Agree that KJ and YA deserved jail time but YA won't be going to jail, maybe only KJ. It will be absolutely insane if KJ doesn't go to jail at all in the end and get a whole redemption just because he shred a few tears.

    I'm with you on this. I don't like how the bad guys are all given redemption without any real consequences. KJ will most likely confess voluntarily and serve a few years at most. He will also have his family and DH waiting for him when he comes out.

    Imo, DH, KJ and YA deserve to remain alone for the rest of their lives. That should be their punishment for breaking up SR and HR. Did the writer forgot about that cus I thought the drama is about them breaking up SR/HR for their own benefits?  I know its probably cus of the kids thats why the writer is giving them all happy ending but at least punish them with something for making SR and HR lose 5 precious years.

    That's exactly it when most spouses would stick to the marriage even if their marriage is dysfunctional cus single parent family are looked down in society. This also explains why SR at the beginning choose to marry KJ so HB won't become the topic that people will be talking about. She rather marry someone she doesn't love so they will look like a normal family in the eyes of outsiders. I don't know if its different in urban areas but I seen articles saying that Korea is becoming more and more conservative especially with younger men so I supposed its affecting the country as a whole.

    It's the kumbaya ending curse.

    Look at the evil woman in Miss M, a bullying, murderous, scheming etc etc. maniac, yet she had a kid, a husband she had killed for, and she died before paying for her deeds.

     

    YA's epiphany is based on a glimpse of KJ's obsession after years of manipulating and scheming. I don't think she has paid for anything. 


    I am old fashioned, very old fashioned. When I saw pictures of a divorced woman wearing white and a veil too - demurely covering her face in a world televised wedding, I was like ROFL. 
     

    So I think she's going to wear a long sleeved lace type. It's the in thing.

    It's kind of an ingrained outdated values in Korea and any Asian countries that a kid can only grow up well and happy if they have both their mother and father. This is a drama thats mostly watched by Koreans in their 50-60s and they still believe in these kind of values so the writer is just catering to that specific age group. Though, there are also criticism from people that think this kind of drama only teaches these outdated values to young children.

    Agree, YA probably had a redemption arc because of SB. I think there will be complaints coming in from the viewers to KBS if they made the kids become motherless or fatherless lol and looking at the response on korean sites, they seem to like this happy ending more rather than sending the bad guys to jail for good. But for me personally, I still don't like how she get away without any consequences though unless the 50k balms and breaking up with HR was meant to be her punishment. At least let SR slap her a couple more times, I'm still salty over the slap scene cus YA had the last slap.

    KJ will get the same ending as YA, the preview showed him asking DH to start a new life but I think this will make DH realize that KJ has truly reformed and will wait for him instead. It's gonna be happy ending for everyone except KT.

    Knew he will chicken out. I don't think the OHs and KJ's parents know he back out yet right? I hope the next episode we will get a closure of PKT already since the police found his dna on the goon. I think for KJ, look like he will really confess after HB spoke to him. I don't know what HB said to him but KJ had a remorse look while HB was talking to him in the preview.

    The writer has certainly played and fooled us each time they made the good guys say they not going to forgive the bad guys. It was that line that gave me hope they will retaliate against them each time a secret is revealed.  

     

    Btw, Eunjung and Jinyeop did another live together earlier on today.

    When SR and HR decided to start over, they both were fuming at YA for many episodes. Is there any reason for them SR and HR to feel differently now? SB was almost run down by a car, so they felt sorry for her? Or was it at the restaurant where YA crashed their dinner? Mindboggling.

    Everything is mindboggling about how the writer choose to finish YA's arc. I will just laugh it off once I see a ridiculous plot from now on. The only part I'm looking forward is SR and HR wedding. I don't even care about how they going to settle KJ cus it has been nothing but disappointment when it comes to punishing them. Good thing we are just left with 7 episodes.

    Same, that feeling of wanting to see YA getting her punishment just went poof just like that. 

    But if it means YA's arc will be over soon then I would gladly take it. We are just left with KT and KJ now.

    Look at Do Hee is also redeemed even after putting her patients at risk with letting Park Ki Tae in the Ami Forte Care Home. 

    I don't know what to feel about YA getting redeemed just cus her plans all failed through. She still stole 5 years of happiness from HR/SR. The leads may choose to forgive her and all but I still think she should also face some consequences like ending up alone and not a happy ending with CG and SB.

    I don't like the way things are progressing with YA now. Very likely shes gonna get a redemption and end up with CG at the end. I thought the accident scene was gonna make CG hate YA for nearly killing his daughter but it only proved hes still obsessive over YA. I do not mind if CG end up with YA if YA still hates him to the core but I think shes gonna end up falling in love with him.

    I also do not understand how a mere apology will wash away whatever she did. I'm not buying it. I'm about to start some beef with this damn writer and she better not give KJ a redemption arc.

    Good thing a wedding scene was included cus someone on other sites commented there wasn't any wedding for the other dramas the writer wrote. This is the only saving grace of the drama imo.

    So we have YA randomly deciding to break up with HR while KJ continue playing the role of being the scum of the scums. Not sure how the ending gonna be but it look like the plot is slowly headed to YA getting a redemption while KJ is the only one who will suffer a painful end. There goes my hope of YA ending up in a mental institution.

    Something funny on Jinyeop ig live yesterday. Someone commented to tell the writer she messed it up and this was his response. He probably knows how ruined the plot is. :joy:

     

    If anyone interested, I have uploaded their joint IG live they did today on youtube and their interaction together during the live were so much sweeter than in the drama.

    @UnniSarah Wow, that new look of KJ, such a contrast with his previous look. 

    KT dying will be so good cus it will give HO closure and assurance that KT won't be able to harass her and HR anymore and she doesn't have to kill him again with her own hands :lol: I think KJ can't get away even if he kills KT accidentally. HR will find out the guy in the video isn't KT in today ep so he will know KT is still alive and KJ will be implicated in the goon's death.

    Yes, soju guy is the one who clinched it so YA can continue with her crazy obsession with HR. SR should be throwing the results in YA's face when she won the bet too if not whats the point of doing the bet if theres no outcome from it. They could have ended YA's craziness right there imo and its not just YA's craziness but I also feel like theres too many scenes that could have been satisfying but it was all wasted on KT with 2 weeks worth of screen time.
