Did she cross the line though? What  are your thoughts? Some people are theorizing that she will be the first to confess.

at this moment she HAS to be the one to confess if Iksong were to happen. The dynamic is too heavily shifted to Ikjun being the one who makes the extra effort. If Ikjun were to do even more it will be far too lopsided...

  2. I am back again~ Had enough of reddit due to the overwhelming hate/criticism of NDS.

I have affection for both male leads but it is so difficult getting a proper discussion for DS without getting downvoted to oblivion.

At this point, it seems that the plot is moving towards DS/DM as the end game. Kind of weird that JP is shafted aside and not having much scenes of him (having a big impact on the plot), I mean even the big revelation by JP is brushed off quickly and focus then resumed on DM and DS. Perhaps this is purposely intended by the director/writer to cut out any possibility of DM/JP end game.

And the plot is FINALLY shifting back to the start-ups after having the last 2 episodes solely focusing on the love triangle.

Looking forward to demo-day, ala DM vs IJ round 2.

    --Random thoughts--

IF DM and JP do somehow end up together, it be one of the rare occasions where a supposedly male lead (NDS) and female lead who already have plenty of intimate scenes together (kisses! hugs!) NOT end up together in the end.

  3. Really enjoyed the episodes so far, therefore appeared out of my lurking.

Personally I do not really care who DM ends up with, both contenders have their own interesting narratives and I'm rooting for all of the four leads to have their own happy endings.

Narrative-wise though, it seems that everything is setup for the two main leads to end up together? Since it seems that the CEO misunderstanding is already talked about in Ep 4 and from the previews it looks like the Doo San letters will be touched upon next week. It is great that this does not appear to be the main angst in the drama.

My prediction is that the story will quickly move from the whole Doo San letters plot and misunderstandings will be resolved, and instead switch to focusing on them working together to start a company and find individual successes..

Acting-wise this is probably Suzy's best project to-date.

It is interesting to note that the difference between both the sentences changes the whole meaning of the dialogue.

"Let's get married" implies that SongHwa is suggesting that let they both  marry to each other.

While "get married" implies that SongHwa is just suggesting to JeongWon that he should get married now to some one/anyone.

So viewers who understands Korean , can tell us for sure what she said exactly.

It can be taken both ways. :) The context is not specified.

I think he pretty much confirmed here that IKjun and Songhwa are each other's first love. Not that I had any doubt in them. Since Songhwa's Pov has not been revealed yet, some had doubts. But from the looks she gave and how she acts around him in the past, it's crystal clear that he is her first love. We only have to see whether she is in the same place as him now or has she moved on?

It has been 20 years, since then both of them had their own dating lives etc, in that sense, she definitely has moved on.

But as with crushes, those feelings probably still remained, hidden and waiting to be reignited.

The feelings Ikjun kept hidden 20 years ago came back due to multiple circumstances , and now we have season 2 for songhwa to slowly realise hers.

Get ready for a sloooooow ride, people. Imagine the community's reactions they finally confirm their feelings for each other! I shall patiently wait for this.

On the other hand, the PD's interview basically just acknowledged that the romance lines were all laid, there is no need to over analyse or wait for a dramatic plot-twist, this ain't Reply :P

I agree with you on the last part. I don't want to depend on the past. I'll be okay even if the one she liked is not revealed. As long as at the present, she likes IJ. If they focus on the present, I would also like to see when she realized she liked him. Was it when he can to her biopsy results? Or earlier?

With that said, what do you think would be the reason of her not responding? Is it because of their friendship? Or maybe the fact that she'll have to consider IJ having a kid?

My take is that it is a combination of she being satisfied of being alone by herself right now, and being unable to outright reject Ikjun's advancements (unlike Chihong), as she is extremely comfortable with him even when it is just the two of them alone (as per their 'developments' since ep6 - their lines of friendship getting more and more blurred).

She will need something to push their relationship beyond 'friendship', and I really hope to see the writer develop this further.

  7. Saw some posts and I agree. For the sake of Iksong narrative, it does not make sense to have any of the other friends (2jw,sh) to be songhwa's first love. Because having them as her first love will not help to advance the plot further, with the other 3 having established their own lovelines.

Also, I do have a feeling songhwa's past will not play a huge role in their continuing relationship. What matters is in the present. I will like the author to develop more on this front, and not use the past to move the narrative forward..

eg. NOT I have loved you twenty years ago and I have buried this feeling for so long so please give me some time to consider etc etc...

How about something like: Ikjun's brave pursuit of songhwa in the present which makes her willing to take the risk which may affect their 20 years of friendship - I am much more willing to see their story develop this way..and please dont drag their story for too long! :)

Right? I don't quite know what to infer from the band performance on Christmas Eve. They seemed normal with each other (like before). What did she reply? Anywho I ll take 2/4 main ships for now gladly... Also didn't expect the Soekmin-Sunbin couple, but I like them.

Precisely...the cut into band session scene, them behaving as if nothing has ever happened, got me kinda confused. What did she reply? Did she even reply? ??? Surely yes or no we should be able to see some kind of reaction from Ikjun? But we got nothing at all...

If i had a flaw to pick from this episode it would be this portion tbh.
