Oh I'm rooting for Lee Ji Ah now. Finished watching the ep 5, which is a bit relaxing than the previous episodes. I hope the drama doesn't drag for the sake of ratings.
The inconsistency of the characters is a let-down though. At one point, they seemed calm and composed, or timid, and the next they became irritating and annoying. Especially that daughter of KSY. The way her character is portrayed is confusing.

The biggest injustice is the death of Seol Ah, like how could that happen? It's too much for Lee Ji Ah to handle, seeing the death of a girl in just minutes after finding out that she's your biological daughter.

Someone on facebook compared this drama to "The world of the married" in terms of rating. He may be right, but "Married" was a much better drama and even that was underwhelming.
The holes in Penthouse is greater in number than a volcano crater.
Also, "Penthouse" reminds me of "Telenovelas are hell" videos, if you know what I mean .

I've just finished watching the episode 3. I guess the producers just want high ratings and nothing else. This is your typical, formulaic k drama that should have aired in 1999, except this one has more glitters with big budget. I feel sorry for the lead actresses. I will admittedly keep watching tho

So from Ep2 we know that Sim Soo-ryeon is not the biological mother of Seok-hoon and Seok-kyung. No wonder they are so cold towards her. Joo Hye-in, the girl laying in the hospital bed is a fake daughter that Joo Dan-tae hired. I think Min Seol-ah is Sim Soo-ryeon's biological daughter.
Min Seol-ah is treading on thin ice, she might show the kissing video to Sim Soo-ryeon and Soo-ryeon will find out what kind of monster her husband Joo Dan-tae is.
Yeah. The inconsistency is showing. The writer is not really aware or is he really Z grade?

Exactly. Young Mi was better written. There's a reason why people still talk about Young Mi to this day. I think the producers of Penthouse want to use that hype.
So Yeon should be cast in arthouse films like those of "Wong Kar Wai" or "Ang Lee". She's far better than these typical roles. Well, at least for me, Prosecutor Princess is still a standout.

I guess the new drama will attract the general public, mostly due to the character parallels of Eugene and So Yeon. However, this is not something she hasn't done before. It's less exciting than expected.

@larus Thanks for the pics. My first So Yeon drama was All About Eve. It aired in my country after Autumn In My Heart became a huge hit. I always have respect for those first generation actors like So Yeon and SSH for lasting till today.

I want Kim So Yeon and Song Seung Heon to star together in a movie or a drama. They'd make a good pair.
