    1. RYAN CALLED DM EVEN when he was falling apart because he wanted her to go to sleep and he knew she'd be awake waiting for him - that's true love, folks. Also, DM running to meet RG late at night and knowing he'd be in the gallery was just cherry on top - and the way she scolded him - at this point I don't even know who I love more out of the two. The wake up scene was excellent, I LOVE CINDY.

    2. (future) Sister in law-brother in law duo working to bring Ryan and his mom together - this is one tag team I NEED in the future for EVERYTHING. SA knows SNG. I will say it again.

    3. PMY's english, just like her pronunciation of Ryan, was extremely pleasing to me for some reason. Also how she solved things for Ryan - I love you writers, you did a fine job at keeping her relevant (so she didn't fade into the background). Ryan's past had to be resolved anyhow, and so I am glad they kept DM as an important key/support throughout. She has matched Ryan's affection, understanding, patience...measure for measure. She's a life partner in every sense of the word.

    4. Ryan's mother can't drink coffee...I love the little touch they added. Also Lee Il-Hwa...what a seasoned actress.

    5. KJW portrayed Yoon Jae so well.... The tremor in his voice, the whispers, the intonation, voice cracks... I was heartbroken.

    6. Hyo Jin calling DM's mom "mom" - I can't believe she's becoming my favorite character. Also the gallery staff getting disgusted by their PDA was funny af.

    7. The way they create parallels, and match everything scene for scene - seductive teasing, the team dinner, coffee kiss, sandwiches, giving space, "Made in 1987"... I am so in love with the narration. Pretty sure they will give us more parallels like SA/LS actually acknowledging DM for her contribution to the exhibition when it was denied before.

     

    8. I LOVED THE LAST SCENE. Hear me out. Yes, it was not sexy or explicit or daring, but the the last scene was so much more emotionally intense than ep9-10 kiss. The first is something you do after being apart from your lover for too long and you need to feel them as much as you could, but this scene was something that tells you that they will be just as unbreakable for as long as they live.

    The slow fall of her hair, him taking out the brush from her bun - it seemed to convey the union more beautifully than an actual explicit scene would. Think about it this way: bun signified DM was hiding things, and then she let her hair down when her identity was revealed. The fact that Ryan let it down himself, meaning she is allowing him to enter the guarded walls she has kept around herself as a woman at his free will/own initiative, after mutual declarations of love seems to convey intimacy of consummation without the need of an explicit bed scene.

    The direction is magnificent.
    The fact that they both seem quite conservative towards these activities(Ryan never stays back for the night as long as he can manage to etc.) - it, like first night of a newly wedded couple, holds immense significance. I don't know how to explain it well but I think people with slightly conservative values might understand? We might get to see them stumbling into the room locked in an embrace, but this action was the crux of it all.

    I agree with you. Its totally realistic.  I mean, in real life we do need love, hug and slow kisses instead of going straight to bed. its a full declaration of love when you take it slow . it becomes more meaningful. it touches the heart more. Do take note , as i have said before, KJW always discuss with the Director and scriptwriter as the drama goes along. he wants the audience to feel the love, the warmth, the meaningful relationship that RG and SDM have. A true understanding love and never take each other for granted.

    Dearest Lion Kim Jae Uck, made me cry, cry and cry in the office today. and I also smile with full of love towards the ending of EP14. Am going to miss Lion & SDM so much when the drama ends. Where can i find a boyfriend like Ryan Gold? SDM has the best birthday present ever. Dream came true. how are we going to move on when the drama ends?

    Sian new song is a blend of hip-hop & acoustic... maybe his Hyung RG will come in as the acoustic guest.

    RG wanted to look good with breakfast at his gfren's house. Initially, he thought of going straight to work. then with breakfast in hand, he wanted to look more dashing for his sweetheart so he changed into a more sexier suit as per his IG :)

    how many of us would love it if towards the ending Ryan will sing with CSA? I will swoon of course.

    BTW, i think both Soompi writers & TVN PR editors are LaBit shippers and I love it very much.

    This the is best drama this year and I know I will be watching this drama many many times over, even though i have lots of drama to catch up.

    Love all the casts very much.

    i think maybe Mr Kim Jae Wook is a good coach / teacher. He leads her, coaxes her, lures her like he lures us till i go STS.

    Seriously, i think KJW makes people around him feel comfortable and he gives good feedback on how to do things better. A very passionate person. I want him.

    i love this scene sooo much. KJW is so sexy, his voice can melt me all the way and PMY is so cute and lovely with her pouting lips while talking. really sexy overload . am going to miss them soon.

    Without Cindy, Lion would not have suggested fake dating. 

    Without Cindy,  DM would not have followed Lion to Writer's cabin

    Without Cindy,  Lion would not have been so drunk. 

    Without Cindy,  Lion would not have kissed his thumb while kissing DM and caught by parents.

    Without Cindy, DM would not have fallen after being chased and Lion was so worried,  dashed to DM's house and be blindfolded. 

    And of course DM may have wanted Lion since Shanghai and Lion could have fallen for DM when he saw DM nursing him at the hospital.

    I would have thought ro-cos are an "easy" genre because I mean, generally speaking people would have a "ro-co" type experience in our daily life so we can emulate that.. (as compared to being a psychopath serial killer or a transgender/gay person).. but even with an easy, light hearted drama, I can see he really works v hard <3

     

    Damn I really sound like a die-hard fan super admiring him and his talent. SIGH.

    KJW - A very passionate performer. am so impressed with his commitment. am so happy you are there to witness part if it chingu. it makes us  closer to KJW and PMY and appreciate their commitment to their work more and more.

    KJW is always very close to PD Nim & Wirter Nim in most of his dramas / movies.

    What are the chances that the little kiss after lifting SDM off the table, kissing of the wrist, slow kisses on the forehead, nose and lips are KJW ideas?

    KJW must be studying in depth on how to turn viewers ON & HOT & out of breath. and his gaze and his crooked smile, can melt the ice in Alaska.

    Last night, I couldn't sleep. Or actually I haven't really been sleeping well in the first place because my "quiet" nights center around HPL :phew:. I decided to watch Eps. 5-6, which are my personal favorite besides our most recent episodes. My main goal to see how far Ryan and DM have come in their relationship since they're now a real couple and it was absolutely beautiful to watch their romance blossom. Although it's been mentioned before by others, it is their slow-burn development that really gets to me. I'm really excited to binge watch this when it's finally finished (:tears:). The amount of understanding and consideration they have for each other is very rare, especially for someone you've only met within a short amount of time. I wanted to also try and see when and where it became real feelings for the both of them, but I'm going to have to need Ryan and DM themselves to point this out for me in the future episodes (writer please!!!) because I want to see them talking about it! Before I had the chance to rewatch Eps. 5-6, I didn't get to really take in just how much Ryan goes out of his way to understand DM. His anger of having being lied to regarding her identity is handled so well. He is angry in private but he took the chance in understanding DM from the perspective of her as an individual, not just as Curator Sung or SNG. We saw this by the way he softened as DM was giving her take on the artist's photo, and I think that's why his "Hello" holds so much weight and importance in their relationship. It was his greeting to her both as Sung Deok Mi and SNG. I had the BIGGEST smile last night watching all of this unfold, as well as the scenes where DM was taking photos of Ryan outside the cabin. And having watched her do all of that and seeing her smile + their conversation the night before may have very well been the start of it all for Ryan. Not even just in the romantic sense but simply Ryan seeing DM as a person and as a friend. That's why he was so relaxed when they were leaving Writer Noh's cabin and he agreed with DM about completely fooling CUPATCH 100% without hesitation, because he finally understood her.

     

    I love love love their interaction in Ep. 6. Everything just becomes a literally rainbow trip and heart eyes for Ryan as we watch him really notice DM more as a woman. He was literally the cutest, from watching her secretly, to teasing her with SA's visit and watching her reactions to everything he did when she wasn't looking. Watching, watching, watching. This was wonderful because it shows how observant he is with her. This could have turned into a creeper/stalker kinda drama if they wanted it too LOL but all jokes aside, that's probably one of Ryan and DM's strengths respectively -- watching and observing and really taking in all of that person. Through this, it makes perfect sense why they understand each other without having to say a word. I also loved their bantering during the team dinner and how they were both taking jabs at twisting each other's truths when asked about their relationship. It was even funnier watching Ryan looking satisfied with himself in making up their fake scenarios. My other favorite part was their car ride home. The background music for that scene was so satisfyingly good, but the quiet visuals of Ryan taking comfort in DM's hands and shoulders says a lot about his trust in her, despite being drunk. And of course, how could we forget about him going that extra mile and throwing his pride out the window in looking for SA's mole, just for the sake of DM?

     

    In my perspective, we as the viewers can completely swoon about how good Ryan's character is because of how well both KJW and the production team have portrayed his character. DM is still, however, very much insecure, and I'm glad we get to tackle this in the following episodes. Ryan, as he revealed in Ep. 10, has always been sure of DM's feelings (I mean, did you see him tell CDI to her face "We never fought" when she tried to come for them?!). It was a little alarming to see some people reacting to DM's hiding in the ending as a bad thing, but honestly, that's literally something I would do if I was publicly discovered as a fangirl. Their interactions in Ep. 11 will definitely be fun! DM will get to address the biggest insecurity with herself and Ryan and he'll be there to reassure her and her feelings. The writer of HPL REALLY thought out her characters because we will get to see Ryan the Lion leading DM, our favorite romantically inexperienced gal, into this relationship that has no inhibitions. I'm soooooo ready for the tables to turn as DM learns more about Ryan, and his past and becomes his fangirl. We've spent enough episodes watching Ryan gush over DM, and now I can't wait for DM to do the same in the same level of maturity that he has. Now, if the second leads could just leave them be that would be VERY GREAT, thank you very much. 

     

     

    Also some random reactions from Ep. 10:

     

     

    Are my eyes playing with me (after multiple replays, rewinds and zoom-ins ofc) or was Ryan teary eyed at this part? If it's true that he was teary eyed, then this makes his reaction to DM's outburts/confession so much more endearing. This one gaze alone for DM says SO MUCH and I am thanking the drama gods for KJW because GOOD LORD. How can his eyes speak a thousand words in one gaze? UGH. This screencap alone is so satisfying to look at, like Ryan is staring at his entire world.

    Hello PMY and KJW, what are you two doing here :P? Seeing how many times I've shamelessly repeated the entirety of the beginning of Ep. 10, I couldn't help but keep coming back to this part, especially the second gif. I must admit that I was a bit confuzzled with DM's reaction to her trying to pry herself off of Ryan, but then I realized...that's definitely PMY trying to pry herself off of KJW. I have an inkling that he was still laughing at this point, as you can see from the (laugh) lines around his mouth. Hence DM (or PMY hehe) trying to remove herself from him because he's either still laughing or he's muttered something that made her laugh as well. It's moments like these that make the romance of HPL even more enjoyable. We can see the actors enjoying themselves, therefore we are able to as well. I quite like moments like these actually, because it also makes the characters feel more real and live than just two actors reciting lines and performing emotions on a screen. 

     

    I keep telling myself that there's only 48 hours left...but that's 48 hours too long LOL. Keep it coming guys! Y'all have been my oxygen these past couple of days :w00t:

    in the 2nd gif, Ryan / KJW is hugging PMY's small body so tightly. I have a feeling KJW must has whispered something. Wish the BTS will be released soon. We are patiently waiting.

    Ryan Gold,  you had me at "Do You Want It?" ever since then, i fell in love with Kim Jae Wook @ Lion. His sexy aura has lured me into his Den and i do not want to get out. Every Friday i will start counting to Wednesday. I am super addicted to KJW. 

    I like PMY acting too. Just the perfect female lead for KJW. Blends well together. Like all of us here, I have to go through 5 empty nights to get to you. Luckily there are these forum, IG and BTS to keep me sane.

    soooo looking forward to Wednesday night.
