Remember in middle school when your friends would "borrow" your pencil and you'd never see it again? Same thing. Serious answer though, in the novel the antidote is only the corm(the bulb thing on the bottom). He was going to return her flowers in the form of a bouquet. So sweet.

Guys, I was rewatching some episodes last night. I'm curious. In episode 38, when WJ and Min-Min reunited after the Snake Island fiasco and had their fight, WJ followed Min Min even when she told him not to. Where exactly were they going? Did I miss a scene? Was he intending to follow her to wherever?
They were going to look for his godfather and ZZR.
I was rewatching an episode last night and I thought it was pretty funny when Wuji returned to the hidden cave, he walked past both ZZR and ZM without acknowledging them.

I was talking about the Dragon Sword.(I meant the Dragon Sabre) Thank you for explaining everything
Edit: I missed all that information in Episode 1. I'm at Episode 7. I would tell you where I got them. But I don't think we're allowed to discuss subs here in this forum
Edit: Dragon Sabre
Edit: I don't think I have the right subs. It doesn't tell me everything. And I can't see them very well. I will have to look somewhere else.

The secret of the two weapons is kept a mystery on purpose. What kur4p1k4 said is correct though. Basically, people fight over the two weapons because of a rumor/mantra but they don't really know their secret. And if you're new to the story, that's pretty much all you get to know about the weapons until much later in the story. Unfortunately, the director/writers assumed the viewers had already seen a version of HSDS before so they didn't really go into depth on the weapons' background in this adaptation.

Where did you guys watch is it this?
I hate that it doesnt include poems and chinese sayings though.
I really tried but Google Translate sucks for idioms, poems, and proverbs. I'll enable community subbing for those episodes if anyone here wants to volunteer and translate though.

I'm looking forward to seeing Return 2019 as I had watched The Taoism Grandmaster and liked the male lead. I'm curious to see how he portrays Yang Guo. The Yang Guo in my heart is still 1995's Louis Koo, followed by 83's Andy Lau. Once again, you can see that I'm a 90's girl.
I freaking love the 1995 version of ROCH. The music, the cheap sets and costumes, the fast paced script/plot, everything. To this day, no other version can portray the reunion scene like in this version. Although I'll admit the 83 version comes a close second only because it was the first one I watched so it'll always hold a place in my heart. Here's my ranking if anyone here cares:
LOCH - 94 > 83 >>> 2017 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the rest
ROCH - 95 > 83 > 2006 >>>> the others >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 2014 (lol. I hate this version so much)
HSDS - 2019 > 86 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the rest
DGSD - 97 > 82 > the rest
The Smiling, Proud Wanderer - 96 >>>> 2001 >>>>> the others >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 2018

Guys, I need something else to watch. I feel so directionless. I'm suffering from "What do I do now? Syndrome", especially now after the Game of Thrones finale. Everything I was anticipating this year has ended. Finished Avengers: Endgame, Game of Thrones, Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre (both the series AND the novel)... What did I used to do with my life?
I watched a pretty good show last year called "Proud of Love". Check it out if you don't have anything else to watch: https://mydramalist.com/16403-proud-of-love
Another show you should check out is "Barry". https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5348176/
Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention. Proud of Love has 2 seasons. The first season's theme is body swapping and the second one involves time travel. It's a fun not-so-serious show that you can finish in a day or two.

Who would win in a 1v1 fight?
A martial artist who has mastered the Nine Yang Manual, lv6 of Qian Kun Da Nuo Yi, Tai Chi Fists and Sword. Leader of a group of rebels who would eventually topple an empire.
vs.
A 120lb Mongolian princess.
Let's find out.
You can see the fear in his eyes.

I'm actually happy that they cut away those unnecessary slo-mo scenes.

No.2 I think they do shot it but it was not used
Yeah, I remember seeing a BTS clip of ZM sitting in the restaurant alone with tears down her face. Could that be the scene that was cut?
As for the other scenes on the list, I think you hit the nail on the head with your conclusion. They changed this version's WJ to be more upright and matured in the later episodes so it would be weird to see him change his act from one scene to the next and then back again. They made his personality go through a gradual change.

If I remembered correctly, the 2009 version also had the scene where he demanded she repay him his wedding night?
as mentioned before, WJ is really prone to forgetting the proper etiquette between man and woman observed at that time when it comes to ZM. Barging into her rooms, princess carried her, pulled her so close to him in front of her brother (in the scene after they ran away from his doomed almost wedding, when ZM was trying to stop WJ from hurting her brother and she got hurt by his Jiu Yang inner energy. Well, he's trying to support her who's hurt, but still, it looks like he hold her quite tightly hahaha), holding her hands to help her up and help her seat after offering a cup of wine to her father and brother in the attempted peace talk (side note, they looked like husband and wife paying respect to the wife's family ). He Can be very bold when it comes to ZM
I sometimes wonder if the Nine Yang Manual taught him these incredible lecherous techniques.

After Zhao Min explained why she bit his hand, Zhang Wuji (while laughing) even grabbed her hand threatening to bite her so she would never forget him too. She pulled away shyly of course.
IIRC, the 86 version has this scene. Also the scene after the wedding where he says to her that she needs to repay him with her body for ruining his wedding. He's such a lecher.

Actually I was wondering about that as well. He keeps barging into her room oh so casually. Do they stay in the same room?
So that's why Miejue always calls him xiao yinzei....

Now... who is tech savvy enough to show me how to take/capture/save the videos as MKV/MP4/WHATEVER so I can store it on my computer and share it?
Try the Firefox extension "video downloadhelper". https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/

@subbers
I've uploaded OCRed chinese subs to Google Drive so you can help translate on there instead of YT. It might be easier for you since you don't have to deal with YT's broken sub system. Community edit is enabled as well so more than one person can sub the same episode at the same time. OCR isn't perfect and it skipped a few lines so if you see a blank or gibberish line, just go to the timestamp in the episode and check. Thanks again for helping, everyone.

I think it's better to SUBMIT but choose the NO, so other people can at least see the updated sub, but is not published for general audience. I went to check ep 35 but the sub looks empty. Choosing YES is indicating that you already finished subbing and it's ready for review by the uploader of the video
@vicious219 What do you think? I really don't quite understand how they update the draft sub in real time.
Yes, always select "Yes - ready for review" to save your work. I've found that if you select "no - let others work", people can overwrite your work.
QuoteI went to check ep 35 but the sub looks empty.
That's exactly what I mean. If you select "no", other people will see empty subs, they'll start subbing and overwrite your work.

What's your favorite ZM-ZWJ quote?
ZWJ - Oh man, we're all wet from this rain! Let's go inside and change our clothes. In the same room.
I'm 100% sure that happened. I know it in my heart.

Ditto question from me- I just sub'ed part of 47 (and one or two others) but am worried that others will do the same since it's the continuation from where things have left off. Is there a way to know if someone else is working on the same episode as me?
Thanks for being our volunteer coordinator Vicious- lots of kudos for doing this complicated juggling job!
There's a little icon that shows how many people are working on the sub: https://imgur.com/anpCHaM
To save your work you need to click on "Submit Contribution" then "Yes - it's ready to be reviewed". Tbh, it's much easier to sub using Aegisub. If you guys have that program I could send you the timed .srt files and videos.

@vicious219 So if I just upload the finished sub you won't be notified?
Yeah, YT is weird like that. I either have to go through each episode and check the subs myself or the subber has to tell me.

May i know how do we help for subbing?
Do we need a software?
Here's a step by step:
1. Go to an episode you want to sub
2. Click the little gear icon on the video player. https://imgur.com/DFEDlxe
3. Click subtitles/cc
4. Click add subtitles/cc
5. Then follow the guide by wuxiarocks: https://wuxiarocks.wordpress.com/2017/01/25/want-loch-2017-sub/
Thank you for helping!
Edit: Also, remember to make a comment once you've completed an episode so I get a notification to publish the subs.

I did try to help subbing the series last night, it's easier than I thought but required times. I jumped around the episodes and only can help with the easy sentences leaving the complicated one for the experts. hehehe....
Btw: Are you the only one who can make correction for the completed sub episodes?
Thank you for helping. It's super easy because the timing has already been done automatically. All we need is the translation.
I'll enable community subbing again for completed episodes so you can make corrections. Please make a comment on the episode that you've corrected so that I can publish the updates.
