Watch their first drama, Love Is Sweet... i love it to pieces..  even there Jiang Jun was a strong girl... and we saw and felt the strong attraction, friendship and chemistry between the two of them... love Bailu as i think she is a more natural actress that majority out there...:fullofhearts:

Im just so happy that both actors are pretty well known in china now due to this drama and can be considered as A star actors in the near future.... jia you!

Ermm..  by the way, the secondary characters stories is/can be annoying but im all in for the main leads and more so after they got together where there are  tons of sweet moments together

I dont understand the hate from antis, from what ive read elsewhere.  Have they even watch the drama? Why cant they be happy when a drama is successful, and everyone just enjoy the fun? Discuss reasonably and one can see how much better the CGI in this drama than anywhere else... im super impressed by it...

Never have i seen such quality in china drama before. Anyone know whats the budget for this drama?

Yuanxi has a soft spoken, gentle persona due to his background as ballet dancer, perhaps, while Bailu is more active, natural and can speak more in higher pitch than yuanxi but thats irrelevant. I think she is such a good actress, i might not like all her dramas due to the story but as an actress i think she is one of the best out there.

Youku changed their release schedule. Next episode will come out on Sunday now. And we'll get one episode instead of two on Monday.

Saw this summary of the timeline that does a really good job explaining what's happening in drama for anyone that's confused.

She only has 300 days to change fate before barrier over abyss is broken, so timing wise, it has to be months not years. Locking her in a dark room where she couldn't see light was so messed up. She becomes half-blind because of the ancient artifact not because of her imprisonment. When I read the novel, I felt she fell in love with him because of Stockholm Syndrome. At one point, she was ready to give up her mission if he showed her mercy.

TTJ probably won't do anything close to that level in the drama.

    Thanks for the answer!

Yes, the change in the drama airing... .  If they did it faster, i wonder what other records will they be breaking within these 3 weeks?..

I saw twitter, 10billion viewers? Is that right? Not 100million but 10billion viewers?!

    Congrats TTeOTM! Jia You!

I want them to be the best.. of the best... i havent been so hook on a such drama before.. my gosh..:fullofhearts:

  3. I'm just curious from comments from elsewhere which said that..

TTj jailed LSS for years until she became blind.. like what the heck is with that storyline.....  i hope in the real drama itself, if he has to imprison her, it wouldnt be years, that would just be extremely sad...  and for him to find out too late that she gave her eye to him.. urgh... :wut: and regreting it after she choose to kill herself by jumping off the tower when TTJ was asked to choose? Man, her previous drama vibes? Sigh...

I have tried to watch as slowly as possible but once again, I find myself confronted with the sad reality of having run out of episodes to watch. What do I do for the next two days?

Oh am I the only one who is uncomfortable about episode 14 sex scene? Not crazy that she ‘forced’ him to make out by incapacitating him w a drug. Harumph. It’s freaking me out.

When i was younger, maybe i would think like this   but since im older, im at a point whereby, why dont women ever take lead once in a while?.. haaa...

Ming Ye is a god, an immortal at that, if he wanted to fight it, he probably could have (then again, the laws for the gods seemed to be flexible in some, inflexie in others, goal post changes wherever the drama writer wants it, there is no hard and fast rule there...ie remember how did San Jui managed to get her hands untied after being tied by Ming Ye?...

And we ALL know that Ming Ye WANTS it :heart4::fullofhearts: haha...  so yeah, no guilt there for me... hehe...

This is cute and funny at the same time :D

Anyone know what they wrote? :rubchin:

  7. Ok.. got my answer in MDL from the HistoricalDramaAddict98's comment:

*In the novel, MY doesn't die after watching SJ dissipate. He instead carries her broken clam shell and travels around the world looking for ways to repair it and somehow revive her. Eventually, he gives up and instead willingly drains his cultivation by living through his memories with SJ over and over again in a loop for thousands of years. That's how TTJ and the rest find him. He's a lot more pathetic than drama MY... but then he was even worse of an RickRoll'D in the novel...so it's karma I guess.
I'm glad that they improved him in the drama*

  8. Ok.. it wasmt too bad, have to thank the editing team for ending the dream arc in proper time...

Did ming ye died soon afyer sang ju died? I hope he didnt wait too long... also the fact, in reality the dragon had died tens of thousand of years ago, and only to be 'discovered' by the very people who mattered the most, so that history doesnt repeat itself... the clam clutching... then eberything turned into dust when TTJ touched the dragon bones... heart breaking...

    Taking the dream arc...

    1. Sang ju loved the god of war

    2. Evil princess loves him too

    3. Forced marriage but eventually fell in love

    4. But sabotage by evil princess

    5. Ming ye was clueless on how to protect n be aware of his wife  indeed he didnt do his husband job well enough for evil princess to manipulate his wife

    6. But why oh why... being god of war, an immortal... these sort of instinct feelings should be there!... men being clueless with their wife surroundings is the life on earth! Haha

    7. Willingness to sacrifice oneself...hmm.. thats difficult.. but the final words of sang ju, never to forgive him seemed to harsh... perhaps he deserved it for failing to be good husband.. sigh..

Ok.. now looking fwd how she is going to seduced him...he needs a change of hairstyle and suit after this.. the current ep18's is not attractive.. haha

  9. I wonder if anyone can share more english written news on the drama's success? Im glad that its breaking records, everywhere... shows that these two actors are bankable and with a tight storyline, it will end amazingly... :heart4:

Still remember when their 2nd pairing was announced, there were those who was against it, but for me, i love it to pieces and they should do more drama together!

At the moment, the characters in the drama think this is just a dream, and there's no omnipotent narrator to say otherwise. The characters might realize this is a past life later on. I wonder if the commenters that say this isn't their past life is because they have read the novel. The dream arc in the novel is very different to its novel counterpart.

      Hide contents

In the novel, this dream arc is clearly not about their past lives. In the novel, before the dream arc, Tantai Jin only cares about obtaining more power. He isn't capable of love and is totally okay with killing Ye Xiwu. The purpose of the novel's dream arc is that Tantai Jin feels what it's like to be in love and err curiosity about sex by experiencing Ming Ye's memories.

Whereas, in the drama, Tantai Jin already likes Ye Xiwu, so dream arc feels unnecessary for their relationship.

    Unrelated,

I think this clip is a preview of 18? The part after dream arc is over is so sweet =).

Yes i think so, because they read the novel and they assume that the plot will stay the same :D

It is not their previous lives. Ming Ye is the War God who actually participated in the destruction of the Devil God in the past. The dragon in the river, the original form of Ming Ye, is in a dream, reliving his past with Sang Jiu, over and over again, because she has dissipated and can never return to life. Tan Tai Jin, Su Su and the rest are just ‘acting’ the people in Ming Ye’s memory. They do not have memory of themselves while in the dream, but they will remember what happened in the dream after they emerge, and that will certainly influence their decisions in the future.

To reinforce the fact that this is not their previous lives, I’ll share a a little tidbit about Chu Huang (Fire Phoenix God) - please do not read this if you do not want to be spoilt …

      Hide contents

Su Su is the daughter of Chu Huang and Yao Wang (Demon King).

Maybe this is in the novel? Maybe the drama will change the course of the story?...

It doesnt matter, i just love both leads and the drama is still very engaging, i wouldnt read the novel, and just want to see how this storyline pan out.....

.... though i cant but stop and ask, how did Sang Jiu  escape the palace, with her hands and feet bound, to earth was it? I forgot...  like how... Ming Ye's hand binding stuff not good strong enough? Haha..

  11. Ok.. finish ep16... just a thought...

i dont see why this dream arc is not about their past which other commenters had mentioned. It clearly showed what happened in the past and why things happened in the future...

The god, who was chained into abyss, was from this time... Ming Ye's fellow god, who will direct Susu to the Dream arc...

It will make people remember what happened and how they are going to act after they go out of from the Dream...

Probably to save Sang Jiu, Ming Ye took the evil force from her and become the Devil God at the end of the Dream arc, hence the present situation?... hmmm

Gave me Su Jin and Su Su vibes. Yeah … me too, I couldn’t bear to watch Sang Jiu suffer because of that evil and jealous Tian Huan.

I like the make up for Bai Lu here as Sang Jiu - so luminous and pretty, especially the sparkles around the eyes.

    Right.. :D

Well ep14, kinda made up the annoying ep13 plot :heart4:...

then it got confusing for me... like why did they force that ^evil bone^ on to a wall...

So..  is  God of War going to get that ^evil bone^ so the other baddie wouldnt  control it?...

Another long wait for ep 15 ;-)

Hi everyone, I watched all 10 episodes available. 8 episodes were really great - I love that no one is pure evil or saint, that makes the characters soo interesting and complicated. Some scenes left me with my mouth opened- for example

      Reveal hidden contents

    crows attack during Lin's wedding.

Watching the 9th& 10th ones I felt there were clearly some chopped off moments/parts, bcs it's really abrupt and chaotic, but still the cinematography, music and everything else is soo cool that it literally compensated those chops).

I should say it's the best Cdrama I watched after Fairy and Devil. At least the best costume one.

Hi Leo... yes they did say the drama was supposed to be about 50 episodes ...  but it was cut  and only scheduled for 40 episodes, which is good ...

Reviews on the drama commented how fast the drama is so far, plot wise, fast paced, so much so that... I Hope we didnt Lose any Kissing scenes??? :sweet:

Am chasing the drama after it aired live, and the current arc of the drama - ep11 to 12, im not sure... everything is a dream? And its actually not them and not their past we are seeing... if that is the case, how long will this arc lasts? 6 more episodes for both of them to fall in and understand what love is?.....

  14. Saw 8 episodes of the drama so far...:D story has been very engaging...

Just love Bailu and Leo (still a fan due to their modern drama, Love is Sweet)... she is so pretty and can act so naturally...  Yunxi, yes, pls gain more weight ya...:fullofhearts:

I hope they do another modern drama again ... didnt realise this drama was filmed around 2021, felt it was not long ago that we were still looking at them being photographed with their headsets - ^leaks^..

    Jia you, TEM!

  15. Read that they filmed this for a year...

So much thing could have been done..ep7 scenes were repetitious at some point while ep8, was ok but it just had to end like that...

PHS acting skills are severly under used here... his previous drama more relax and fun, even though it was about zombies, which is not my cup of tea.. but because of the main leads, they were awsome :D

  16. I hope crown prince character will be more than whats happening in the last 6 episode... we need more action :rickroll:

And while waiting for the new episodes, ventured into the chinese drama side, and saw Lethal Man, not bad as a start off, has the Lee Jun-ki style i thought... lots hope it stays interesting... there is no thread on that drama :D
