  1. I like the vibe and general mood of the movie based on the extended trailer. CGI looks good, too.

Bai Qian's powers look as if they're on steroids and Crystal Liu has made her into a high goddess that you don't want to mess with. Still not sure about Yang Yang. I can see him as Ye Hua but not so much as Mo Yuan. Maybe I'm just used to seeing him in movies and dramas with a modern setting. I look forward to being pleasantly surprised as I did with Mark Chao.

Qing Cang so young there, his kids will look same age as he :D I wonder who will become the Ghost Clan three siblings (they must be young enough)

I expect to see one surly teenaged boy, another who's in his emo-angstsy phase, and a sweet teenaged girl to play Qing Cang's children after seeing the character photo lol.

You know something went wrong somewhere when the reason you look forward to the 3L3W movie is because of that poster of Qing Cang :D

And speaking of costumes, what's up with Zhe Yan? He reminds me of a parrot than a magnificent (old) phoenix. The phoenix in me is outraged

  4. I am in the middle of my working day and smiling like a fool so getting strange looks from my colleagues har har. If they only knew what's making me :D

I haven't been as active in this thread but kept monitoring it in anticipation of something like this, and more, happening. So let's high-five fellow shippers but keep calm. Let's not get carried away. The first, most important step has been made by our gal. The next step, equally as important to their hearts and ours, may not happen as quickly as the first one. We can only wait and be supportive in the responsible way we have been doing since we recognized the sparks flying between our OTP.

Thank you Captain JaneyBae. Your deck sweeper is reporting for duty :glasses:

@Sary Em honestly, Tang7 is like an outlier. I feel like most authors write quicker than her. lol. I hope she doesn't loose motivation. I don't know what's the hold up. She can't be on writer's block since she just published a new novel. **sobs** of all books, I had to be the most interested in a book that is in the limbo. lol.

@kmariyano thank you for sharing the video. absolutely hilarious.

It's because of this drama that I got interested in reading the book it was based on. Read the English translation off Amazon and hamster's translation, too. Hamster's translation is the one I prefer but I understand why she has taken it off her site due to the plagiarism issue.

After that, I discovered a treasure trove of Chinese fantasy and historical fiction. I've enjoyed some of the modern fiction as well. I've always been interested in fantasy-themed stories but most of what I read growing up was based on the Western perspective. I'm excited to discover more Asian stories similar to 3L3W.

I noticed that there are fellow fans here who are Vietnamese. Xin chao! I've lived in VNM for a time but, regretfully, wasn't able to learn the language. I'd like to ask whether any of you know of a site that has English translations of Vietnamese fantasy fiction. If you do, I will appreciate it if you could provide me with the link. Cam on!

Loved this drama! It really did the story justice!

For those asking about Mo Yan and Shou Wan, I have translated the prologue and the 1st chapter of the book here: https://hawonderful.wordpress.com/2017/03/05/三生三世菩提劫-three-lives-three-worlds-bodha-trials-mo-yuans-story/

    and here (first Chapter) https://hawonderful.wordpress.com/2017/03/05/三生三世菩提劫-three-lives-three-worlds-bodha-trials-mo-yuans-story-2/

I can't find the other chapters on Mo Yan and Shou Wan, it looks like there are a couple more chapters, but I can't seem to find it. I am still very new at translating Chinese books. As you know, the Chinese Language is so beautiful, but so hard to translate it to mean exactly the same thing.

Anyways, Shou Wan is a Phoenix that is also part of the demon tribe. In the C-dram of Three lives Three Worlds - Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, there was a flashback of when Zhe Yan was with Father Deity. Father Deity asked him if he can become someone that will live in the background instead of holding a position due to his "evil" aura. But Zhe Yan is not considered part of any of the other tribes, because Father Deity personally raised him from a child along with Father Deity's biological son Mo Yan.  So what that means is that Phoenix are part of the Demon Tribe.

It seems like the Demon Tribe also have the smaller associated tribes such as the ghost tribe etc......

In Chinese the word 魔 "Mo" means, evil, demonic; and 神 usually means fairy, deity (good). the Phoenix is  part of this  魔 "Mo" association that is why she is part of the "bad" clan.

Thank you very much for posting your translations. It really sounds more interesting that TMPB. I hope you can find the other chapters that you've seen and post translations of them, too. I also hope the author rediscovers the inspiration that made her start the story so it can be finished properly.

That's 4th brother?  No we need an actor with a more dark/intense look, maybe a younger version of Mark lol....But I am not familiar w Chinese actors maybe another Unknown that will add depth to The Phoenix Prince,

Ok, maybe not 4th brother (but still can't get over the still photo of him with silver hair in his new drama hee).

What about Kris Wu? He epitomizes 'smouldering' which is what one would expect from a Fire Deity  :D

Is this regarding Heavy Sweetness?  No the novel revolves around a younger age group, IMO.  I think Yang Yang will do good as the 2nd lead, Night Deity.  Sorry off topic and last I heard the novel was only recently bought for copyrights so not sure if any news will  be updated regarding a movie or drama.  I like this a bit more for novel and writing style than TMOPB. As for romance, it's within the same ballpark.

All novels mentioned can be read on Shushengbar, all dedicated translators sharing their FREE translations of CNovels for us that are illiterate in the Chinese language.  That's the other place I camp out for my nighttime reading lol

This is another C-novel I'd like to see as a drama. I agree that Yang Yang is perfect for Night and I can imagine Yu Meng Long taking on the Phoenix role because he's such a beautiful man

  10. The young BQ was indeed cute with plaited hair, with some strands poking out like twigs, similar to the hair ornaments her family members wear on their head. I wish there more scenes of her in the first ep looking like this.

It's also a good way to differentiate the look of BQ once she becomes high goddess.

@bbssinq: I think you are correct. I also noted the many times ZY asked YH if he was actually MY, nevermind if MY's body had been in Qung Qiu for the last 70,000 years lol.

As somebody previously posted, someone clueless like BQ isn't what MY needs. He needs the female version of YH or another Feng Jiu because he's too cool and qiet most of the time. He needs to be 'harassed' like Dijun har har har.

Clearly you aren't the only one... seeing I know which episode I'm quoting haha

    I need help T.T

I don't think they mentioned why the fan chose her. But she is its one and only master by choice. It would go back to her even when the Ghost princess tried to help her or can find it way back to her when she calls.

MY just followed "fate" and the fan's choice. Because only BQ can control the fan.... based on episode 1. He can't even holding on to it...

Edit: reading Ken Chang's interview... It seems that ZY was actually helping YH and BQ even though he doesn't show it... Interesting!

Was the night at Peach blossom wood was intentional? He wasn't clear though...

I've always had this impression that ZY was trying to get YH and BQ together, too, esp. after YH first encountered an intoxicated BQ in TMPB in Ep 30. He looked for her and called out Susu's name a few times, thinking she had returned. Zhe Yan saw him and his mind started to put 2 and 2 together. He realized that BQ's injuries from and determination to forget her experiences during her goddess trial may have something to do with YH, and vice-versa. But he wasn't sure so lied to YH the first time the latter asked about what happened to BQ 300 years before.

In Ep. 37 however, after the battle in the Ghost Realm and BQ was again injured, ZY told him the truth, that BQ had disappeared and chose to forget the experiences she went through when she returned.

I think he wavered a little bit starting in Ep 42 with the impending return of MY and how BQ reacted once she realized that her shifu will finally return. I think he felt sorry for YH then. But he soon saw that BQ really did love YH and felt sorry for MY instead lol.

Yes, we're all a bunch of addicts here hee hee. I wait for the subbed videos to come out then continue on to the raw eps. I've rewatched the subbed and raw eps a few times, too.

  12. First post in this forum. Went back to watching Mainland China and Taiwanese dramas to recover from 'Goblin.' Who would have thought I'd go through it again with 'TMPB'?

Read the 3L3W translations, including PBs 1 and 2. Like the rest of you, I hope to see a more detailed ending, including the wedding scene and a hint on BQ's pregnancy with no. 2. It would also be nice to see Dilireba and Vengao as the main OTP in another drama if it is no longer possible with the drama adaptation of the PBs.

Yes, got on the fangirl train of Mark Chao, too. I hope to see him again, this time in a modern drama. The stills of him as Ye Hua, esp with long hair loose,  is so swoon-worthy

  13. Wow, just two days of missing the forum and there are nine pages to backread! You, my fellow shippers, rock!

Thank you to our talented members for their research skills and creativity. I do enjoy looking through the various gifs, stories and video links provided by our chingus. Special mention goes to sooyoungdaebak for the alternate subs. You should put them all together and that can be our official fan fic. Of course, if fiction turns into reality that will really be 'daebak!'

Love the simultaneous release of CFs with GY and KGE, respectively, esp the clever word play used in the Lancome ad to take advantage of the successful pairing of the two (that ad agency deserves an award/bonus for that). I'm really surprised as to why there is still no announcement of an event with them together, such as a tour to thank fans and promote the drama in the countries where it has not yet aired officially. Lee Dong Wook's management company has the right idea with his Asian tour.

OMG!  I'm touched chingu its really hard to move on and the worst thing is that I don't even want to :(

Thank you for the hug donutbaekei,  sorry I don't know how to tag you:(

I'm feeling depressed I think for this past few weeks since the last episode of Goblin, I miss them badly..  Am I overreacting? But honestly that's how I'm feeling right now

You're not alone. All of us are going through withdrawal symptoms, some more than others. I get through mine by watching non-Kdramas (new Kdramas have failed to entice me so far). This was the same feeling I had with R1988 but with that Kdrama, I didn't feel the need to join the Soompi forums. Only Goblin and our OTP got me here.

We are fortunate to have this forum where we can collectively spazz and indulge our #delulu (and R18 thoughts for some hehe).

Haha, yeah, sneaky Ji Chul-ah managed to palm kiss her, hold her hands, hug her, and snuggle up, all in one take (or more, but who cares). No wonder Go Eun-ah was red-faced after those NGs too .

You've got some moves, Gong Yoo ssi, multi-talented indeed. B)

What I found really funny and squee-inducing in the second clip is how GY used his right hand to get GE to put down her arms so he can hug her. Sneaky Ji Chul!

  16. @momakas, thank you for that epic recap of the many reasons why our ship is sailing. Like you, I'm dealing with the withdrawal symptoms by watching TWN, CHN and JPN dramas. I liked 'From 5 to 9' too as I am a Yamapi fan and shipped him with Satomi (I found it strange to see a smiling Furukawa Yuki here as he did a fine job as Irie-kun in ItaKiss).

I hope that we will get to hear news about GY and KGE soon. I find it strange that there is no announcement of a CF or magazine spread on them as companies usually use this opportunity to capitalize on the success of a drama.

@NGRChick, when I watched the last episode, I assumed the 'servant' in the Quebec scene is the guy who shared his sandwich with Kim Shin, and whom Kim Shin sent to Sec. Kim (the scene where his car broke down on the street) since the latter was quite old then and he would need somebody to take over as his 'caretaker.'

This would tie in to the 30-year timeline mentioned by Samshin granny in SE2 (special episode 2).

Forgot to add that a total of 50 years must have passed before Kim Shin met his bride again in Quebec based on the time mentioned by Samchin granny in the special ep.

    Yoo In Na #유인나 & I #이동욱 will be the DJ for tonight and tomorrow's special episodes of #Goblin #도깨비- on Feb 3 & 4, at 6.40PM

Does this mean GY and KGE will be the DJs in the next one? If that happens, let's all do the dance of joy! If it's not true, let's dance anyway and join Sec. Kim!
